I was treated like I had been going there for years. The guy in the store was great help, and the restaurant food was really good. Ill definitely be back.If youre looking for an authentic camping experience, theyve got it.
Michelle is the reason it went down to two stars. Zero if the review would be if just her but I would like to see the resort not have her and still do good so I will not. This manager of the restaurant called me out to the park to discuss the note I left on the receipt. It stated she needed to inform us of a dipping sauce being more than 50% of the entree price $7.50 with $3.50 dipping sauce. She spoke to my boyfriend while he was buying firewood after our meal (which she earlier refused to sell me) and was super mad that we did not speak to her about the issue (she never asked us about of food, we had to ask for the bill and she slammed the receipt down and walked away without coming back) and said I needed to come down and talk to her. He stated it was for him and that was not enough. I left our paid for campsite to go speak in the the office and she wanted me to come to the park and discuss instead. I went to the office with Michelle never coming in and the grandson of the owner was amazing. He offered us a refund of all we had purchased (other than than the food) and we could leave it to stay with a refund of just the site. I decided to leave as I do not participate in behavior like Michelle had. I was literally called out to a park like a high school fight. Hard to explain in words but the actions were enough to persuade others to NOT go until she is gone. Before her I have enjoyed Bunkers many times, never again until that scary woman is gone.
We have always loved Williams Lake Bunkers we love the fishing. When you only want to go fishing its only five bucks a person if youre over 12.If your Under 12 it free fishing. You can fish from the time it opens till 4 in the morning if you want too. That is what is so nice about this place. They have tent camping that and cabins that are great as well. Swimming and boat launch, boat rentals kayak rentals, and Im sure theres more other fun things to do we just havent gotten around to do everything. They have a great little restaurant call Xannys they have great food too. The people are friendly and great at Bunkers.
Ummm...red neck and white trash. Dusty and dirty. Desperately in need of some serious updates- couldnt even run our air the electrical so out of date.
Great food, down to earth people, Michelle is a sweetheart who manages the restaurant. All are welcome. The resort is old school but that’s the charm. Fantastic fishing dock and decent boat launch.
The cabin I rented (#4) was absolutely disgusting. The carpet wasnt vacuumed and was filthy, the bathroom floor wasnt swept or mopped and the shower was so disgusting, it looked like it hadnt been cleaned in over a year. The floor was black from dirty feet and probably a 1/4 inch of black hair in the drain. The light in the kitchen over the stove was burned out. There were spider webs in between the wood cracks in the walls and ceilings. For $95 a night, I can forgive the padlock front door, the non-shutting screen door, and the spider webs and beehives on the outside of the building, but I cant forgive the filth. There is just no excuse!
Always a great time! We caught 11 trout today! Good pan size!
The atmosphere and fishing were great! And the area was so beautiful.
Ive been going to bunkers since my grandfather started the tradition with me in 1979. 41 years Ive been going atleast 5 times during the summers, renting cabin or reserving an rv spot .I started this tradition with my children and spend our weekends, and family vacations there. After today I will never be back after we were asked to leave, after we paid because now the swimming area is on for overnight stays. Mind you I just reserved a cabin for 3 nights for the following week, and paid for us to fish. The manager lady in the red truck was down right rude, said I will be asking for a refund that we just paid, and cancelling my further reservations. She said fine. Looks like we will be building traditions and memories elsewhere.
Went for some drinks, and enjoyed great views of the lake. But the Bunkers punch isnt very good.
So much fun, we did not want to leave. Very homey, a neat little campground! We cannot wait to go back next year. We have more exploring to do so we probably wont head back there til then, but we might, because the friendly hospitality and inexpensive price make Williams Lake a fabulous choice to spend some time!
I loved the place. My wife and i are going back on our anniversary next month.
Nice place for a get away for a week end
This is a really nice place! We just spent Memorial Day Weekend at Bunkers Resort and had a blast! Very pet friendly. Dock fishing, boat rentals whatever you need. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. We reserved a spot for next year
The only rule was keep dogs on a leash. Absolutley feel in love with the place. Staff is all American, down to earth, friendly. Couldnt have been more satisfied and i am not one to enjoy any kind of camping experience. I love this place only cost $305 for 3 nights. Check out isnt till 1pm bonus, and we were running late; werent bothered one time. Not even a gentle reminder. Thank you! Well be back next season.
Only ate at the restaurant. Building was a classic. Tables and seating was old. Food was great for the price. Will go there again for sure.
Great place to fish plus everyone there is friendley
NO DAY USE IVE BEEN GOING FOR 10 YEARS AND IM 13 NEVER GOING THEIR BACK
Very disappointing that when we had a LARGE group renting cabins, tent spots and trailer spots that the customer Service was so poor. This was a Family Reunion where people had come from all over the state to stay and visit and we were treated like we were sub par people. The lady that handled the check out made it seem like an inconvenience that we all wanted to pay individually for our rental area and then refused to take one individuals debit card for payment stating that we were making it to hard. there was dog poop in the cabin that we had rented and when I advised her of this all she said was oh, Im sorry. No offer of a discount or anything. When another family member went in to inquire about purchasing a location at the resort, he was told that there wouldnt be any way that he could have 50 people there like we did this weekend. My husband and I looked at all the lots that were for sale and were also going to purchase one but after the way that our family was treated, we will look in other places. Sorry to see such a beautiful location be brought down by people that do not know how to treat the customers that keep your location open. Next time we will stay down the street at Klinks, at least they treated us kind when we stopped and asked for information.
Fish werent biting and food was lacking.
