Looking for that perfect stain color for my floors , I was directed here by Lumber Liquidators as they do not specialize in floor stains...Guirys was such a wonderful experience throughout. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff from the moment I walked in. The paint department was happy to see me and were able to match my floor stain exactly to a laminate Id brought in, even told me the best way to do my floor and what applicating and finishing products to use with my description of farmhouse soft and smooth but not shiny. I was given a satin recommendation and my floor came out Exactly as Id imagined!I found so much in there that intrigued my artistic side, as well, I will definitely be going back!

We first went to this store when we bought our home a few years ago and needed to do some major painting. Recently my husband wanted to paint some furniture and cabinets so he went back. The young man who helped him all 4 times was kind, polite, patient and very helpful. We got everything we needed as well as great tips on priming and painting. We appreciate good customer service especially when all of us are under immense stress and change due to this pandemic.

Great customer service. Diverse and unique product in Store. Great selection of paint and decorating ideas. Have an interior decorator which is invaluable to me as I cannot put colors and styles together well. The interior designer helped us narrow down and choose the perfect color combination for our exterior house paint, which we loved. Highly recommend Guirys!

Great stop for art supplies! Tons of pens and pencils and markers. As well as aisle after aisle of different types and colors of paints. A bunch of crafting supplies for children and adults, friendly staff and a convenient location. Definitely a great stop if you are looking for art or crafting supplies.

Travis was really patient and helpful! He even offered to carry the paint/supplies out to my car, which I could have done myself. However, I took him up on the offer because it made it easier on me and no one offers that service anymore!

A good place to get paint and limited art supplies. Unfortunately, we ended up going to Michaels because Guirys didnt have the fine line drawing pens, or the skin tone pens we needed.

Tried to go somewhere besides michael’s and this place doesn’t have half of the things i needed. plus there is no rhyme or rhythm to the way the store is set up so have fun walking around for 30 minutes hoping they have it

Had everything I needed and then some great customer service and affordable prices.

The price is a bit more than other places but the service more than makes up for it. Each time Ive entered the paints department thereve been at least 3 or 4 employees busily working to fill orders. And theyre knowledgeable, not just technitians. For a quick touch up job I go most any place, but if I have a question or concern - I head to Guirys.

I am a huge fan of the paint department. Unlike Home Depot I get the exact color I choose and or exact color match that I need everytime without fail. Friendly staff and design help.

Like the quality of the Benjamin Moore paint but dont feel safe shopping at this store with the workers masks low and their noses exposed. The sign at the entrance shows that customers entering should have mouths and noses covered.

My husband is taking a college class and the staff was so helpful with finding all the supplies we needed!! Even though we where there an hour before closing and kept on bothering her which speaking of experience in retail I know can be really tiring. So thank you so much

Id like to give a shout-out to Jim W. This guy saved me a ton of time and effort. I went into the store and was struggling with picking a color for my mid-century modern house. I shared this with Jim, and he took the time to ask me some questions and then he handed me a list of some recommendations on colors. He also highly recommended a specific color, PM-3. I tried PM-3, and it is a perfect color for my interior. Id like to add that Jim is such a nice person, and I enjoy working with him when I have paint orders - he knows paint and has always been helpful in recommending the right products for the various project work on my house. I will gladly continue going to Guirys when you have awesome people like Jim and all the other folks working there. I hope this review somehow gets to the owners of Guirys - you have an exceptional employee who really cares about his customers. Thanks Jim!!!!!

This is my favorite place to find paint for my house. The staff is really helpful, and I love that they have ready made samples you can buy. They have a great selection of furniture, and I found a beautiful table for an unbeatable price.

The best paint store in Denver. They carry Benjamin Moore, which in my opinion is the best paint on the market, and have the best customer service. Can match any color from literally any surface. Amazing!

Incredibly good customer service.... even taking me into the storeroom to show me the paint options. I entered the store with a few questions on my primer and paint selection, and left the store with a paint order that Im not only very comfortable with but also one that has me very excited about the final results!

This seems to be a very expressive place to purchase paint for hobbyist painters. I went here to purchase some acrylic paint as a present for someone. The sales person seemed very helpful and knowledgeable. However the price on the shelf was not the price that I was charged and it seems that if you are a member there is a significant difference in the prices if you are not a member.I am not a painter myself, so I cannot speak to the quality of the paint. The person I got it for did seem happy with it however.

My contractor got a stain that was too dark. I took the stain in with a sample from our hardwood floor and a piece of wood painted with the stain. Jim took care of me and matched the stain to my hardwood PERFECTLY. Very prompt, excellent, and friendly service!

I find it awkward that the employees are not wearing any masks when most of their customers are (including me) are. That does not seem safe. Also, why are they letting people into the stores at all? I understand that a lot of other Guiry stores are doing curb side pick only for the art dept? Is that really a good idea for this location to be the expection? Even Tile Shop and Trader Joes are more safe than this...sigh.

This is a good, local art and paint supply store. Whether you are an artist, a decorator, a contractor, or just needing some kids crafts or paint to touch up around your house, this is a great place to find what you need. This is my go-to stop for local art supplies. If you need pencils, paint, paper, or canvas, this is the place to go. They also have lots of specialized items you simply cant find in Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Finally, if they are out of something, but one of the other Guirys in town does, they can have it shipped over to them.

