This is a wonderful place to play. The greens have a lot of character and can be challenging. The par 3s are some of the coolest and most Interesting Ive played. But the coolest spot is the tee box on piers. If youre playing the tips be prepared to walk and stop to breath. This place is on my list of places to play again and again

I played here for the first time last week with a gal pal and came away with a few observations to share with other women golfers:--The service was outstanding. We somehow ended up in an old cart that couldnt handle even the tiniest hill. And, a twosome got to the first tee just behind us and hit into us (by accident, we thought) on the blind dogleg-right first hole and then again (clearly on purpose) on the third hole, where we called the pro shop about both the cart and the rudeness. Someone came right out and handled everything -- we had a nice cart with GPS,, and the guys behind us never hit into us again and were also very polite at the turn. Kudos to Plum Creek management!--The course is typical Pete Dye, really hard for the guys. But Alice Dyes forward tees are kind of fun and give women chances to get to greens in regulation.--Once on or even around the greens, OMG. Theyre crazy. I think thats kind of fun too.--The conditions are a little raggedy but, Ive been told, much improved over five years ago. This could be a very nice high-dollar course, but... We played on a weekday afternoon for $49, which seemed about right.--Dont even think of walking the course, which winds through housing communities. The first tee is about half a mile from the clubhouse.--Theres a gorgeous clubhouse, but its not part of the course. You check in at a little trailer. However, you can visit the gorgeous clubhouse after your round and enjoy a lovely grill with delicious food and a nice selection of beers. Highly recommended 19th hole!

This is a great course. The first time you play it is tough, unless you are with someone thats played before. Its not easy anyway because its a narrow course for the most part and more of a target course as well. If you hit long and straight and have played it enough to know the course, you will have a great time. The new owners are 1000 times better than before. They didnt even have a beverage and food cart, along with other amenities that they have now.

I would not recommend that folks go play this course. The pace of play was incredibly slow. Something I would expect at a local muni but not for what they are charging to play here. The ranger told us twice he was going to get things moving, but it never happened. The range is in terrible condition with equally terrible balls. The course itself was also in rough shape. It appeared like everything needed water badly. I’m used to the greens being their saving grace here, but not today. It was like putting on a mine field. I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere. We were looking for a good a good course between Denver and Monument, but we’re sorely disappointed today.

Experienced golfers dont play it. Its a beginner golfers course. Green fees should be about $25. Played today and it took 5 hours, 10 minutes. No marshals to enforce the speed of play, we had hackers in front of us playing from the tips. No enforcement. Course is in terrible condition for July. Its one of those courses that just want your money, they could care less about the golfing experience. Poor, poor management. Wont be back! Experienced golfers be aware! There are too many other great choices in the same area!

I have played Plum Creek a few times, and while it isnt perfect, the customer service I received when I played a few weeks ago was top notch. I lost my phone on the 3rd hole, and the marshal spent a lot of time talking with other groups behind us and looking himself. I was very grateful at the turn when he said, It is your lucky day and handed me the phone. My phone fell out of my cart into tall grasses so Im shocked anyone found it. Regarding the course, they are doing some repairs and adding sprinklers, so the fairways on certain holes are not their best. The course layout is always fun, especially the par 3 on the back where you hit the ball into the gully. I will happily be back. It is also nice to see they are renovating the clubhouse which was becoming very dated.

Course is chopped up, looks like they have a ground crew of 2. Driving range was pretty much dirt, not a patch of grass to hit from. Wouldnt even pay $40 to play this course. No one enforcing pace of play, took 5hrs and 15 mins to play 18, had 3 groups waiting on a par 3 at one point. Unreal. This course is one straw from falling into the ground; whatever is left of it.

Over priced for the conditions. It’s obvious they are in the process of renovating the course. Overall, course is in poor condition and there’s better courses to play for the same price in the area. The maintenance staff was also working/watering as I was playing. A few of my approach shots looked like the picture. Not worth the money or time, would wait a year or so for them to finish renovations.

Wish I would have checked the reviews before playing this course. It is in horrible condition. The superintendent should be embarrassed of the condition his course is in. I would not play this course again if they gave me a free round. $86.00 for a round of golf here is ridiculous!! They have truly ruined a course that could be one of the top courses in the state. This was an amazing course.. whos prime has probably past. A Pete Dye design, the layout, turf and hazards are all what you would expect to see at a premium course. However, the club house is currently a double wide with limited food and beverages. The paths, and waste areas are just that, waste. That said, with a little money and attention this course could shine like it did in the 80s.

Sorry guys, we waited till after 3pm to score the 50 buck rate and how happy I am that we didnt pay any more. $50 should be their starting rate, thats all I think this course is worth. Its no different to a multitude of similar tracks built up around houses but when you read the promo material, you are led to believe it will be better. It may just have been as a result of the holiday that the footfall was large today. Does no one ever repair their pitchmarks any more? The greens were pockmarked with them as were the divots removed from the fairways with no attempts made to replace them. To make matters worse, there were more than a few players holding up the course due to poor levels of skill and the fact that one of the group behind us nearly wiped me out walking of a par 3 did nothing to endear me to the place. Nope, I wont be returning. Too far to travel for mediocrity.

Great facility. Has vastly improved since being bought out by Bear Dance several years ago. The entire staff treats golfers with respect, the cart staff is always friendly and willing to wash your clubs after your round. The practice facility is also great. With chipping areas, putting areas and a full range. Food and drinks at this place are also great. The burgers are something else. I have grown up playing plum creek golf course, years ago it was a much better course than it is now... The prior owners must have been struggling with business because they really let the place go, the paths for the carts are destroyed, the fairways and greens have been neglected. The owners of Bear Dance (a fantastic, and really expensive course in larkspur) bought this course and I am optimistic they will bring it back to quality. Prior to the Bear Dance folks buying it the old owners were trying to sell the land to developers, which as you could imagine was not received well by the people who paid top dollar to have their house on the course. I think that is one big reason they just seemed to give up.

Lets be honest, if you cant water the course at this point in the season w/o mother nature, then disclose it. Golfers expect the fairways to maintained, and after playing yesterday (9/13/15), it was obvious only the greens are being watered. As the owners, you have a responsibility to folks spending $70 to chose your course among a dozen others w/in 1/2 hr drive time.Dont charge the full monty and expect a glowing review. Customer service at this course is terrible! I purchased a couple of vouchers for my father through idealgolfer to play the course at a discounted rate. They expired July 31. Unfortunately, my father had to have an emergency eye surgery early in July and we were unable to use to voucher before the expiration date. I asked to speak with the head pro about extending the offer. Bo (the head pro) did not even entertain the idea of helping us out he just repeatedly said no and that there was nothing he could do since it was through a 3rd party company that we purchased the tickets through. I owned a business previously which utilized idealgolfer and know for a fact these vouchers can be extended at the business’ discretion, which I did on numerous occasions for people with extenuating circumstances because it’s good business and, more importantly, the morally right thing to do. Plum Creek should really take a harder look at who they are employing and who they put into positions of power and represent their company.
