Nice playgrounds, one for older and another for younger kids. Pool is closed this year. Soccer and baseball fields plus bocce space. Picnic tables encourage gathering but morr garbage receptacles needed

I love this park. Highlights: outdoor exercise equipment, no bikes, quiet, lots to do, clean bathrooms. I wish there was more seating in the shade - They have picnic tables and spots on the grass under trees but all the benches are in the sun.

Beautiful and spacious. They have outdoor equipment for weight lifting and many benches for those that just want to be outside. Lots of room for socially distant walking and running/jogging.

Loved how spacious and clean the facilities were especially the restroom. Only downfall, they shut the restroom at 630 and we stayed there until 9pm.

Clean and inviting playground. Love that the gates remain close when kids are inside. Climbing apparatus is sturdy and clean.

Very nice setting for a peaceful afternoon, or it will be once the construction next door is finally done.

Great little fenced in park for young kids. There is enough here to keep them entertained, but also small enough to not lose sight of them. Everything is in good shape and everyone I have met there has been nice.

Wonderful park! Large areas for walking, waking dogs, etc. But the best is this kids park. Best for anyone with children 10 and under. Amazing kids playground!

Great new park, on the land that used to be the TB hospital and Psychiatric Hospital. But call me when the mandatory facemask and social distancing go away. Gonna be a no go for me til then.

Such a great park! I grew up in cedar grove, this area used to be a psych ward, pretty cool/creepy history. But they really did a great job with this park, I’m barely running into many people at all, it’s spacious! Love seeing all the furbabies also

Awful park created as a selling point for the condos going up across the street. Verona Park just down the road is relaxing and a crown jewel for the community. Cedar Grove Park is a bunch of bulldozed trees with some pavement. The worst of the Essex County parks.

Nice facility but could use more equipment

Nice new park in Cedar Grove. Lots for the kids to do from swings, to climbing, to interactive pieces of the barn. Nice shaded area for parents and ample benches.

Excellent themed playground for the kids. Everything is new, modern and designed appropriately for young ones and seniors.

Its a very nice park but a few times Ive been there the bathrooms have been locked which is not convenient. The playground is fully enclosed which is nice and there is lots of space. I am not looking forward to 500 townhouses being planted right next to this park.

Good for kids 5 years and younger.

The circle nearby isn’t an exciting place to walk, very barren and nothing to see. Has a few exercise stations. Overlooks the remains of the Overbrook Insane Asylum. There is a small park for children which has a nice mushroom that spins around and is fun for any age.

Great park I love taking my dog for a walk. It’s dog friendly he enjoys it and I do also. There’s a section in the park where’s a hill and it’s a great workout you will feel the results.

Its just o.k. Great for 7yrs and under. But when you have 5yr 7yr and a 12yr old its a little hard to keep older ones interested.

Great for dog walking,but runoff from the hilltop can make paths very icy in freezing weather

My 3 year old enjoyed the new playground. It is a little small but not many people there when we went. Looks like there are hiking and bike trails which I want to come check out sometime.

Fairly new Essex County run park. This park was formerly the site of part of the old Overbrook/Essex County Hospital Center. There are paved paths for walking/running along with some exercise equipment and a nice Gazebo. My only complaint would be that, not enough consideration was taken for storm water drainage/runoff. The park sits at the bottom of a large wooded hillside. After any significant rain or snow melting there can be large amounts of water that pool up and/or cross over the paths. In winter months this runoff freezes on the paths making them virtually unusable for would be park goers. All in all it is a nice park and a great addition for the Township residents and others who utilize it.
