So its a park. But oh my, this is a different park, but its a park.So, its a free park that had a easy and simple trail/path/hike that anyone can do it. Even a sedentary person like me lolBut come with some good shoes it can be muddy or super dry rocky sand. You can get really close to the rock at the top. There is a loop around the rock with benches/sits.HOWEVER if you want to climb to the top of the rock you need to be careful, its possible but not for everyone or either is easy. You need to know what you are doing and there is no help or security to help you in case of emergency.Just the view from the loop area is amazing. Its worth going!

Fun day hike... even in the snow! Paths are well marked and easy to follow.

Great place for a fast hike. Took my 4 year old and I about 45 minutes to get to the top and we took a LOT of breaks along the way.Great views of the town from the top.There werent any bathrooms at the park. Not even near the parking lot. Just a heads up!

Excellent short loop hike! Its possible to access the top from the east face, but this requires a rock scramble. I would recommend the marked trails for any age and ability, though it is not ADA accessible. I personally would only recommend the rock scramble at the top for those with steady footing and agility (not children).

Really cool experience for anyone who is out of the area. The climb is short - probably 20 ish minutes. Great way to oversee the area of Castle Rock and get a little hike in. I highly recommend as a nice tourist attraction.One thing is that the parking is strange. You park in a little half-circle. Makes you think you shouldn’t park there but it is the designated parking area.

Great short hike up to a landmark in the area. The trail is well maintained. There are various areas with built-in steps. Bikes aren’t allowed. The views at the top are amazing! Definitely worth the short jaunt up!

Good hike about a mile, great views of the mountains. In a developed area not a wilderness hike

Pretty accessible. If youre not use to the thin air,you might want to take a couple breaks on the way up. Water is always a good idea as well. Trails are clearly marked. Castle Rock itself is beautiful. Lots of cool photo opportunities. Nicer view of the Rockies in the back drop.

Great little hiking trail. Great views. Dog friendly. Love taking this hike.

Pretty good. Short and easy 30 min hike up. Wear good threaded shoes if going during winter. Many people were slipping with their soless shoes. Cant climb all the way up (on top of the rocks) easily (at your own risk). Make sure to take the same trail you took upas down so you end up in the same place you started because otherwise youll have to walk the perimeter of the park to get back to your car, like I did .

This hike was very fun and the view from the top is gorgeous. Its short but its still a little bit challenging. Just a little. :)

Great short hike in monument. Very good view in all directions. Get to base of Castle Rock and have a picnic on some tables. Great variety.

I take everyone that visits me in Castle Rock here! Awesome place to see over the whole town! Even a little rock climbing if your feeling reckless, but BE CAREFUL! Nice an short trail, shouldnt take more than about an hour to get up and down for the average person.

Great overlook over the city, and the view from the top is even better, even though the sign hints at not climbing up.
