I am truly impressed with Coach Jasper and Freestyle Sports! My expectations have been met and continue to be exceeded. My son is difficult to motivate and encourage and Coach Jasper has been able to break through to him. Coach Jasper has gone above and beyond to tailor workouts that are not only helping build my son’s basketball skills but his overall confidence. Coach Jasper has an incredible basketball IQ and can transfer that in a way that my son can understand, making it fun, encouraging and challenging! We are so thankful we discovered such a wonderful coach!

My teenage daughter came late to the sport of basketball (she was an elite soccer player regionally through middle school until the soccer machine ground her up). Physically talented, but short on court experience, and lagging in fundamentals, I went looking for a private coach to see if we could get her on par with her peers, even though she had made the high school JV team as a freshman. How many legitimate female basketball coaches (emphasis on legitimate) do you think you can find who know the womens game, can explain it, and are motivating, gracious and fun as well in this region? Yeah, very few, maybe just one. I did my homework, and my daughter has been working with Ayla 1:1 for half a year now. Her progress has been dramatic. She eventually joined the Freestyle league team to get more on-the-court time, and has enjoyed this team more than any other sports team shes ever been a part of. (She is not short on experience, having played two sports, with dozens of coaches.) Ayla, and Jasper, and the Freestyle enterprise demonstrate a maturity, and a healthy perspective, that is unusual in kids sports. They recognize the balance between skill development, fun, and the value of teamwork. My daughter now starts as point guard for her high school team and we look forward to her trajectory in the sport.

The Freestyle Sports facility is excellent. Coach Jasper & Ayla provide personal lessons tailored for your goals and skill level. A challenge is always given and good times are always had! No matter your age, if you love basketball, Freestyle Sports is the place to learn the game and improve.

Unbelievably fun series. A really good decision to take a break from regular team basketball and learn the skills it takes to play the game. Team basketball seemed to be short on skill development and, frankly, we lost a lot of games which definitely no fun. Freestyle built both his confidence and his understanding of the sport. Well done coach Jasper!

My 5 year old son goes to Freestyle Sports for Basketball. We started with some private lessons and then move on to continue with the group classes. Coach Jasper and Coach Bonnie are great with kids, my son is enjoying the sessions. Highly recommended.

We have experienced few basketball trainers and leagues in the Austin area and the best experience was (by far) with freestylesports. Working with coach Jasper, my Sons basketball skills were improved in a short time, and he gained not only skills but lots of confidence and great approach to the game. They work hard during practice and still manage to have lots of fun.

Love Freestyle because of excellent coaching- my daughter’s skills have improved enormously. More importantly, I love FS bc of the values, hearts, and attitudes of the coaches. My daughter gets great BB skills and great life skills. *** Highly recommend privates which can be done with a smart phone and any open hoop (eg on your driveway). You can talk to the Coach through the phone or over AirPods; a parent can hold the phone up so Coach can see Player, then talk to the player over Airpods and walk her through the steps; or set up camera with Tripod! Have seen big improvements in my daughter’s play, even though we are social distancing, from doing lessons this way!! Can’t recommend enough!

Fabulous facility! Our 4th ad 6th grader have flourished under the tutelage of Coach Bonnie and Coach Jasper. Both coaches energy for the game is unmistakable and they pair a genuine passion for basketball with positivity and structure that guarantees success for kids vested in improving.

Jasper is super knowledgeable and great to work with. He has increased my basketball IQ and my confidence in my game significantly since Ive started working with him.

My daughter has been taking Freestyle group lessons at WAYA with Coach Jasper and his assistant coach Bonnie for just over a month now. They are so great with the kids and I love their teaching methods. She has improved so much in just the short time weve been there. Its a great program with wonderful coaches!

Ive been trying to explain certain fundamentals to my son with little success. In just one evening with Coach Jasper, my son learned a better way to perform very specific skills. Just one session was power packed with learning to improve my sons performance on the court.

We have been fortunate to work with Coach Ayla for our son (less than 4 years old). It’s been great to watch her work on the fundamentals with our son. She is patient and keeps the classes fun. We learn a ton in every class.

Coach Jasper and Coach Ayla are both great to work with. Our son has the love of basketball but was behind on skills for his age. This caused him to be frustrated and lack confidence. I saw immediate improvement in his self confidence and skills after just one training session. We are a couple months into our coaching session with Freestyle Sports and our son has improved a great deal and his love of the sport has continued to grow. He looks forward to his training sessions with Coach Jasper and Coach Ayla. They make it fun even though its hard work. I highly recommend them! We could not be happier to have found them.

