Really happy with my total experience. I had to have my 125 gal. tank moved for home repairs with pretty short notice. Despite the hectic holiday schedule, they were able to work it out and fit my tank movement in within a reasonable time frame. During the two movements and maintenance cycles that were performed the Fish Reef representatives were very unobtrusive and courteous. After the final movement the tank water was pristine and my fish didnt suffer any crazy effects or complications. The only thing that came up was my plants werent to keen on the ultra-filtered new water. When I called to ask about this, the owner was kind enough to explain to me why my plants might react this way and gave me some instructions on what to do. Overall, a really lovely experience worth the extra dollars compared to others Ive had move the tank. (My cat Poppy seems to think they did a great job too!)

This place is just a joy to come to. So peaceful on the inside. Smells fresh. All the fish are just super healthy and vibrant. You can tell they really take care of all the living things in there. Really cool place definitely recommend.

Today was the second time I stopped by The Fish Reef while driving around the city with my friends who have several large salt and fresh water tanks. While I don’t yet have any tanks of my own, the employees were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and kind in answering both my basic questions and my friends’ more complicated questions. My friends are incredibly pleased with their purchase, and would highly recommend The Fish Reef!

This is my absolute favorite aquarium shop in Denver. They are clean, the staff is super friendly and they have a good selection of fresh and saltwater fish. This place is amazing! The staff is incredible. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. They take such good care of the fish and life that live in their stores until finding their forever homes. As newbies starting our own aquarium we naively started at PETCO. After putting my daughter through an extremely traumatizing start to fish ownership, this group of amazing people picked up the pieces and got us back on track. We ultimately had to move and they went above and beyond ensuring our fish were going to be well taken care off. If my words dont say enough I hope my actions do. We live in Arvada and were happy to make the drive to Centennial (through rush hour traffic on I-25) just so we could work with them specifically. So in short, strongly, strongly recommend!

I was looking for some emotional support fish to help me through these troubled times. I had been to 6 different stores and couldn’t find the right one for me. Right as I was about to give up, I walked into the Fish Reef and my life changed. Immediately an employee named Calvin came to greet me and help with what I needed. He was extremely kind and knowledgeable. He walked me through the entire store, showed me all his favorites, asked me questions to assess my fish needs, and knew the answer to any question I had, not to mention how devastatingly handsome he is. Calvin was the best customer service employee I have ever dealt with. 10/10 I’ll be coming back to buy more fish friends from him. I’m never going to forget my day spent with Calvin.

This store is second to none if youre needing high quality supplies and good advice. Megan (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) helped me pick out the right supplies for my little nano reef that I am currently cycling. Their corals, fish, and inverts always look very healthy and their prices beat any other stores in the area. We will definitely use The Fish Reef for our wall tank design and installation someday. Bit of a drive for me but well worth it!

Happy with my fish. However the plants I got from the fridge are wilting and in poor health. I feel as though I should have gotten it for much cheaper (not $16).Update: Josh was kind enough to replace my plants for free! Very satisfied with my experience here. My minnows are still doing great too.

All the coral I have purchased from here is healthy and looks great in my display tank. Great LFS with patient, courteous, and knowledgeable staff. They’ve helped me set up my nano reef and my nano planted aquarium. I had, and continue to have, lots of questions and they were able to help me navigate the “waters” as a rookie aquarist.

This is a nice, recently opened shop that has a very modern, very clean look to it like a showroom! The saltwater area is amazing with very nice laminated signs with pictures and prices! The freahwater side looked to be in work when I visited, but there is a lot of promise there too! I will definitely stop by again to check it out and give updates on the freshwater side of things!

Healthy animals, great selection of fish, corals, inverts, and impeccable customer service... not to mention it is bright and beautiful inside. This is an adorable little shop that astounds me every time Im in. Its just so lovely and gets your inspiration going. They have big pieces of show coral available as well as cheap, little grow me frags and thats not exactly common to find together. What always makes me happy is seeing the stunning planted aquarium. I feel like it goes perfectly alongside reefing since its probably a little bit more complicated to balance so its a nice challenge for people who want to try something new. They always seem to have whatever dry goods I need and I love their fish selection. Everything always looks healthy.

