This is one of the most incredible parks weve been to in a long time. The people there are so friendly and informative about the park. There are walking and biking trails. You can fish and yes there are some big fish in this pond. You can watch the wildlife such as ducks, cranes, squirrels, and yes we even saw a snake in the water. Its just a peaceful place with areas where you can be alone and reflect or kick the ball around. There are restrooms and a play area for the kids. Parking is free and lots of it. Waste receptacles are plentiful. Another nice element about this park is the scenery. Great location for engagement photos, senior photos, scout photos, or just photos of nature if that is your thing. Worth the drive and located next to food and shopping.

I love that there is five different covered spots with many benches and tables. They do have a big splash park which is Is fun for both kids and adults (I know because I’m a child at heart). I do have to say ALL enjoyed playing in the water in the splash park. We threw a huge sixth birthday party there. All kids loved that we were undercover in the seating area for the party since it started raining. The trails are amazing and pretty but we all took a long, long way too long of a walk because the trial lead to the pool which was not at all near the parks parking lot we where at. there is pond/lake & water from the bridge view but we didn’t go near them.

Best park and so excited it is open during COVID. They are quite literally saving people from the madness. There are boat/ kayak rentals on the far end (also open) near the dam side. There are shaded portions intermittently throughout the walking paths. There are also several different parks that are all linked together along this pathway that you can park at so that you can determine how far and where you want to be on the path. You dont just have to park at the Brushy Creek main area. If you follow the road around after the Brushy Creek exit you will find the parking spaces of the other sites including one other playground with a little rock climbing area for the kids. The water fountains are not functional durinfg the pandemic, so be sure to bring your water. We all know it gets excessively hot and even at high fitness levels we underestimate our need for water. There are not many bathroom stops theres one at the main park and there is one a little bit further along next to the other kids play area. I would go before you start and not wait till I come to another restroom. Just sayin.

I really enjoy this park! Its extremely spacious, and there are so many different things to do. Theyve got playgrounds, picnic tables, a splash pad, kayak rentals, soccer fields, off road bike trails, and more! The trail is very long, I think almost 7 miles, from start to finish. Great for walking, running, or biking. We always take our dog here, and he loves it. Plenty of places for him to get in the water if he needs to cool off. The park gets super busy on the weekends, but its a great place for the whole family! If youre able to go during the week, its a little more quiet.

We absolutely love this place!!! Its beautiful for walking. You can play Pokemon Go here. There is a plash pad we will bring our son too sometime. And the highlight: You can go kayaking and really have a great time seeing wildlife along the waters edge, or in the water too for the turtles and cranes. It was just amazing watching a King Fisher fish! It was my first time kayaking and I will definitely be back there sometime soon!

Lovely lovely park. A must go in Austin. Great for so many activities, especially the spring season. The bluebonnets are absolutely gorgeous. Do not miss out on a family photoshoot with the Texas wildflowers. The river water is serene to look at. People were fishing, barbecuing, kayaking, flying kites, or simply enjoying the views. There are trails too, so you can bike or simply go for a run. The greenery is stunning. It’s definitely a fun place to be. Go there for a beautiful walk and rejuvenated yourself of the stress.

I really love this Park so much. It is huge. Has pavilions, a playground, a splash pad. Kayaking Center that we loved so much! We went there on our first child free date. We saw Wildlife while kayaking and had such a great time. We will definitely be back to kayak, and we have used the trails plenty in the past and will continue to when in the area. I come to Brushy Creek 90% of the time to fish. It’s a great place to go because of how many ares there are to fish. It’s a very large park with lots of walking and biking trails. There are blackberry bushes everywhere free for picking and eating. There’s a kayak rental booth also. It’s a great place to take your kayak. The only reason I put 4 stars is the moss and duck feces problem. There’s a large amount of moss which makes it difficult to fish in a lot of places. The amount of duck feces gets completely out of hand sometimes. Other than that this is a great park to visit. Very beautiful and well kept!

The park is nice. The water is nasty and filled with too much trash. There is too much trash that has flowed/fallen in from the surrounding neighborhoods, Parmer Lane, and left by bank fishermen and/or kayak and paddle board renters. Was told by someone in a nearby neighborhood that the water has had issues with flesh eating bacteria at times. Judging by the water quality, Im not surprised. If possible, go elsewhere.
