Amazing bottle of wine, made from muscadine grapes I believe? I dont know. Im no sommelier, but I think the bottle I had was from the east of Narnia (swirl and spit), west of Moria (swirl and smell), infused with a hint of unicorn horn and...(subtle smacking of the lips) a zest of dragon scale - simply put - pure magic.

This place used to be great, one of my favorite wineries in NC. But unfortunately since the new ownership a few years back, things have been progressively going downhill. It got to the point where I removed myself from their wine club after several years because frankly, it just wasnt worth it any more. And Im glad I did, because the wines tasted more like grape soda than wine, and the last bottle I opened was somehow carbonated.I spoke with someone from the winery over the phone regarding it, which they did offer to replace for me (which I appreciated). But frankly, it wasnt worth the time or gas to me to drive all the way there for a replacement bottle when I havent been satisfied with their wines as of late anyways.I TRULY hope that they get their stuff back on track and the quality back to what it was, because it was great place with great wine, but it just isnt what it used to be.To end on a positive note, Nancy there is one of the best people Ive met working behind a counter. When they open the bar room area back up, if shes still there after all this covid stuff, Id say to go check them out, even if only to get the chance to meet her.

Very friendly staff, especially the main bar woman! I forget her name sadly. The fruit wines are the best! Prices are a little higher than desired, would be the only reason to fall short of 5 stars.

My coworker and I were looking for something to do while in town for work and we came across this local Winery, so we went to check it out and we had a fantastic time! Nancy was so nice and inviting. We also met Daniel who was new there and very friendly. Great conversation with them both! The wine was fantastic! We bought a few bottles to take home.

Very disappointing experience tonight. We came in at 6:25 to do a wine tasting. The person working told us she didnt have time to do a wine tasting. The way she said it was extremely rude. There were only 4 other people in the bar that were drinking glasses of wine. We have been here a number of times before and it has never taken over 30 minutes to do a tasting. We would have been okay to do a shortened tasting if it took too long. We drove over 30 minutes to get there which turned out to be a waste of time. We wont be back.

My friend and I were visiting from the east coast and came upon the Chatham hill winery. We decided to give it a try. We were immediately greeted by Nancy, who made us feel welcomed and comfortable. She was absolutely delightful and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time as she brought us and the other patrons together. It was such an enjoyable visit we decided to stop in again at the end of our trip because of Nancy. She is definitely an asset to your business. If we ever get to come back to Raleigh, we would be sure to drop in.

My recent visit to Chatham Hill Winery was long overdue. I drive by several times a week but never dropped in. A couple of weeks back my curiosity got the best of me and I pulled into their parking lot. Im very happy that I did. The interior is elegant and friendly. The assortment of handcrafted wines are impressive. Its great to see a local winery offering high quality wine to the Raleigh-Cary community. Nancy, a delightful staff member, is super helpful and a lot of fun to talk with. I plan to attend a wine tasting event very soon and make this my go-to wine store. If you havent visited, go now!

Reds are better than the whites, but nothing stands out. Very impersonal tasting, and they were particularly understaffed for a busy Saturday trying to offer tours and tastings simultaneously. The woman pouring our tasting rather awkwardly asked me if I was over 21...halfway through the tasting. It was as though she hadnt really been looking at or engaging with us.

I was really looking forward to a wine tasting and a cool atmosphere. This wasn’t it. The wines are ok, not great. It would probably bring in a better crowd if the bar was larger or they had several bars instead of dining tables. They don’t serve food but it looked like a hole in the wall restaurant. The staff was friendly. The patrons are definitely all over 55 years old. The bartender told me because it’s Friday night they don’t do wine tastings as it gets loud and crowded. The crowd was about 14 people. It never got busy or crowded.

Cute place, pleasant staff, but pricey for fairly unimpressive wines. (The website, as of my writing this, gives incorrect information about the cost of a tasting). White wines were fine; reds were sour.

Warning: this winery attempts to overcharge your credit card. I bought one bottle for $15.00 and they charged my account twice, once for $15.00 and again for $28.96. When I called the owner, he promised a check would be sent in the mail to me the next day for the overcharge. Still waiting a month later and he refuses to call me back. I will be disputing the charges on my credit card. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Good heavens, where to begin?Lets start with the positive. Its easily accessible from I-40, so those visiting Raleigh arent going to have trouble finding it. The off-street parking wont make you fear for your sideview mirrors like some locations downtown. Those, sadly, are the most impressive features of this winery. The website, which, at the time of review was a broken mess, had no pricing for the hoped for tastings, but the TripAdvisor reviews gave pretty solid indications for $10 tastings consisting of 8 pours. Thats not the case. The offering given was $15 for six pours (which indicates an extremely high opinion of the wine).Rather than invest $30 on the unknown, I chose to try the $8/glass 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon. This proved to be a mistake. A charitable description would be that this wine was quite green. Perhaps 2016 saw too much rain in NC, but this pails in comparison to VA offerings of the same vintage. The $7/glass Chenin Blanc offered a passable entry, but it hardly justified the expense. To leave on a favorable note, if you dig 70s folk rock, the ambient music will catch you right in the feels.

What a great place! We did a wine tasting here - it was their Halloween special - wines paired with Halloween candy. So fun! Their wines are really delicious - I thought I wasn’t a big fan of NC wines (too sweet), but Chatham Hill makes some dry wines that totally proved me wrong. Will definitely be back here, for another tasting, a flight, or just to have glass to sip on their front porch.

Cute little shop, the lady who was behind the bar was great and really earned a 5 star rating while my wife and I were there. We spilled a small amount of a wine slushie and not only did she offer to help us clean up she refilled part of our glass to make up for the lost slushie!

I brought some people here for a tasting. They had a special popcorn pairing on the day I came, with cheddar popcorn and caramel popcorn pairings for certain wines. The wines were good, but we felt very rushed during our tasting. Next time I would get a tasting bridge and sit to feel less rushed.

I was quite pleased to find this winery within the local North Carolina area. I came to this location to celebrate a birthday and the overall ambience of the location made it a quaint little location to enjoy. While I personally must admit that I am partial to Pinot Noir, I found their other reds, scilicet, their Cabernet Sauvignon and Trinity Blend they offered were able to satisfy my palate.

You Are Not Welcome At Chatham Hill Winery!!!I have to agree with the most recent reviews of Chatham Hill Winery. While the exterior of Chatham Hill Winery is not symbolic of a typical winery, it certainly matches the cold and annoyed feel you get when you walk into the establishment.First let me say if you dress in anything but ascots and loafers, you will enter Chatham Hill Winery, and be greeted with looks of disgust. Secondly, the lady will treat you like you know nothing about wine, and while I can say I know nothing about Chatham Hill Wines, I do know wine, and how people should be treated at a winery.Lastly the wine is great, but dont stay there, because they do not know how to treat people, and when you go there 3 hours before they close on a Saturday, the people who work at Chatham Hill Winery, will tell you sorry we are rude its just the end of the day.