Wow! I can’t say enough about not only the quality of the livestock at The Fish Reef, but also the staff. Amazing place to shop for your aquarium needs, especially if you plan on aquascaping. I came in just wanting to check out the stock but ended up bringing home a few Seiryu stones, Malaysian wood, and a few plants that were in great condition. They were especially well grown and added a great centerpiece to my tank. Ive been to quite a few aquarium stores but this one definitely had the best selection and Im very happy with my completed aquascape.

This is a horrible store. All the salt water fish I have bought all have ick and died on top of killed others in my tank. The guy seems like a car salesman and immediately ask you to go on and give him a good review. I don’t even give him a one star and would not recommend anyone to buy anything from him

My new go to place, they always have a few rare species of freshwater fish that peak my interest, and a Huge selection of saltwater. Ive now acquired new, extremly rare fish, that Ive never seen in other pet stores, three times now! Clean sales floor and friendly/professional staff that will go the extra mile for their customers. This is our family’s LFS, we go in a couple times week and they are super informative and helpful. They keep us from making costly mistakes on our saltwater animals and corals and always setup right and our saltwater experience is great and thriving because of it.

Went to this store today and I just gotta say one of the best fish stores in the area that Ive been to, really friendly staff and everything looks neat and modern, fish look well taken care of as well, went to go buy two clownfish and left with a foxface as well. Over nice little store, healthy looking fish, and nice staff. A little bit pricey tho, but for the quality of the fish, Id say its worth it, 5 out 5.

This was the first time visiting this store and i was amazed. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the store was spotless. Great design and wide selection of both fresh and saltwater fish. I even got the pleasure of meeting the owner who stopped and helped answer questions of mine. I will be making this one of my top fish stores that I visit.

Extremely friendly, well educated, and helpful. They have some spider wood and other drift wood, along with some very interesting rocks. They also had a nice selection of plants to choose from. There were some fish not commonly seen in fish stores such as gars and pufferfish. The man we talked to also said that if there was a fish that we really wanted, he could special order it for us! Another plus was to see the bettas are taken care of humanely- with filtered water. Really happy with the whole experience. Will be going back for more!

Awesome place to visit the atmosphere and the people are all about aquariums and your needs. Josh helped me and was very friendly and answered any questions I had on products and plants. I am impressed with the cleanliness and the selection of both corals and plants and I am a huge fan of tissue culture plants and Josh has them, definitely returning to buy a load of these culture plants in the very near future!

The best fish store in the Denver area imho. The owner is very knowledgeable and willing answer any questions you have. He has the Health of the fish as his top priority And he’s honest about the care requirements. He’s not just trying to make a sale. They also have an amazing assortment of healthy coral frags, anemones, and inverts. His prices can’t be beat on the coral especially. They also have a bunch of quality aquariums to choose from( I know I am gonna buy my next aquarium from there)I went there to check out the store since I had never been there before and to get some rodi h2o and ended up leaving with a bunch coral and fish because I was amazed by his quality selection and low prices.

I would highly recommend this shop. I now have 4 tanks and Josh, Bradley and Jay have been instrumental in getting them perfect. The Fish Reef designed my reef and setup my FOWLR along with my nano Sea Horse tank. As anyone in the hobby knows you have your ups and downs but they have been there every step of the way. I have been a customer since they day they opened and am proud to have them service and maintain my tanks.

Decent shop with lots of variety. Prices arent the best though. Paid double for fish then I would have somewhere else. Corona doesnt leave many options though. Not sure if I will go back or not at this point.

This place is amazing! I went in trying to figure out what I wanted and what would work best for me and the owner, Josh, was so helpful. I bought a beautiful aquarium and exotic fish. I get so many compliments when people come visit and see my new purchase at my home. I’ve contacted Josh a few times to ask some maintenance questions about the aquarium and he has happily answered them all. I was surprised to have a voicemail on my phone the other day from Josh just checking in on my fish. The Fish Reef is a great example that great customer service still exists!
