Newborn City Market was a nice place to browse and have lunch during a quick visit to Cedar Rapids. While not a very large place, they offer a handful of shops with primarily handmade goods. There are also a decent number of restaurants, sweet options and a coffee shop. While there is some indoor seating there is also a good amount of socially distanced outdoor seating. Masks and social distancing are required. Bathrooms are clean, parking is free and the people are pleasant.

It was a nice quick trip because there are not many stores open anymore inside which is sad but understandable. But it was good to support a few local shops.

Big airy space with multiple vendors inside, some very interesting things. LOVE the lotion from Rare Bird Soap Shop! Plenty of grass out front for the kids to run around on and electric scooters available to rent.

Every time we go to Cedar Rapids we stop here. Not only is the building full of fun pop up stores that have handmade/local gifts, clothing, home decor, etc. It also boasts lots of different flavors and variety of foods. Its also just a really cool area to be in. You step outside and there are shops across the street that you can visit along with a grass park that most of the time has a live band playing

Fun stalls. Check out the chai latte in the main area. only downside is several stalls currently empty. Hope to see more great businesses in there soon!

Got time for a good food and a great place find all sorts of things. This market has a little of everything, since its indoors you dont have to deal with the weather. The vendors are nice and friendly. We sampled some of the meat, and the coal fired pizza us a must.

It was pretty cool being and all a former airport. The little shops inside were cute and fun to walk through. It has a range of products from clothing to food/snacks and gifts.

This is one of the best things to happen to Cedar Rapids (and we produced Kurt Warner & the old lady from the Titanic). Even though it seems its tough for vendors to be successful and they change a lot, it is well worth the trip.

Great place for all around goodness. Imagine you want to be at a food court, but have edible food. This is the place. They have multiple drink and meal options, and stores with nifty and pretty decor around. And the meat place they have when you first walk in will keep your belly full the two days theyre closed. You get what you pay for, twice over, coming to newbo

Honestly NewBo used to have more booths and variety as it is sort of like a food mall. Now there are only a few really prominent booths so there are less options. When NewBo first opened it had a much greater selection to choose from but now there are only a few places.

Cool, artsy vibe. Music in the square, wide variety of food choices. Some shopping, but a bit pricey. Had Indian street tacos that were amazing.

The food was exceptional and it was so nice to be able to support so many local businesses in one spot! NewBo City Market hosts many cool events, especially in the summer, that are good for the whole family! With COVID-19 it’s a bit harder to host events, but they sure are trying to make the best of it!

Newbo is such an amazing and unique experience. I suggest everyone stop there at least once, you won’t be disappointed, and will be back!

This a great spot for lunch or to shop... It is this cute village in a building. You can get something for everybody with any craving. With a brew or a coffee and they have cool events in their indoor courtyard.

Quaint place. My first time there; likely impacted by Covid. Ive heard its a pretty popular place on weekends.

My Best friend and I had so much fun the prices great and it was something to experience again and again.

I found many handmade, specialized and unique items.You can get it all under one roof in this indoor booth-style set up.If you have a small business, this is a good outlet to have customers try your product (s).They also have Santa outings during the weekend running all December.

Its small and quaint and as an out of town visitor it was a unique attraction. We enjoyed some excellent coffee and browsed the market shops. We dont get to Iowa often but the next time we do we will be stopping by the market.

I loved this place for all the neat vendors they had in the building. There was something there for everyone. Unique items. I was visiting over the Thanksgiving holiday and my niece shared this spot. Loved the popcorn/ice cream shop across from the building.

We got there early in the am and only experienced the coffee shop. Excellent coffee! There was one guy there methodically mopping the floor with a string mop. Probably a lot more interesting later in the day.

Roaster New Bo Coffee is delicious.

They have a great variety of prepared food and raw ingredients as well as non-food specialty shops. It is always a fun outing to visit the Market.

