The team itself has good sportsmanship, the parents are a whole other issue. We were sitting a few feet on their side of the half line and some crazy lady decided shed stand right in front of us, while her husband yelled at us from behind. We did move so as not to cause any issues because obviously some people cant handle sitting next to an opponent. I do think the club is teaching good values. Unfortunately the parents of the girls dont have them so the club suffers for the actions of the parents.

All three of my kids have played soccer for Colorado Storm Castle Rock, and my younger son has participated in the competitive program since U11. I have been so impressed with the training opportunities that he has been able to participate in through the club, even beyond the high quality competitive curriculum - including clinics during summer and winter break, recreational futsal, shooting camps, and early morning training (5:45am!) for elite players who are looking to start their day with a fantastic workout and more touches on the ball. I have watched my competitive player grow not only on the field, but also in leadership skills and in working with others as a team under the guidance of some truly wonderful coaches.

We have been a part of the Storm organization for the last 4 years and have been very happy with our experience. My boys have played in the recreational leagues, pre-competitive league and have gone to countless camps. The coaches and leadership team have been great to work with and my boys love being a part of this club.

6 years ago we moved to Colorado and didnt know anything about the soccer clubs. We first played with another prominent local club, and the experience was not great. We switch to Colorado Storm Castle Rock and I am so glad we did. I have 4 kids (ages ranging from 5-14 years old) that are apart of the Castle Rock Storm club and it has been a wonderful experience. I appreciate the smaller club because I dont feel my kid just gets lost in the masses, yet its large enough to be able to compete in the state, and retain quality coaches throughout the club. My kids have a passion for the game of soccer and I have seen so much development of them as a player. I am so proud to be apart of the Colorado Storm Castle Rock club.

My daughter’s club soccer career began when she was five years old and came to an end a couple of months ago. For Megan (and me), this was an amazing journey and something she (we) won’t ever forget.Randy Freeman is the Director of the Storm soccer club in Castle Rock. Randy’s philosophy is to continually rotate coaches every couple of years to ensure the kids grow as soccer players and become exposed to different styles, teachings, and coaching methods. While change can be difficult, every new coach brought something different to the table.Megan not only grew over the years as a soccer player, but she also grew as a person. She benefitted by playing for some amazing coaches with high expectations for her on and off the soccer field. While it’s tough to close the book on this chapter of her life, she is excited to continue her playing career in college. This never would have happened had it not been for Randy Freeman, Trey Harrington, Derek DeBenedictus and the many other coaches who went above and beyond for the players in Castle Rock.We will miss Castle Rock Storm.

Storm Castle Rock offers top notch coaches to teach the game of soccer. My 2 boys both play on competitive teams for Storm and they have learned so much from their very talented coaches. Not only have they learned to love the game of soccer, but they have also learned life lessons to help them be successful people as they grow older.