We love Freestyle Sports. Coach Jasper does a great job of explaining basketball to the kids so that the basketball principles stick. The drills he uses are high-yield. He also explains on their level, has a great sense of humor, keeps everyone on track, and uses time wisely. Highly recommend.

The coaches at Freestyle Sports are hard working, fun and very professional. My son did a Freestyle Sports basketball camp and had a great time. Even though he was at camp all day, he did not want to leave! Freestyle Sports has an excellent ratio of coaches to players, especially when compared to other basketball camps in Austin. They emphasize healthy eating so players will have enough energy during the game and positive values. They also share insightful tips that encourage teamwork. My son just finished with a Mon-Thurs camp and he is coming back on Saturday to do a clinic. :) Freestyle Sports is a new Austin business and we would give them more than 5 stars if we could! Very happy customer!

Thank you coach Ayla and Jasper for all you do with the kids. My nine year old son has taken both the group class and a few 1-1 sessions. I really cant say enough about how good the instruction is. They make it very fun for the child, and teach a ton of fundamentals on correct ball position, how/when to dribble, dribbling with purpose, head up, correct form for shooting, and much more.

Coach Ayla and Jasper are incredible! Our son loves both the personal sessions as well as the group basketball clinics. Our sons technical skills have improved every week, as well as his general basketball knowledge. It has been an unbelievable journey. We highly recommend Freestyle Sports.

Ayla and Jasper are terrific! They are professional, patient, enthusiastic, encouraging, and make learning fun! They dont just teach what to do and how to do it, but they also explain why it should be done. Our son had limited basketball experience. His skills have improved so much! And more importantly, his confidence level has skyrocketed! It is evident that they really care about what they are doing. We cannot say enough about them. They are the best at what they do!

This was my daughters favorite summer camp! She loved working with coaches Ayla and Jasper and learned quite a bit about basketball in only 3 days. It was well organized, exciting, and they even brought in lunch! Couldnt recommend it higher.

Coach Ayla and Jasper do a fantastic job with the kids. My son is typically not interested in sports, and he really enjoys his time learning from these great coaches. The opportunity to learn from accomplished professional athletes should not be missed!

Finally, a program that emphasizes having fun, but just as equally takes learning the fundamentals of basketball seriously. Coach Ayla & Coach Jasper are great with the kids, but its their experience to help set a solid foundation and also build on more advanced skills that sets their program apart. Ive seen great improvement in my daughters knowledge and skill and I can say thats thanks to these coaches.

My son LOVED his first day at camp. When I asked him what he loved most about it, he said everything. Coach Ayla and Jasper work so well with the kids and bring joy and laughter to the teaching which makes the learning a whole lot easier. I would highly recommend this skills camp to anyone.

Coach Ayla and Jasper are awesome. My 8 year old daughter loved 1:1 sessions with them. She looks forward to every Monday for getting coached by them. They are very punctual, never late. As much as basketball skills, they also focus on mental toughness.

They teach an intense focus on the fundamentals of basketball and have a special gift for connecting with kids and young adults. This is a welcome departure from the current state of youth basketball that focuses on only winning. Your child will improve by working with Ayla and Jasper. If your kid didnt win the genetic lottery but has hopes of playing high school basketball, working with Freestyle Sports is your best bet in the area.

What a terrific program! Coach Ayla & Coach Jasper have created a wonderful and super fun environment for my boy to learn and grow on the court. My son had a great experience with Freestyle this week at camp--hes already asking for private coaching sessions with them later this summer.

My son, Jacob, has been in sports of some kind since he was 4 and he has never had a better set of coaches. He has had one group session and 2 private sessions with Jasper and Ayla and he LOVES IT! He has learned so much in such a short time, it is amazing! He has so much fun and gets a great work out. Jaspers teaching/coaching style is perfect for kids. He is patient, calm, kind and funny. He interacts with the kids on their level and teaches them starting with the very basics so that they understand why they are doing each move and how to do it efficiently. Jasper is always willing to stay late to talk with Jacob and me and answer any questions we may have. Ayla and Jasper are great role models and I have loved watching them work with my son. I cant wait until our next session!

My two 9 year old daughters attended a summer basketball camp with Ayla and Jasper and worked/played hard and loved every minute of it. (they told me this themselves). They are a bit shy but Ayla and Jasper mad them feel comfortable. The girls said they learned a lot and they want to do this camp again. During the camp they got so much exercise that they were really tired when they got home. But they told me they didnt mind because it was so much fun. Ayla and Jasper are both professional players who know their stuff.two years alter update:The girls still love camp and classes with Ayla and Jasper. Have learned great skills and have fun too. Jasper and Ayle inspire good work yet keep kids feeling good about themselves. Highly recommend.
