This is a great family area, no shade but definitely can be a good time for a little walk or picnic.

This is a really fun place, but please keep in mind that its really in the middle of the desert. Make sure to bring your meal(s) and/or your drink(s) with you. because there will be nothing there for you to buy. Really, nothing. But the views are beautiful . There are multiple pavilions and picnic tables and waste bins for your use. When I was there, there was a family listening to music and throwing a football around, a woman walking her dog and a set of climbers. Its really up to you to do and bring what youre most into!

This park is or can be beautiful. Doesnt anyone keep it up? Lots of broken glass and empty cans. Bathrooms r disgisting! Hiking is awesome though shame on you city council, u could make this a main attraction for visitors

North mountain and girl scout mountain are the same place. It just changed nAmes over the years. It is a great place for family to get together. They have ramadas grills tables, and even mountains for kiddos to play on. My family goes and plays laser tag thereon occasion, its a good time. As far as ramadas go you can reserve one, or try to get one at your own risk. The summer shouldnt be a problem, though the good ones are usually gone on winter spring and fall.