We love Sean and all the wonderful employees at Guirys. Always have the best prices and service.

Great place to purchase good quality paint.

Went in to buy a Christmas present 5 people in the store working. I asked for help and was directed to the one person who could help me. She was working with another customer so I wanted till she was done and instead of helping me she started helping some one else who just walked in. Waited 30 minutes and finally just left. This is not the first time I have not gotten help in the Centennial store, I thought I’d give it another try. Will NEVER go back. I I will drive to Littleton store. In hopes of getting better service.

Amazingly knowledgeable and helpful staff that is rivaled by very few businesses across any field. I have always been impressed by the depth of knowledge that all my questions are answered with (whether for artistic creations on canvases or functional house painting and caulking). It is the reason I keep returning. Also, their tools are twice as good as those in Home Depot or hobby stores, and typically much cheaper too.

25% off $37.00 does not equal $29.99. Then, employee tells me to take it or leave it. Ive been coming here for years, but I wont return to argue math and be overcharged.

I didnt purchase anything. I did receive good help with a future painting project. I receive several paint combinations for the exterior of the house.

We ended up with twice as much paint as we needed, and of course you can’t return paint. Make sure you know how much you need before purchase! Don’t count on the store people to help you. Their goal is to sale as much as they can.

The employee’s do their best to help their customers, whether you’re a DIY’er or a contractor.. occasionally they’ll need to be called and reminded to follow up with YOU if you have requested they call in an order with their warehouse.

Ive called the design department twice to schedule an in home appointment for HunterDouglas blinds for my home. Due to no reply, I missed the sale on the blinds. I stopped waiting and went on line and worked with HD without Guirys as the middle man.

I LOVE this Guirys. Whenever Im in centennial I go here. I am an artist that works with all mediums and this Guirys has such a great selection, friendly staff and their prices are unbeatable. They will order items they dont have in stock for you from another location and have a it there within 24-48 hours. Its truly remarkable customer service. I love that they are locally owned and operated. I will continue to do the majority of my art shopping here.

I was there yesterday evening and as far I could see I was one of two customers in the store. After a few moments the gentleman at the counter looked up from his cell phone and greeted me. I told him what I was looking for and he sent me off in the direction of the store and said someone would be here to help me. I passed a woman on at a desk on the phone and eventually found a girl helping a customer. While still wondering around trying to find what I need by myself. I saw two more gentlemen at the Paint counter not looking very busy. They have great choices, but I found NO Customer Service at all, which was the reason I went there instead of a Hobby Lobby. Spent over a hundred dollars but will never be back again.

This is a great art supply store for actual artists, and those just dabbling. They have paint and paint supplies, canvas, paper, card making, pens, pencils, and ink, and much more. Support a local company and check them out!

Where is the Customer is ALWAYS right?? Asked a worker, I have seen over the years, to please replace a Guirys paint can (not the paint) I had purchased the day before, the can they provided was rusty on the bottom. I wanted to keep the left over paint without worry if it sat for a year or so.When I asked if my paint could just be poured into a new can.... the paint sales rep was so RUDE, said theres nothing wrong with it and acted as if I was asking for an expensive item instead of replacing the measly paint can that probably cost his company under $5. He went off in a huff, grabbed a new can and said I d have to purchase it. Since i bought the paint the day before I asked calmly and quietly, why I should have to pay as I should have been given a new can without rust initially. After I again calmly said I had spent hundreds of dollars at guirys over the last 20 years and that he as making me feel uncomfortable...he said Here just take it. Shocked, I couldnt believe Guirys would keep anyone on staff that was that rude, I stared at him. He then said quickly...I apologize, here take it for your inconvenience... I knew he didnt mean it, and by then I was still so shocked at being treated that way, I quietly turned away. I was going to buy another gallon of paint, but instead, went to Home Depot where a pleasant and happy rep sold me paint. Lesson here Guirys - train your staff in customer service

Last week, we received the worst customer service at this Guirys location. We were looking at paint samples (no one had offered to assist us), and we were scolded in front of several other customers for opening a paint sample which we intended to purchase. She reprimanded me and told me that I would have to buy all the ones I had opened (which I was happy to do). At checkout, I simply asked a question about the application of the teakwood oil. I asked her concerning the temperature instructions, and we have completely disrespected and humiliated. She accused me of not following directions and presumed that I would start a fire by my incorrect application. We have never been so humiliated and disrespected at a place of business. We will never be returning based on this experience. We do not recommend this store by any means. Home Depot has MUCH better customer service and better prices for that matter.

My favorite art supply store! I can spend hours in there. The staff is usually sweet and knowledgeable. I would however, get rid of certain toxic people that work out of there. They could ruin a good business reputation. Just a heads up.

Cant say that Ive had extensive experience with this business. However, as a painter, my boss trusts only this store, and for years (also years ago) insisted on purchasing only from them. As a customer, I found them to be busy, but when I did get a hold of someone, they were extremely thoughtful, helpful, and experts at their trade. Purchased specialty paint, regular paint, and supplies on multiple occasions. Far more pleasant and less pushy than corporate repair/paint stores. Recommend for newbies and experts alike.

They have a great staff that know a lot about art and art supplies. They helped me to get everything I needed. They are one of the few stores that are carrying the type of paper I like for watercolor. I cant find anything I need at the common craft stores thank goodness Guirys carrys it. Thank You!
