Very cool, laid back taproom. 3 separate areas to sit with all different types of seating. Sit up at the bar or kick back on a couch in the corner. Outside seating curbside is always an option.

Beer selection looked great. Nice bottles as well. Unfortunately sat at the bar for 15 minutes and was passed by the bartender a half dozen times without a word before I walked out. If you’re too good to say “I’ll be right with you” then you’re too good to take my money. Stark juxtaposition from just getting some of the best service in my life at Main St. Meats. Writing from a cozy chair at Proof with a delicious old fashioned in hand.

I walked in, and the bar tender didnt ask me what I want but instead asked what I like. As soon as I gave her enough of an idea of the beer I like, she walked over to the wall of endless taps and started filling little samplers. She was generous and fun and not pushy or judgy. I enjoyed my beer there and the atmosphere and the service were top shelf!

Wonderful decor filled with local art and often music showings. Great selection of beer and cocktails on draft, they offer snacks but also allow you to bring food in. They bartenders are as cool as this place, and I love to visit them!

Walked all the way across town to have an Aperol spritz at this place and it was so worth it. Heather is amazing. Really really cool space.

Staff is kind and helpful. Very spacious but relaxed atmosphere equally perfect for bringing a book to read with your pint or bringing all your friends to hang out. Arguably the most extensive draft selection in town and the MLK placement makes it a perfect spot to begin your weekend evening barhopping.

In town for a conference. Found this place and it is everything I was looking for in a craft beer bar. Great beer selection. However, the first two nights the service was perfect. Not over the top, but easy and simple. The third night (which happened to be two ladies as opposed to the first two nights which were solo guys) the service was horrible. Craft beer is more and more common. Service has always been important and is becoming more and more important as more places have great beer on tap. The two ladies working tonight need to take some notes from the bartenders who were working the previous two nights. It doesn’t take much effort to be nice to your patrons.The two stars are for the beer and the two awesome bartenders the first two nights. Too bad I have to leave Chattanooga with a bad taste in my mouth.

I always enjoy this place when I get a chance to go. They have many beer options on tap and most of them are local or at least Tennessee beers. Big enough rotating selection that I get to try something new Everytime I go in. Its usually pretty quiet so everyone can hear each other talk

So many beer options. It took me 10 minutes to find the perfect fit for my Tuesday afternoon, and in no way was that bad. Amazing rotators and a very easy, fun, and quaint environment with board games!!

The atmosphere is fantastic here. Theres tons of room with multiple bar stands, tables, chairs, and a lot of really cool local art. The staff is super chill and very knowledgeable about the product they carry. Theres a plethora of different events they have from open mic night to local bands playing and many other things.

The manager told us they closed at 8She served us at 7:40. Such a sweet soul. One beer each. 5 oz. was perfect..great selection, awesome sevice. A friend of mine built that sight out. It was a lovely experience, and the service was great. we will go back. my wife and I do not drink much, but I would highly recommend Barley. There is a lot to do there.

One of the chillest places in town to grab a beer. The selection is so wide and varied that it is a great place to meet with picky friends or with people who just recently turned 21 and dont know what they like to drink yet. The comedy open mic on Thursdays, Alcoholic Not Anonymous is one of the best mics in town. Great vibe, great.beer, great laughs

Massive selection of draft beer. Many sours to choose from. They have living room style seating like couches and chairs including a nice bar and some high tops. Card and board games are available as well as some arcade games.

Really nice lounge areas, and a great selection on tap! We had a large group and took over one of the side rooms. There was plenty of space for sitting of various designs, but all very comfortable. I noticed that the place was dog friendly, so there were a lot of good puppers. As a hang out place, I really like this location.

Great place to kick back. The male owner was either drunk and angry or just having a bad day and didnt like the look on my face, possibly both. Regardless, this place rules and should be visited.

Neat, eclectic place. Package store and bar with a good selection, games, and music. They poured a little light on the wine and a lot of options had kicked, though.

Good atmosphere and great people. For a Saturday night I dont think that myself, or any of my friends, waited any longer than a minute before somone was available to serve us. Will definitely be back and will reccomend to anyone.

Definitely a great place to grab a drink. They have a friendly staff, huge selection of drinks, comfortable seating, well kept restrooms, small outdoor area, multiple TVs, arcade games to play, and often fun events like open mic comedy.

I love Barley. Its such a good atmosphere, very laid-back and relaxed. I tend to hate bars in general but this is one of my favorite hangout spots in Chattanooga. 10/10

This has become one of my favorite beer places in Chattanooga. Its a really chill, comfortable place with an excellent selection of craft beer both on draft and for purchase in bottles. It has no food beyond simple bar snacks, but the beer is why you go there.

If youre into beer this is the place to go. Fill up a growler of one of their many beer on tap, walk out with a unique craft beer in cans or bottles or just sit in the chill atmosphere and drink a brew with some friends. Its a great place.

If you like craft beer and a great atmosphere, Barley is for you. They have 64 beers on tap from all over the world, and they also have singles & six-packs for sale. The bartenders never fail to give me a great recommendation. There is plenty of seating (they have 3 rooms inside plus an outdoor seating area), and you can play games, watch tv, or just talk! You are also allowed to bring in your own food, so you can take advantage of all the neighboring restaurants. Barley also partners with local and regional breweries to showcase their brews, so check out their Facebook page for upcoming events.

They always have a great selection of beer (64+ taps). The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are friendly.

Relax and quiet place; nice for grabbing a quick drink. Theres a place outside to sit as well. Only problem is the lack of food (there are some snacks however)
