The skate shop is great! I bought my first pair of skates here! (SG Rock GT50) sellers are knowledgeable about skates and they have a lot of products. The rink is great also but there’s too many times you have to exit the skate floor for games and things which cause much less skate time, which knocks a solid 45 minutes off your skate time here. but it has good room and isn’t too busy.

We usually visit Semoran Skateway when its a school skate night and its always been a pleasant experience. The kids love it and cant get enough of the place. Recently, we visited, and a friend slipped and hurt her wrist but the staff were really kind to help us and offer to have the manager see to the situation as well. I found that thoughtful. When you call them, they are ever so courteous and kind.

Beware! The owner of this rink is physically abusive towards children! Watch your kids at all times and keep them away from Carlos if you decide to skate here. I used to love this place as a kid, but after hearing about how a young man was disrespected and physically assaulted by Carlos, the owner, because he was wearing a hat, I will never return to this rink and will encourage everyone in my very large circle of family and friends to never give them their business. The man was addressed and treated like a child even though he is 20 years old. There are other rinks in town that respect and appreciate all customers - regardless of age. If Carlos ever put his hands on me or my child the way he did that young man, hed be in jail for assault. Hes a criminal with serious psychological issues.

My husband and I went here on a Saturday night for a date after dinner. The employees were very nice, happy and willing to help. The rental skates were of good quality and the bathrooms were clean. There were people of all ages enjoying themselves. This looks like a good spot for my kids birthday party. I would recommend this spot to anyone!

This review is specifically about the skate shop. The staff that took care of me were incredibly sweet and professional. They are knowledgeable about their products and provided me with all I needed to get going as a new skater. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of.If youre looking for skates do not hesitate to visit this shop. Awesome people, and Im so grateful I found them.

This is definitely my favorite place to be when Im not busy. The rental skates are pretty darn decent! It tends to get very crowded on weekends though and no one wears a mask while on the rink. I know its really annoying, but please try to wear a mask as much as you can! I unfortunately caught the Carona virus back in July after thinking skating without would be safe. Its really not worth it.

My husband and I have been coming here for over a year. Everyone is polite the music is great and we highly recommend this wonderful skating rink.

Came for a party. They followed Covid restrictions well and it was a ton of fun. Its the skating rink as you always remember it to be.

Id give a 5 out of 5 for overall service, great skating school program where my little one is learning to sjate and learning to teach, they are also following with current CDC regulations. My only concern is though I am a paying customer, everytime I come in early morning rushing to make a 9am Saturday class or after work with tea/healthy food (which you do not serve) im forced to through it out. Should be fair and flexible if you offered tea and vegan healthy options for food items, Id gladly spend money there too.

I came in to buy outdoor wheels it wasn’t yet time for them to open but I was only buying wheels they let me in to but wheels.let me say very nice crew christy and Sean I was greeted by Sean was a pleasure so polite and made sure I got the right wheels was who I spoke to on the phone Tony made Suurrreee those skate where right he had his tools and all I really felt special in this place and I didn’t skate or do anything else I simply dealt with those around me and it was amazing I couldn’t ask for any better customer service.Christy I didn’t forget about you I sat and listened to her talk to people with such kindness her voice makes you feel so warm now I can’t wait to bring my kiddos to come and skate

My family and I went there for the first time and it was ok. They have different games for skating and arcades but some of the arcades RIP you off, you pay but cant play. When you go to get your skates you get them yourself in the skate room but they dont have disaffecte spray for the skates. We will not be going back there

If only they didnt play such dirty and inappropriate songs in the presence of children the place would be better. Also it isnt very beginners friendly as they dont offer trainers. Ive seen kid after kid fall to the ground without anything to hold onto. Its pretty and way less crowded than Astro but it sure needs to improve.

Music wasn’t good. We asked if they could livin it up a little, but they didn’t. The referee, John, on the rink was also very rude. As soon as I stepped onto the rink he was rushing me to get to the middle because I wasn’t going fast enough. He did this multiple times.

This rink isn’t beginner friendly. The music is terrible, not a fan of it at all. The attendant named John was very rude and annoying. He was pestering me the whole night. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great place to go for a day or night with the family. We had a fun time skating around. It definitely is tricky at first after not skating in so long though. They have a beginner area towards the backside. We took the kids there and let them practice the whole time. They do have pretty tightened skates to help kids not fall as easily but only up to a certain size. My son was super wobbly and had issues staying up. My daughter on the other hand had the pre-tightened skates and was smoother at not falling.. lol! They have great pizza too. We got a pizza to share and a pitcher also. Id totally go here again!