We were at the bar karoaking, my nephew had already ordered 2 drinks, at 10 they decided to check ids of some in the bar. I told the lady that my nephew had already had 2 drinks. The lady says, rudely, Im the manager. When it can ed time to check out, the lady was pretty rude. I wanted to pay for my tent sight and 1/3 of my 1 night cabin stay. The women wouldnt take my debit card for my part. I just cant do it. She said. She was pretty rude, even walked away to another room when we tried to ask a question
Very friendly and nice.
People were nice, lake is pretty BUT, it was very dirty bathroom and shower was really bad and the PP were full and smelled awful. Our site was next to them so that made for a smelly weekend. Bees were everywhere. They had catchers on the trees that were full and had nests inside the trees. There is no place to swim because the swimming area was disgusting. The restaurant had decent food and good service but was really run down. Not a good family place but if you just want to fish im sure its ok.
Good food, friendly staff. We had So many people some dishes were mixed up, but, easy to fix. Little too early or warm for good fishing. We will go back
Really nicelookingplace but they have the worst fishing dock Ive ever been on then on top of that when my wife took our son to the office/store to ask where he can go swimming the lady was really rude and said their swimming area is only for people who are renting their cabins then said did you try klinks. Well next time we will do just that and never plan to come back here again.
Family time favorite!
Horribly maintained
Our family visited Bunkers to take advantage of their $5 a pole dock fishing. It was peaceful, everyone was friendly and welcomed our busy little family, and the view was spectacular. We went home with three 10-12in rainbow trout, and they were delicious. Our daughter even caught her first fish! Well definitely be back.
I tell you they treated me good and said i could go fishing anytime! i love this place!!
I visited friends here. The lake is a man made lake, which has fish put into it, and various animals enjoy playing in. Its a nice tranquil place away from most things in the world. There is a lack of cell service there, and it is 45 minutes from a town. I enjoyed visiting there, but wouldnt stay.
Beautiful place
We didnt eat at the restaurant. We stayed one night out of three we had planned to stay. The people were sweet, but the place was crowded, dirty and overpriced. The resort is full of REALLY run down old trailers, and the bathrooms were dirty and poorly maintained. The store just has stuff for fishing and drinking, with an emphasis on the drinking. We only stayed the first night because we were stuck. We drove back home rather than stay for nights 2 & 3.
Great place to fish find food in the restaurant real good customer service caught a lot of fish
Great little hideaway, nice place for lunch and relaxing
Was there for 3 days and it was amazing! My wife and my 3 boys had the best time. Ben is amazing, friendly, and my boys loved him. They all caught lots of fish off a boat. We had no luck on the dock but witnessed lots of huge trout being caught. We already booked next year and we are bringing more family.
We were told when we reserved our cabin it would be $95 per night for 2 nights. When we checked out they crossed it off and said there was a mistake and charged us $125 per night. Be cautious.
Nice lake ... Small tent camping areas
The people here are awesome. I chose this place over that other one everytime. Bunkers has never done me wrong. Thank you everyone at bunkers.
Less commercial and quite friendly! Fishing was great after Rod showed us how to fish. He even took us out on his boat!!
Had a blast here with friends and family.
The food is pretty good and you get to dir right over the lake. Friendly service and entertainment.
We had reserved a cabin for three nights. Upon arrival we were told they didnt have our reservation and only had a cabin for one night that we could have. So disappointed:(
Love this place
Beautiful lake. Great place!
Decent bar decent prices decent fishing. All good but nothing great.
So much fun!
Love it! Great prices, even better people, and the food was phenomenal!
Nice place however fish our tricky to catch 5 dollar fishing fee
Its an awesome fishing spot and great environment
Been fishing at Bunkers for years people are nice and the lake is great and the fishing is second to none whether in a boat or on the dock.
Nice but not enough parking
We Love it here!
Beautiful area, would love to stay for a while, only ever gone for day trips.
Been coming here since I was a little kid best trout fishing in the state
Great salad bar, burgers and view.
Great fishing and good rates.
Nice little camp spot
I love bunkers me and my mom and aunt come here once or twice a week from spokane the fishing is great we were there may 25 th and caught a 5.5 lb rainbow trout and a few 2-3lbs limited out
Ok, talking about fishing. I catch my limit of Rainbow Trout off the dock every time.Ben (nicest guy) opens the place at 5am, but you can arrive earlier and just go pay when he opens. He will always be ready with advice on what is working for bait and what part of the dock to work. Very peaceful lake with minimal boat traffic. Fish variety is limited but reliable. I dont know really what the resort entails. There are folks that seem to have permanent accommodations but I have no idea if they rent anything other that boats. Just never checked it out. Ive also never tried a boat as I seem to usually do as well or better off the dock than those that use boats. It is a bit of a drive out in the country, but the drive is nice and the traffic almost non-existent. I havent really figured out the hours for Xannys restaurant. They closed one day we were there for lack of business, but were open the next time we went. Good food and service and not overpriced. Not a fancy place, but nice folks and good solid fishing and thats why I go there every time we are in town.
Went for fishing and turned out great.
Just stopped in for a drink.
Good place to fish and go boat fishing
Great place to take the kids fishing. Fish right off of the dock.
We went to fish it was a very pleasant afternoon
Excellent salad bar
My heart attack started there but still good fishing !
Not a very good swimming area
Wonderfull people
The fishing is great there.
Favorite place in the area
Too loud and the food was cold and greasy
Where my father in laws ashes are, very beautiful that day
Fear place
Friendly people, welcoming place.
My favorite fishing spot.
Awesome place
Lack of parking. Restaurant has irregular hours.
Best place to fish and have fun
Beware of this place. I reserved three nights in one of their cabins well in advance only to be told a week before the scheduled dates that they would not honor the reservation. Very incompetent management!
Caught a 6 pound rainbow trout off of the dock!
Beautiful Peaceful Great Fishing we will be back
Great fishing.
Nice people good fishing
Great fishing
