I have had nothing but a great experience with this swim school. The instructors really take pride in their work and want to see each and every kid succeed. Anytime I have had concerns with how my child was progressing or even regressing, they listened and worked with me and my child. Of course I have my favorite instructors but all that we have had through the various level advancements have been wonderful.

Its with hesitation that I write this review because I SO wanted to give this place 5 stars. The facilities are top-notch, and the front-desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. My also children really enjoyed their experience. So, why the 3 stars?Well, first, please note that my main reason for enrolling my 7, 5, and 3 y/o at this particular place is because I could coordinate their lesson times (again, very accommodating!) and the facilities made it easy for me to bring along my newborn, as opposed to the sprawling YMCA facilities, etc. Goldfish is pricey, but they market it as reasonable when you consider ratios, etc. All that to say, youre going to spend a good chunk of change for lessons, but if youre like me, youre okay with that IF the instructors deliver.So, I made it very clear that my main goal is for them to swim by the summer (they started 10/2018). My oldest is proficient (thanks to a short stint at the Goldfish School in Carmel, IN), but my 3 and 5 y/o were not independent swimmers. They took lessons for 6 months (thats a lot of money) until we moved 6 months later, and they still werent swimming independently :( Yes, they got cute report cards about milestones, which are great, but overall, I want them to swim THEN work on those other water skills. Instead, they just enjoyed water skills, but no substantial progress in regards to swimming; I sort of felt like I had been strung along.Fast-forward, and we moved close to a college that offers lessons. Its not cutesy with decorated facilities, but they pushed my 3 and 5 y/o and had them swimming in just 4 lessons. I realize Goldfish may have laid some groundwork for that, but in retrospect, I think far too much time and money were spent laying groundwork instead of getting them focused on the most important thing first: swimming. To be fair, the school was just getting started in fall of 2018, so perhaps they are now pushing their swimmers a bit more, so parents are getting their moneys worth. I hope so.

My son joined the classes a couple of months ago and he has learned different techniques including swimming on his own in a very short time. I’m satisfied with his progress and thankful with the instructor, staff and members of the goldfish swim school. Highly recommended.

I appreciate the instructors wearing the mask/shields in the water. I also appreciate that they know they have to touch the children to teach them to swim and they dont make it a awkward air hug or air high five but they actually give physical praise {high five} to encourage the kids. I appreciate the floor markings with the 6ft distance already.

You have done a great job reopening during these trying times. We feel very safe sending our kids back to swim lessons at Goldfish Swim School. The staff is amazing with the kids and they are always very excited for their swim lessons.

Requiring masks has helped us feel safe and the staff is always wonderful! We have had the most amazing experience at Goldfish and our kids have truly become little fishes!

Very bad experience, they forced my kid to swim pulling her into the water and forcing her to swim. They did not spend time teaching how to breath under the water and therefore. They scared her. SInce that happened, the teacher no longer spend time with my kid, but prefer to spend it with other kids that were performing better.

I had twin boys in Goldfish for a year from age 4 to age 5. They progressed from timid to confident, safe swimmers who can make it the full length of the pool. They can back float, they can climb out, they can tread water. The class sizes are small and the Goldfish team is receptive to feedback to make their program work for your individual child. My kiddos are very different personalities and they were able to meet each child where he was and move him forward. My kids love Goldfish and I am grateful for the results we were able to achieve. The facility is beautiful and always clean. I found the pricing structure to be locally competitive. If you are in the market for a swim school in the South Charlotte/Fort Mill/Tega Cay area, you must give this one a try. The location in a business park isnt obvious, but it works out great because there is always plenty of parking and no crazy traffic to get there. We are so glad we selected Goldfish for our kids!

This is the most loving caring place for our kids learning to swim . My grands. One of them was so frightful and they, with there amazing patience with her for almost a year she was promoted next class up and the most.exciting day for her and us.She is swimming now. I love the staff they are amazing and THEY know how to work with children. You can see how much they love teaching the kids and care about them. Awesome and beautiful inviting place for children to swim as my other grand only been a year and swims like a mermaid. I love the GOLDFISH SCHOOL . Thankyou Goldfish School for all u do teaching our kids the importance of learning how to swim. They love it there and love they areswimming. love you guys.

Our daughter has been going to swim class here for about a year. All the instructors we have had have been very good. They make sure our daughter is learning and having a good time. The customer service we have received has also been excellent. If you want your child to learn how to swim I highly recommend this place!

I am extremely pleased with Goldfish Charlotte! The facility is great, love the decor and its always clean and stocked with necessities. The changing rooms alone are a great improvement over anywhere else weve been for swim lessons. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and the owner is always very attentive - he makes an effort to speak with parents/families. But my daughters swim coach is truly our shining star. Carson is the perfect balance of playful and fun as well as instructional and educational. She has improved so much under his instruction. Its amazing! This girl didnt like putting her head underwater when we started here in August, and now shes diving for rings underwater and gliding underwater with no hesitation. We love it here and would strongly recommend it to any families seeking superior swim instruction.

I am so glad I got my son enrolled in this swim program. We actually started on the first day they were open for business. The facility is beautiful. The staff is attentive, friendly, and professional. My son loves his swim teacher! In a short time, I can already see my son learning so much about swimming, not just for fun either. They put a huge emphasis on kid safety, teaching them what to do if they fall in, how to get out of the water, and more. It’s awesome!

Excellent with kids. My child had a strong fear of the water. We tried several different swim lessons, and he has never felt so comfortable and confident in the water .he looks forward to going back each week, and his progress is amazing!!

Great instructors and wonderful facility

Small class sizes and very attentive and supportive instructors. Building offers great areas for kids to shower off after class, changing rooms with lots of space and a blowdryer station.

Our two kids have loved their lessons so far. The instructors have been great with both my daughter and son who are 2 and 3 and both arent great about getting water in their face. They were so patient and did a great job getting them to feel comfortable. The facility is amazing. I cant wait to see how both of our kids progress.

We were very pleased with our experience at Goldfish Swim School! I could not believe how clean the facility was and the staff was so welcoming. Our two year old had a blast and we are planning to sign him up for weekly lessons!

Attended the grand opening on yesterday with my 5 year old and 5 month old. As a parent I was extremely impressed with the customer service, the colorful and kid friendly environment, the water toys and equipment was fun, the lifeguards were extremely helpful and nice. The dressing areas were unique, loved the layout, the individual privacy and the use of onsite hand dryers. Adore that the facility has extra diapers and wipes available (Swim diapers would be awesome to have ).I did not sign up for classes as of yet but will be considering courses once my oldest finishes his current athletics.

Our two-year-old has an absolute blast at Goldfish! The whole team at the Charlotte location is friendly and there’s a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!