Old Fashioned skating rink with some updated bells and whistles

Great place for a family night out. They have games, food, and a smaller area for beginner skaters. The place is large enough that when theres lots of people you arent bumping into others. Its also clean, well lit, plenty of parking, and lots of places to sit. I definitely recommend!

This place is still awesome...I grew up skating here for birthday parties and school events, and now my children are doing the same thing. They have maintained it well. Price is pretty good for what you get. Definitely recommend taking your kids here for something different.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE I don’t even know where to begin I have seen live roaches crawling on the carpet I have seen a roach on the food counter and live roach in the skate box the food taste terrible the service is terrible they do not clean the skates I have smelled a strong odor of marijuana all around the building before I spoke to a worker about it and the worker told me people rent out the rink and smoke weed in it TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PLACE

Skate there on and off since 2007, very reasonable price even with skate rentals, if you like bring your own skate, make sure your skates never used outdoor. Their floors are fabulous. I remember they even have roll dance class in the morning.(not sure still have it or not) Adult nights are fun with all different type of skate styles. I wish the place stays open everyday and during the week you can have kids lessons and after school programs.

I grew up in this rink with my sister and our friends. We still skate here and now bring our kids to make the same memories. Semoran is dear to my heart, that will never change.

Great time with good music. I was surprised to hear some songs that i knew! I did not skate but the young ones had a great time. There is certainly something fun about seeing people go round and round.

This place is awesome & MIGUEL IS THE BEST!!! Me and my family are regulars because of it. Miguel needs to be in the DJ Booth way more often playing all the great beats he does.He knows the kind of songs everyone likes & can actually skate/jam too which makes a world of difference out on the rink and your experience here. If I could give a half star I would. This place has security for Gods sake and my sons shoes were stolen. I know better places were the priority is customers safety. Just today 3 other shoes were stolen too, and staff is complaining that it our fault for not being able to buy a $.50 locker? You should be able to go to a place feeling trusted, not having to waste a money for a locker. If it’s been problems for other people they should fix it. Enough said finding the robber won’t do anything, they don’t take tabs on who comes in or out. What’s the point!

Kids VIP Birthday party: The hostess was amazing. We brought food and by the time I went to set up the food, it was already done. The room neon party room was decorated well but we did not spend much time in there. The kids had so much fun and we loved the separate kid rink with side rails. My daughter went in needing help skating in the kiddie area and left skating in the adult area with confidence. All of the kids improved with skating in just one day. The employees are there to help and are very kind with falls and assuring everyone has safe fun. I would recommend anyone who wants a reasonable priced birthday party to check their packages out. Our family had a wonderful time thanks to Semoran Skateway. If I could give 10 stars I would. Party Date 5/25/19

The music is amazing at this skating rink and the best part is that there is a mini rink in the back for beginners. I drive 35 minutes just to get to this rink when I have one 10 minutes away.

Neat that this place is still open. My Friday nights when I was 14 and 15 were spent here in the 80s. Was awesome 35 years and probably still is.

One of the best skating floors on the east coast! So smooth and fast. Good mix of music a bit of new and old something for everyone. We live in Savannah, GA and found this gem of a rink while on vacation. We will definitely make more trips to Semoran Skate way!

I would never throw another birthday party here. It’s terrible for birthdays. Period the staff are nice but their operation for birthdays are terrible

Its always a blast from the past for me. One of the coolest things though; its a blast for my daughters future. True family fun. Plenty of room, the floor is always perfect. Music from many generations and its all good.

Fun Night of Roller Skating

I love this skating rink and I used to faithfully go 3 times a week, but this is the only skating rink that I go to where it’s a thousand rules to obey. I get that skating rinks have rules and regulations, but when you can’t even listen to your own music off your phone or MP3 then that’s just stupid. They want you to have only one ear piece in and there music is 10 times louder then the music you’re listening to which is so dumb. Overall, this is a great skating rink, but no other skating rink has all the rules that they have. Not that my little money matters , but I was going faithfully every week spending at least $40 + ..... let these people listen to their own music and actually get more music for rhythm skaters as you have different types of skaters that come to your rink!

I go here every Sunday with excitement to go skating. I always have fun when I’m skating and I enjoy the fun activities they have. The only reason why I made this review a 4 star is because the food at the snack bar is not that great. Besides that, I love it!

