In my 7 years of skating at this park it’s always been great fun. That being said there are no flat ground sections or street skating areas but still plenty of things to keep you entertained. There are areas for beginners and areas for experienced. From a 2 foot drop in which is great to learn on, to a 6 foot drop in which is fun even if you’re experienced.

The park overall is a great park. It is clean and well kept by the city. It is a great park for all skill levels. The only reason I didnt give it a 5 star rating is because there is a group of teenagers/young adults that frequent the park and bully the younger children, smoke weed, yell things that would make a sailor blush and throw their trash all over the place. It doesnt matter how many adults are there watching or even if you call the local authority they continue to come back and cause a problem. However, when they arent there, the park is pretty awesome.

Its nice that a skate park like this is here, but whoever designed it obviously dosent skate. All of the inclines have no transition at the bottom of the incline. Its like going down a 45 degree hill then without a transition straight to a flat surface at the bottom, (its not good). However, the transitions on the half pipes and quarter pipes look fine.

Can get busy after school and weekends. The older kids do try to watch out for younger kids, but with the speeds they get to sometimes it is hard to predict and avoid. Have not seen any major incidents. I would definitely not drop my 11 yr old off without supervision.

This park is a great place to learn to skate. There are 2 inch ramps; even one with coping. They even have a bowl and some open areas. all in all, this is a great place to learn to skate and a very nice place for pros.

The park itself is amazing. The nine stair has smaller sized blocks to help ease you into big sets, the vert and coping are better than most places and the transitions and rails are flawless. The overall build is amazing... Now here is why I only gave this 5 star park 3 stars. All the local douches congregate here, regularly. Its not uncommon to see 20 people trying to impress 2 ramp tramps who came for the attention. Parents bring birthday party sized group of kids DAILY without reiterating ANY rules of safety. Im currently healing from a gash over the bone of my ankle from some 11 yr old kids bike pedal because he didnt look before he pedalled his bike into the middle of the park to be hit by my 165 lb body traveling probably 25/30 Mph down the tall bank. If you are a parent bringing your kid to this park, you need to do more than strap a helmet on him and expect the local skaters to baby sit then for you. There is a little park for beginners. That and the empty pool are where your child should be until they have ATLEAST 65-75% control of the skateboard/scooter and ESPECIALLY, bikes. I am a local, I pick up the disgusting amounts of trash that the others carelessly leave and I am friendly with everyone there. There is nothing cooler than having a little kid come up to me and ask ME for advice and all their admiration but dont act surprise if the skater with a crack in his skull, and 15+ broken bones gets a little pissed off after the 10th time he has to jump over your child and his bike. This is a skate park, not a padded climbing gym or gymnastics center foam pit. We get hurt daily and your oblivious and undereducated children increase that, ten fold. The problem with children here is more than chronic. All times of day, every day, I am babysitting at least 2 kids. After last night talking to two incredibly helpful officers who occasionally check on the park after school hours, they helped me realize that the more honey with bees than vinegar stuff applies with folks at the skate park as well so I will likely try to bring it up to the parents, respectfully, first. Unfortunately, this has a success rate of about 20% so if after respectfully laying out what took me years to learn and involved being spit on, to the 50+ kids I see in any given average week, I will leave you a bill for the lessons and the dog sitting.. seriously people. You can go up to most skaters who are just casually skating ( you can tell because theyre not hitting the ground really hard or swearing loudly or skating with a purpose) and they will be more than happy to teach the rules and all of us are stoked to help with learn a new trick.. just dont come to a place thats claimed so much our blood and expect us to just let you start deciding the rules. We take turns.. if you want to go, look, if no one else is going, or looks like theyre waiting their turn, you can go. Its no different than crossing a road except, skateboards dont have brakes.. enjoy the park, enjoy the sport, be a part of one of the most supportive sports communities around.. just learn the rules so the community excepts you. Once we recognize your face, youre part of the family. Just dont be a hazard, please. For you, for me, for everyone. They call them extreme sports for a reason.
