We ate at their Sunset Grille. Intiallly the service was slow. The chocolate cake was wonderfully rich. The piano music is a little overwhelming, hard to converse. I liked the white lights they added to the stage.

Hey, my folks lived in sun lakes since 1980,and back in the late 70,s and most of the decade after that,my mom who is now deceased,and myself sang a lot on the stage at sun lakes country club,as well as participated at the sun lakes community church and the first Baptist Church of sun lakes where we sang in the choir,and in various community shows. The sun lakes country club was where my mom worked in the kitchen preparing meals as well as waiting on tables ,so you can say she knew sun lakes country club very well and mama marie also worked at ace hardware in its post office department. I also sang in the choir at Phoenix 1st assembly church which is presently located in North phoenix and out of all the different choirs my mom and I were in pnx, 1st assembly was the most fun and the most professional.

We enjoyed a fresh cob salad and good fish and chips. This restaurant is open to the public I think for breakfast and lunch. Affordable, nice service. Basic atmosphere.

Its not the country club that I like, I like going to the Sun Lakes Camera Club. Even if you never took a photo, or are a cellphone photographer, you are welcome to the club meetings. You will enjoy seeing many beautiful pictures from around the world. We are coming to end of the season but we will start up again the the fall. Look for our table at the Fall open houses, and check us out on our website.

I play music here with my local band for a community of wonderful people at their 19th Hole bar/grill. This occasion was for Memorial Day 11 to 2 providing music for the crowd attending a beautiful day near the links for cornhole games, food and drink, socializing and dancing. Members live on location here.

Thursdays to hear Freddie play piano is why we go. Food ok. Like salad bar and baked potato bar. Good hamburgers, prime rib not very good.

It is an older establishment and the building is looking pretty rough on the outside (cracks in walls, stucco falling off, etc.). They are working to update the inside so maybe the outside will follow? Wish the food was better in the restaurant but, hey....I just go over to Cottonwood or Pale Verde for some of the best food ever and they are close!

Fun place for karaoke.

They hosted a memorial reception for a friends passing. They did a wonderful and professional job.

Although I live in this community, I prefer spending my time and money in Cottonwood County Club. Sun Lakes Country Club is poorly run by an HOA that makes nepotism a standard operating procedure. Several years ago the homeowners hired an attorney to get rid of a corrupt board and with the ignorance of a largely snowbird community, not to mention high turnover, the current Board President is back like a bad penny. For anybody thinking about moving to Sun Lakes youd be wise to save yourself the aggrevation of having to be ruled by despots who think they can spend your money without your consent. This HOA is a disaster.

The golf course attendant was not friendly or welcoming. The driving range is only 225 yds so you cant hit the long clubs.
