Nice park and trail hidden behind an apt complex. Natural untouched setting, wild but still clean. Loved the views of the creek, gorgeous and serene.
Heard about this historic site and went to check it out. Had to park in the surrounding apartment complex but that was no issue. The walk down to the mill was nice and there was some great views of the forrest and cub run/rocky run. The mill itself was pretty overgrown and inaccessible. You could only see a bit of it poking out from the overgrowth. Wish the site was a little better maintained, but if youre more into the nature side of things youll enjoy it.
I cant find the entrance my GPS send me to a apartment community
Clean and safe environment. Love walking my dog and the other visitors are always courteous and friendly
Very nice park with a cool stream going through it. One part has electrical lines going through it and you can hear the buzzing from them.
Overgrown and inaccessible? I just learned of these ruins and biked over with one of my daughters. We found the entrance - which is now a bashed-in piece of fencing - but wearing only shorts, we were concerned about ticks since the entire area is overgrown with hip-high thick growth. From the path, we could barely make out the red identification sign, but no ruins. Fence signs warn folks to stay away. Hopefully, this site can get the attention it needs to become a usable historic attraction again.
Great
The mill is located behind an apartment complex off of US Rt 29. Park and walk down the concrete steps and trail to the mill near Cub Run (creek). Its all ruins with overgrown weeds / small trees but quite interesting. Additional trails run along Cub Run.
Good place
Beautiful water flowing stream.
