Great place to enjoy nature and get some excersize at the time. Not too rough of a hike but still good for the heart and legs.
Great starting point for the East Bay Skyline Trail. Highly recommend starting at this southern point and walking north to Richmond. Its a great hike that any avid Bay area hiker should try at least once. It will take all day so plan accordingly and train before attempting. Its over 30 miles start to finish and every mile of it is terrific.
Dont go here, youll be dissatisfied completely. Stay far from here, trust me, it sucks!
Very good trail around.
Great parking lot for access to the Chabot trails, also a starting point for the Bay Area Ridge Trail.
Variety of intensity of partially shaded hills.
A small parking lot, but you can walk up to 10 hills
A good staging area for a mountain bike adventure around chabot. A moderate number of parking spaces with a reasonably nice outhouse.
Nice staging area to start a good hike
The beautiful 10 Hills Trail starts (or ends) here and runs out to Lake Chabot. It makes its way through a cool and shady Live Oak and Bay tree forest, so nice to walk on warmer days. This has a nice combination of ups and downs and I would rate it at medium to easy as far as difficulty. If you go along Redwood Road and into the golf course, you can catch Brandon trail which runs up to the Chabot campground and the several trails that run along the back side of the lake. Brandon trail is a steady 1.5 mile medium difficulty walk to the top.
Nice hike