This place is like an emporium market with choices for food vendors or shopping at a kiosk. There were four of us and everyone wanted a different type of food so NewBo City Market suited us perfectly. The prices were not cheap but we were happy with the food quality. The place is very popular and the part of the city where it is located was nice looking.

Always a fun stop, love when they have events but also a nice place for diverse palates for a lunch date. Almost any kind of food you can imagine you vern get right here. Cute gift shops, in the heart of the neighborhood. You can even go for a stroll and never leave the building.

This is a wonderful melting pot of farmers market fare and food trucks brought together inside one place. Besides fantastic food of all kinds and cultures, youll find several craft goods vendors. Theres also local craft beers & wines here to complete the experience. It gets busy around noon on Saturday, just take that into account if looking to avoid lines.

This was a neat place to visit. It had a wide variety of food options to choose from which for me is always great. Prices seemed a bit high on a lot of things but they all appeared to be of good quality. There is a very neat rock shop offering a variety of stones and figures. Would like to return for the food.

NewBo has become a favorite Saturday morning stop any time of year! The smoothie place is my FAVE!!!

First time this place was awesome. Although its not much of a market in the sense of buying groceries as much as a glorified local food court without the mall. Highly recommend visiting. They have, tacos, gyros, cupcakes, healthy smoothies, coffee, truffles, homemade breads, pizza and more!

Theres lots of different foods to try: baked goods, smoothies, cupcakes, chocolates, crepes, and tacos. Definitely something for everyone.

Great little place. Think of it as having indoor food trucks. A nice variety of menus. There was even a bar. In addition there were a small number of shops with unique items to purchase.

I dont know how I keep forgetting about this place, but some how I do. But everytime I walk in here I end up walking out penniless with some awesome stuff!! You definitely need to go here every once in a while.

Love the variety of different shops, both food and other novelty/craft. Its a surprisingly good spot for a quick bite during the lunch hour. Ive always felt that I get good value for what I eat there.

We enjoyed browsing some stalls and getting some unique food here. Indian, Filipino, Italian, Asian fusion, and American are all represented and looked delicious. Would definitely recommend the rice bowls. A good place for some unique gifts!

Very accommodated and comfortable atmosphere

This is a great local attraction. They have events that are free in addition to paid. The places are local and support each other. They have coffee, food of different varieties - Mexican/salads/shakes/pizza/candy..., meat locker, and clothing... There are a number of shops in walking distance and a nice green space out front.

Decent selection of lunch places. Big Boy meats is great for frozen meat. We bought rabbit, a pork shoulder roast, and sausage.

I have mixed ideas about the NewBo City Market.My wife and I already had lunch so we didnt try any food although most looked very enticing!We had some ice cream. Before buying the cups we sampled a few. I sampled the Cherry and became overwhelmed. I questioned the counter person if their were large chunks of cherries in the ice cream, she assured me there were so I purchased a cup. My wife also purchased a 50/50 cup of Key Lime and Cherry.First of the samples do not give you an adequate amount. I was not pleased with the texture nor the flavor and especially no cherry chunks!The texture was a cross between Ice milk and a sherbet. Not the smooth mouth soothing creamy aaaaaa sensation as you swallow!We both agreed stay away from the ice cream.Further reviews to follow.

If youre looking to support small businesses and find unique foods, drinks, and artisan wares this is the place to go! Throughout the summer they have live bands playing on the weekends on the amphitheater out front -- definitely a place to check out if youre visiting the area.

Nice vendors with a variety of wares, jewery, spices, cards, soaps. Live music setting up on the front patio on a Wed. Food vendors should satisfy any appetite and beer and wine are available for purchase. My Indian street food was delicious!

Just got home from EcoFest at NewBo City Market. A great day to spend learning about the environment. We also enjoyed some of the many food vendors inside the market. Great events and a great place to spend a lunch hour.

This is a nice City market to visit where youll find a lot of small stalls selling different kinds of items.We like going to Melting Bite inside this market, whenever we have cravings for Indian food.Youll also find some trucks outside when they have a special events
