The Kids had a great time, the staff could be a little friendlier however the water was clean the place looked really nice and people were safe so Id say overall they really do their jobs well. I will return again.

They sell tickets with many rides CLOSED. I bought tickets in Groupon and asked them if they can refund. Someone on phone said I need to go to them to get it refunded. After reaching there, they say you need to do it online. So rude! Dont go there!!!

Had an awesome time again with the kids. Plenty of activities for them, separate section for the really little ones and our son, who is too small for the individual slide enjoys riding double into the lazy river. Also there is a park right across the driveway and a picnic area with a top where we had pizza and cake for our daughters birthday!

This park is super fun. I love their fenced in shallow pool for little ones. Fun slides and water playground, too. The thing I dont like is how loud it can be, not just with water fountains splashing and kid sounds, but the music on top of all this makes it difficult to call my kids if theyve swum too far, etc. Other than that, its a fun place. Life guards are nice, too.

Had a wonderful, fun visit. There are several pools. They are all included in the admission price. Plenty of lifeguards that are very attentive to whats going on. There was nothing to complain about. Not a single issue. The staff are friendly and helpful.I will visit again.

3 people drowned while i was here. They only saved one of the 3. The food is pretty good tho

One is generous for this park roaches in pool. The footsteps on path made me feel insecure about my strid length only 5 year olds would like this life guards are too strict on 2 olds blow whistles made my cranium hurt 10 OUT OF 10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

The lifeguard staff was very attentive and they enforce the rules to provide a safe swimming environment. Theres plenty of space so it doesnt feel so crowded. The equipment is very well maintained and in good condition. The only downfall to my visit was when we took a break and ordered food from the concession stand. I was told it would only be 10 minutes to cook the very small personal pizza I ordered. But instead of taking 10 minutes, it ended up being closer to 25 minutes and when I got it, the pizza was still cold. I did ask and was granted a refund, but the reality is that it was not a good experience at the concession stand. But if youre looking for a good float around a lazy river, a slide down a couple water slides, a place to take your younger children, or just a place to swim, this is definitely the best aquatic center in the Champaign/Urbana area.

Usually the experience is great but today main pool is closed yet admission price is not discounted, after driving thru 74 construction doesnt seem worth the trip.

It is a very unsafe place sholem does not in force their own rules.adminstration officials do not return calls .doesnt seem to care of unsafe actions brought to their attention for years .

Lot to do and fun stuff to do with your family also that staff is always nice will let you race on the water slides.really great place to have fun with your family

Great location but the concession stand is always out of food.

Your lifeguards are rude and tried sitting my child and his friends out because he accidentally slipped out of the tubes in the lazy river and cut himself on it. And I saw with my own two eyes as your guards screamed at him and told him to get out of the river. He was doing nothing wrong!

What a great place for a dip! It has some fun slides, a fantastic lazy river, and a kids play zone in addition to the lap pool. It can be rented out for private parties in the evening, which is totally worth it. Looking forward to returning in the future!

Great place for a swim. Kids loved it. Plenty of lifeguards. Water was clean. Price ok too. A bit limited for shade in really sunny weather but put more sun screen on. Really enjoyed.

A summer must for families! The slides are exciting and fun, the lazy river allows you to float away, and great places for kids with water play.The park district has committed the resources to make sure it is always staffed with enough guards to ensure everyone is safe. They also keep the place clean for all, all day long.The water slides are managed for safety and are fun!The only downside is that it can get overcrowded. However, there is space usually to allow you to enjoy some cooling relaxation!

We had a children’s birthday party and the staff was just awesome. The lifeguards were on top of the whole party and made sure everyone was happy and safe.

Sholem has outstanding lifeguards and managerial staff. The water is clearly not maintained properly for the quantity of people who swim daily (I know this as a former pool manager)

Seems mostly ok, but public pools skeeve me out because its always hit and miss. Sometimes theyre a great experience, sometimes there are jackholes or nasty people there to run it for everyone.

We have had season passes since we moved here 3yrs ago! My kids and I love it. My sister lives in Springfield and comes over several times a summer because the kids have so much fun here...they play in the pool then play at the park which is just outside the pool then go to the farm also just outside the pool and then can go back into the pool if you get your hand stamped! Wonderful place for cheap safe family fun. I feel comfortable sending my 17yr old and 3yr old there alone because they have the best trained lifeguards in this area! They are definitely on top of their game! Love this place!!

This is a great place for the entire family!

My family and I really like this place. Its generally pretty crowded, but thats because it has a great mix of water activities. Toddler section, main pool which works well for all ages, lazy river, and a set of large water slides. They also have a nice grassy area with shade where you can setup for a picnic.

Lazy river, water slides, kid area, lap area, tube slide. A great place to spend the day!

My first review was incorrect. I was thinking of another pool. I live close to Sholem and know it to be wonderful for the community! Too bad it isnt year around.

Spent a whole Saturday there and my family and I will be going there anytime we are wanting to go a water park for a great price and fun.

Very fun! Things and areas for all kids to play on. And whoever picks the music is on point.

I loved it here, I just wish the concrete walkways were made cooler and there were more shaded areas to sit.