Floor is really taken care of well. The most important part of the rink is well maintained floors. Heard some parents complaining today that the rink is super strict.. Well, yes, rules help keep the facility nice for all to enjoy. This rink has been in business for many years because they care and enforce protocols. Its a tough industry to keep going, and kudos to Semoran Skateway for persevering and giving kids a reason to participate in a fun activity. We skated here many years ago and now have our granddaughter enjoying it.

If you know how to skate and love skating this is your rink. Prices of snack bar items and tastiness are not important when youre their to SKATE! If you know anything about floor coating then you know that Semoran has the best floor in Florida! Love this place with all of my heart!

My 12 year old meets her friends here and they have lots of fun. It’s about $10 per person, not too bad. My only issues are- the entry wait time and building could use renovation. She rated 4 stars.

The place is clean and music is good. The biggest problem are the people in the front office. I ask a question about a transaction because they machine wasnt working and I had two pending transactions from them swiping twice. The response I got was well you need to call the bank thats not our problems, we didnt charge you.

Semoran Skateway is an amazing place. Every time I come here I always have fun with my family. Its a great atmosphere they have great food at the snack bar. My favorite part about Semoran Skateway is that they host schools for their skate nights. I always go to Every skate night for English estates with my daughter. Itll be sad next year when she changes schools.

First visit to semoran skateway and loved most of it. Three things for MGMT to consider: last night was top 40s music but it wasnt top 40s, when security addressed a person in my group, she was not friendly (also heard her be unfriendly towards others) and the worst thing of all is that the skates do not get sprayed before being reused---very disgusting and unsanitary.

Music was bagging.

Semoran Skateway is a blast, great floor and great music. My youngest daughter is in a wheelchair and they made accommodations for her to have fun and I couldnt be more happier. Thank you to the staff and the manager.

Please do not take your kids to this skate place! All they care about is money. I have gone to this skate place 4 times this year for my kids skate night and all 4 times I had problems with them and now I refuse to go back. the last time I went my daughter had sprained her ankle a couple of days before and she just wanted to go to watch the rest of her siblings skate even though she was not skating they still charged me for her admission and her skates, even though on the flyer it says that they do not have to pay to watch do not give them any money they are not worth it! instead spend your money on taking your kids out to eat!!,

By far the best place to roller skate in Orlando. Great folks and good times. Who thats lived in Central Florida has not been there and enjoyed themselves? If youre looking for something to do while visiting Orlando, I highly recommend that you check them out!!

Rude staff. They need to have higher standards in customer service communication especially in an atmosphere where there are children.

Went here just to fit my wife for some skates. Jaime was patient and provided us with what we wanted along with some suggestions. Afterwards, we walked around the rink to have a look around. The place was clean, music fresh and overall looked entertaining. Now, we didn’t skate that night, but we plan on visiting and doing some skating in the very near future.Will update later after my first skate.

I’ve been coming here for the last few weeks with no issues. I had a teal headband on, and I am growing out my hair so I need it to hold my hair back. A woman who works here stops me and says I need to take it out because no bandanas are allowed. It was rolled up as a headband, not even showing the pattern. It wasn’t a bandana. Another girl on the rink had a red bandana print headband on too, and another girl had a headband on that covered a lot of her hair too. I wouldn’t have went without being able to cover this hair as I am embarrassed about it. I wear this to work at a high school as a teacher, there is nothing inappropriate about it. I paid at the window and no one said anything to me about it being an issue. No skateguard told me it would be an issue. My fiancé and I are regulars, and we will not be returning now.

A group of friends of mine all paid to go in and skate, I was feeling a little under the weather and decided to just watch when they tried charge me $8 to go inside and watch because I was 18+. When it costs $10 to skate? I’m sorry what? This is absurd, it was not posted anywhere on the website that they would charge me. Will not be coming back.

This is the most well maintained rink in the area. It could be better if the rules were inforced on the skate floor.

It has always been super fun, Ive been going since i was a kid. BUT today i went with a group of friends and they wouldnt play any songs that we requested, but yet they played a bunch of vulgar rap music?? dont get me wrong i enjoyed myself, but i dont think they should have a song request list if they arent going to use it.

This rink appears to be a fun and eye opening place, especially for parties. I came here for my cousin Leahs 8th birthday and im proud to say that the family and I had a lot of fun! I highly recommend this rink

By far the best roller skating rink in Central Florida. No one else even comes close. I love this place.

