Very lovely place. Would go again!Plenty of neat local art and artisan crafts for sale. My mother and I went on my birthday and I quite enjoyed looking around. Man at register was very friendly (and so were the dogs). Beautiful prints, wonderous wire crafts, gorgeous jewelry, all very pretty.My only critique is how the back section is a little all over the place (there was a surprising amount of holiday items). It doesnt match the other composed and organized parts of the store.I havent shipped anything through this service, but I assume it isnt half bad (based on the other reviews.)

Man has never been courteous and dismissive. I have gone in 3 times in past 9 months and I swore after the last time I would never return. My wife has been there twice the past month and she actually left bc he was not only dismissive but rude. Will not return and maybe this post will save another from an unfriendly encounter.

The gentleman who owns and runs this shop is a delight. In the many years I have been bringing packages and mail here, he has always been kind and pleasant. He is very knowledgeable about shipping options and is super efficient. Things move quickly. He was training a teenager a few summers ago to work as a shop assistant, and he exhibited the patience of Job in trying to teach this kid the ropes.

This shops owner is, simply put, a gem! We are often out of the country and have all our mail forwarded to his shop during those times; hes always been nothing short of perfectly courteous and helpful. When shipping items, he takes the time to patiently explain all the options and their cost. I am in this shop quite often, and I have never seen the owner yell or behave in a rude manner to anyone. In fact, I dread the moment this gentleman will retire as this will be a huge loss for Southern Village.

I have to echo the recent sentiments regarding the poor and unacceptable behavior of the shop owner. I was also yelled at by the owner today when I walked in the store. I was trying to get my baby stroller through the door and the owner literally started screaming at me to not let his dogs out. So many things wrong with this picture... dont take your business here. You deserve to be treated better.If youre looking for mail services, Carrboro post office is just down the street. Sheetz, also nearby, has a mailing center in the store. The local art sales thing that Strays has can be found at most little niche shops in Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Good luck.

Strays is a great place. Friendly and full of great art and gifts. Bob is extremely fun and helpful. Highly recommended as a place to look for a unique gift, find some local art, or simply ship a package. I use Strays mailboxes for business mail and love it.

The owner of this shop just yelled at two 3 year old boys for looking through his shop door. I have also witnessed him yell at a young girl in his shop. Shame on him! Don’t bring your kids here, or theyll be yelled at by the angry shop owner. Items are overpriced anyway, and I can ship my packages from many other locations.

Glad to have this business near by. Saves me trips to the post office. Why wait in long lines to ship things or to get stamps. Its convenient, right next to Weaver St. Market in Southern village.The owner and her staff are friendly, and have helped me ship packages all over the world.

I am not sure what is going on with Bob Gunn lately but he has been super rude to multiple people including my wife. I recommend taking your business else where.