First time here, was surprised at the $9 entry fee, but once we got in and spent the day it was well worth it. Very clean and nice locker room facilities.

The pool is great! I really like the pool, but the last time something was added was the blue slide, which is the same as the yellow one, so it would be really nice if a new slide opened up.

Good place to go with younger kids, though the high school crowd tends to occupy the deeper section of the pool and cannonball onto your head if you wander too close. The slides are a lot of fun as long as the pool isnt too crowded.

Refreshing! As a visiting YMCA Lifeguard from another state, I am incredibly impressed with the Lifeguards and Staff of this Aquatic Center! Seeing the active scanning and zone management system being put to work is a refreshing experience. Guards are quick to stop patrons from participating in dangerous situations, in a calm yet effective manner. Its great to see the Guards rotate positions, especially on the Rapids(lazy river); in fact the four that where positioned during my float, moved at least twice to keep them moving and actively scanning. Seeing this rotation means to me that the management of this Center not only cares about the patrons, but their own staff!The pool itself is clean and well maintained, especially for an outdoor pool! Locations are easily marked with rules and regulations for safety and fun. Even though there are only three slides, they are good fun and the pool is spacious even with a large crowd. The locker rooms are some of the CLEANEST I have ever seen in public! This is a great family center with plenty of toddler and pre-teen areas as well as a lap pool! Prices for entry, as well as concessions, are incredibly reasonable!I know I already said a lot about the Lifeguards and Staff, but it is great to see a well maintained safety crew!! Backboards and First Aid/AED are in easy to get to places, in fact the Rapids(lazy river) had at least three Backboards around the waterway! I, as a Lifeguard, felt incredibly comfortable being at this center. During my visit, the Lifeguards even preformed a drill! For those that dont know what a drill is, it is an organized practice of the Safety Protocol! The drill happened in the Rapids(lazy river) and the Lifeguards were incredibly swift, and I was completely in awe. This team definitely has the professionalism and confidence that truly is required for this job! To see that they are Internationally recognized as maintained Safety Team, FOR ELEVEN YEARS IN A ROW! Heck, thats amazing, and I can see the dedication and care on each of these Lifeguards faces. A real save was even done during my visit, and again quick action, this team is THE example of Best Practices!!!Again, one word, refreshing!Definitely will come again when given the chance! 10/10 100% Awesome, Friendly Lifeguards that know and stick to the rules!!

Pools are nice but the continual blowing of guards whistles makes for a migraine making experience. FYI when a whistle is going off every two seconds it becomes completely ineffective.

Pool was nasty. After they made everyone get out for 30 min to clean it, the pool was still gross and we found a fake pony tail, band aid and all kinds of grossness.A lifeguard attempted to get my special needs child out of the pool so they could clean it and she literally came up and grabbed him, causing him to become very upset. I understand they needed him out of the pool but who just comes up to a kid and grabs them? Even after I told her he was special needs, she attempted to escalate the situation to which my child was trying to fight her off. It was very upsetting to all of us. We could have gotten him out of the pool without the stress had she let us as his parents get him out instead of being a stranger and trying to grab around his waist to move him.

The waterpark was great and riding on the tubes were great and a great place to take your family

My first and last time visiting this pool. Youre basically paying $9 a person to take a standing bath. My brother and sister (12 and 13) were in the pool a total of two minutes when my brother gently splashed my sister poking fun about the water being cold. No water was splashed onto any other patrons. A lifeguard blew her whistle and yelled about the splashing but my brother and sister werent aware she was blowing it at them and didnt hear what she said. My sister splashed my brother in the same fashion and she yells at them in a VERY rude and hateful fashion I just told you not to splash!!. I continued to watch this lifeguard and I dont think she took the whistle out of her mouth more than two times and she continued to yell at children hatefully, including younger children. This is a family friendly pool with a lot of children. I wouldnt allow someone to talk to a child like that at a daycare, why should it be acceptable at this pool?

The baby pool was closed at 4 p.m. for the rest of the day for clarity issues, but everything else was great (lazy river, 3 slides, lap swim). It was a beautiful day and not very crowded from 3:45-5:45 p.m.

Purchasing season pass did not pay off, they pretty much were closed last two weeks due to limited staff

The swimming pool and area is kept very clean. Lifeguards are excellent! They are well trained. All the staff and employees are very friendly, hospitable, courteous, nice and kind. I personally enjoy the lap swimming. For the most part the public that attends Sholem pool are very good decent people. Usually the thieves, foul mouthed, disrespectful uncivilized troublemaking fighting individuals and groups are removed from the swimming pool. Therefore this swimming pool is a very safe family friendly place to spend the summer. The workers at the swimming pool are usually smiling and happy. The water quality is tested often. If there is a water clarity issue they will clear the pool for a half an hour for the chemicals and filtration system to purify the water to make it safe to swim. I highly recommend this swimming pool! You will be very satisfied and happy going there!God Bless, Victor John Fleener

We need a decent waterpark in Champaign; some people dont have small kids, and all of our pools in town are made for little kids. We need a waterpark with more slides, and a wavepool. Something older kids and adults can enjoy.
