Lovely park featuring a lively creek, covered bridge, many benches, and tons of open space. Great for a socially distant Covid getaway day.

The park was well maintained and is a pretty scenic spot for photos.Though it was a Saturday, i was surprised how many people were there for photo shoots (a large wedding party, a couple with their dog, two another couples, and a photographer had a Fall scene set up with hay bales and pumpkins ready for a shoot).My family came to walk around and explore, but felt like we were intrusive photo-bombers with all of the photo shoots going on. We paced ourselves to have our turn at walking through the bridge (everyone was very polite and friendly). But frankly it felt way too busy for the quiet country jaunt we were looking forward to. (It didnt help that the wedding party had a big party bus in the parking lot blaring loud thumpa-thumpa music for all the park to enjoy.)

Been going here for over 30+ years. Last couple years they cleaned up the graffiti on the bridge and added benches near the water. Great job.

This is a peaceful, well maintained park with cedar creek running through it and a natural kayak launch.

I love this place! Very beautiful! Sadly I lost my tiny hawk 2 while flying it through the bridge. I think that it landed in the river.

Fun place for pics- not much hiking, but the river is beautiful, with plenty of picnic tables and some grills for public use.As a photographer, it is a nice local option for a covered space for portraits if the weather isnt so great.

This is normally a very idyllic and lovely spot. Photos below show the park when it was badly flooded due to Cedar Creek overflowing due to heavy rains. Photos taken in early October of 2019. Go when the weather is fair and you will enjoy it.

Fairly off the beaten path which makes it a very peaceful location. Dont come here expecting a hike, however. While it is in the forest there are no paths into it and the growth is dense making it difficult to get into. Otherwise, it is a great place to come for picnics or just to sit by the river and read a book.

Clean, scenic Park with a wonderful walk area

This park contains the last covered bridge in Wisconsin. The area surrounding the park is well-maintained. I was very pleased with the layout and access to the river. The foot bridge crossing the river is nice to stand and gaze at wildlife and the river itself. I would greatly recommend visiting this place once.There is a place to launch kayaks, if that’s your thing. We saw 4 people do exactly that. A family landed on the bank and retrieved their kayaks from the river while we were there. Seemed to be very easy to park and walk the kayaks in/out. I’m not sure where the next access point to land canoes would be, but I’m sure a quick search would rectify that.

Our family loves visiting this park with its historic bridge, gentle stream and quiet atmosphere. The caretakers do a great job of maintaining this park.

The bridge is an interesting and valuable piece of history. The park is a nice place to get out in the fresh air and relax.

If you are planning on doing a photo op you may have to get creative with camera angles to keep other groups with the same idea out of your background. Or just work around peak times

Great place for pictures

Covered Bridge Park is a beautiful spot to retreat to and relax. The park has a number of benches and the stream/river flowing by provides a rejuvenating ambience. Good location for family picnics. There is a portable restroom. No drinking water fountains. The park has a box for donations which goes to support its maintenance. The park is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The Covered Bridge is the attraction at the park.

A relaxing place. My children love to come here and catch crayfish.

Very unique bridge preserved for history sake. Entire bridge buildt without nails or bolts. Buildt with wooden pegs and crisscross design!! A must see for engineering students and anyone interested in how it was buildt!!

Its a great big park for on Cedar Creek. Their is lots of places to have a nice family blanket picnic by the creek or big family picnics at the picnic areas. There is also lots of space to go for long walks, take pictures, and just hang out. But the neatest part is walking through the old, last standing bridge.

Wow. Historic covered bridge built with wooden pins holding it together for many years. Nice quiet park too.

Nice for a mosquitoe picnic. You have to watch out for the entitled a holes taking wedding pics and expecting you to pack up and go.
