Great park, but closed due to COVID-19
Great experience/atmosphere for people of all skills
My son recently got a skateboard and needed a place to skate. Hes been going here a lot and enjoying it. There are a lot of things to commend Sk8 Cary.1. The parking is very good and since its on Maynard its kind of in the middle of Cary.2. The facility is very nice. There are a variety of ramps and rails for practicing tricks, but there is also some space for folks who are just getting started. They also provide a workbench with a light and tools if you need to work on your skates. They also have nice wicker couches if you want to hang out with your kids.3. The area is contained. Theres really just one way in or out, so its pretty safe to leave your kids there.4. The park is supervised. I have been very impressed with the people working here. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It does cost some money to use it, but I think thats a good thing if you can afford it. It definitely doesnt have the free-for-all vibe of the skate park in Apex.
The new ramp additions are a lot of fun and add to the flow of the park imensly. The staff are fun to hang around. And its open till 10. Still my local skatepark after almost 9 years
Only reason I gave this 3 stars its bc this is clearly a bmx or transition skater park. Theres only large ramps and one hubba ledge and one rail. No street course.. No grinding options really. Just fairly large ramps suitable for bmx and skaters who are more of a transition rider or perhaps a scooter kid and you just want to be in the way. Theres also a mini ramp with a spine and several hips and a couple (large) fly boxes.
Love the staff here and how its supervised. Great camps too!
Excellent atmosphere even for my very inexperienced 8-year-old. Great spot.
Great professionally run local skatepark with a pro shop that includes drinks and snacks. This park allows action sports including skateboards, BMX, scooters, rollerblades and parkour. Check calendar schedules for session times and special events. This park is great for any level of riding and offers lessons and seasonal day camps.
Great place to ride bikes, skateboards and scooters. All staff is nice and the facility is clean. As a staff member myself, I can attest that they treat their employees right and have no sketchy business. Great place to bring kids to learn and experienced riders too.
Great place for all level of skaters and riders.
Sick park with all the fun but a smaller price than Daniel dhers action sports complex sk8 cary:$2.50 Daniel dhers asc:$15 for whole day weekday pass and $20 for a whole day weekend pass
Really friendly place, everyone is really nice and helpful. Ramps are great. Would definitely recommend the camps.
We had fun. They are closed on Sunday, at least to the public. We found that out after getting there and finding out we couldnt skate.
My son loves it. Friendly crowd. Nice facility.
The best
Good park the wood is a little run down
Sk8 is among my favorite parks in the Triangle. The vibe is welcoming and they are more than accomodating to every skill levels. The instructors and staff are engaging, full of encouragement and form real connections. This park is what bmx is all about.
I love this place great for first timers but open to anyone scooters and skate boards are great to ride this park
Great beginer skate park cheap and check hours before you go.
This is a well kept place, good for the younger kids who like to bike or skateboard