I love Semoran and have been coming here for decades, but the lack of attention by certain floor guards to stop cell phones on the floor is frustrating. As well as the fact that inexperienced skaters are allowed to participate in advanced skates. Having inexperienced skaters sit out allows them to be inspired by the skaters that have earned their place with sweat and bruises and have purchased specialized gear to enjoy skating even more. Semoran, honor your long-time customers by giving them their time on the floor without being put in danger by extremely new skaters.

Out standing skating rink, flawless floor with unbelievable grip, state of the art sound system, JBL speakers arranged in such a fashion that the sound quality is consistent no matter what part of the rink you are on, super clean facility, very friendly staff. A large group of us from Tampa ( The U Crew from United skates ) travel two hours each way just to skate there . We feel very welcomed and are respected and treated with courtesy by all of the local skaters and the entire staff; well worth the drive. We had the pleasure of meeting new people and making new friends ️ ... I want to add an update to my review, on Sunday, May 26 2019, 8:00 to 12:00 evening Skate, one of our Tampa U Crew members from United States took a fall, The cause was a loose skate boot lace that became tangled up in a wheel, immediately after the fall a off-duty employee was there within seconds, she handled it perfectly !! Stop the music… Lights on… Clear of the floor ! She went above and beyond the call of duty, and every other skater there that evening !! This is why I love my Skating family ️️ Everyone helped with the first aid , we were surrounded with compassion !! I am happy to report that the fallen skater is making a full recovery Semoran Skateway Rocks ️

I went for my friends 23rd Birthday and I did not really want to go. So I may be biased but I did not like it. It’s an average price. I didn’t try the food. There’s a room that you go to and you choose your skates. I’ve never been to a rink that did that. It was very musty and tight in that room. They have 50 cent lockers for you to store your valuables. The rink isn’t too big and there’s a kiddy one. When we went they kept kicking everyone off the rink. We got there around 9 it closed at 1030 and I think we were able to skate maybe for a total of 45 minutes because they kept making it shuffle skaters only. Very annoying and the referee was blowing her whistle every few minutes. At what? I cannot tell you. I’ve got no clue. All in all I would not go back there unless someone forced me to.

You cant go wrong with some roller skating on a weekend afternoon! My girls love to skate and this place is the only place in town (I think). Its not necessarily cheap but also not super-expensive. Theres crappy snack foods and drinks inside and all the skating you can handle. Sometimes it feels like youve traveled back in time in this joint....and thats fun!

Classic skating rink experience. Good wood floor. Lots of activities. Still a strong business doing what it needs to provide enjoyment for families. Birthday parties. Adult nights. Kid days. Semoran continues to deliver. Same old place, same old feel, continually being kept up. Makes it perfect for families who have grown up around the area. Hopefully it stays a small icon of Orlando.

I had a fantastic time skating here. But last time I was there the skate floor could use resurfacing especially directly in front of the skate room. But the rink offers an area with a rail on the wall behind the main rink for new skaters and for careful warmup for individuals who have not skated in a while, Without the worry of falling down on a busy skate floor.

This was my families 1st time here for school night. We had a good time. There is a nice big track as well as a little track for newbies to practice on.

The last time that I was at Semoran Skateway was for my nieces 8th birthday party... the time before that was when I was her age. It is amazing how many childhood memories kicked in that night of when I was her age and skating here. This family owned skate rink has done a great job in maintaining the facility and providing generations of happy memories. Looking forward to getting the family together for another memory making skate night soon.

Very well taken care of rink. Usually go on Saturday nights. Decent music. There is a time when everyone is asked to exit the floor and rules are stated clearly. Then, everyone is released back to skate and the rules are barely enforced. This makes for a more dangerous and less enjoyable night. At minimum, if the rule of slower skaters staying to the inside was enforced all the other rules that are ignored and barely enforced-like no cell phones/no hats/no bags-would be contained in one zone.

Adult night ...worst DJ ever. Dont play 3 songs at once like a mix. Maybe in The begining a little...then move on to the actual song. Songs do not mash well for long periods of time. Plays like 3 songs with same other song constant in background entire 3 songs. What is that ??!! Which beat to I skate to ? Came with a group to skate to good music not what this DJ thinks is some sort of mix. Horrible !!! Was trying out adult nights. Have to try another rink and hop they have a DJ that knows what he is doing. Music selection is horrible. One good song to 5 crappy ones. Maybe he should visit other rinks to see whats good.
