Lovely inn keeper. The inn is closed this December but Eric was wonderful and allowed us to use the Inn for her engagement party on December 7th. Eric is extremely knowledgeable about all the historical pieces and so much more. Would highly recommend the Inn even though I havent spent the night there. You should go there for a relaxing ambiance, the fantastic property views, and the rooms.

I called looking for peace and quiet and what I found was a majestic piece of heaven in Carey’s own backyard. Quiet, peaceful and serene with all the comforts of a 5 star hotel.Eric opened his doors for me and from the time I heard his welcoming voice over the phone to the time I departed after my weekend getaway, he made me feel welcome and like an old friend in his home.Small details were considered like fresh cut flowers in my room and a plate of chocolates to a warm welcome at the door followed by a tour of his magnificent house. Breakfast each morning was prepared on my time and all I had to do when I was ready was send him a text asking if the coffee was ready.Two days was not enough to take in all the beauty the Inn has to offer and I wish I had the time to have stayed a week or more enjoying Erics hospitality and delicious food.True hospitality at its finest! Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in North Carolina.

My wife and I decided to stay here for a weekend getaway. The house was great, and the property was also fantastic. The place was laid out perfect for wedding parties or even business team getaways. Its located just outside of Cary, so we were able to spend the day shopping in Cary, and at night we were able to have a huge amount of options for fine dining or bar food. We loved our weekend getaway. Thanks Eric for the perfect weekend.

I had the pleasure of meeting Eric Hoke this week and taking a tour of this incredible home. I am still in awe over it all. I cant believe we have a gem like this in Cary! This place is paradise and Eric might be the most interesting person Ive ever met! If you want an out of ordinary experience, definitely pay the Hamilton Scot Inn a visit. I cant wait to go back!

My wife and I just spent the afternoon with Eric. And, what can one say he is a gracious and Innkeeper. The tour of the mansion and the seclusion one immediately sees and feels is palpable. While my review is quite late, I have only great things to say about the Inn and our experience. I would absolutely, and very highly, recommend the Inn to anyone considering a special occasion or even just a getaway weekend! In May of 2016, my fiance and I booked the Inn for our wedding weekend (including all events). Let me start by saying that Eric is one of the most gracious hosts weve ever encountered. He made us feel as if we were at home and part of the family, which made our weekend even more amazing. The Inn and the grounds are absolutely stunning and will take anyones breath away, even on a regular day. But for our wedding day, Eric and Kyla turned the Inn into something magical. On-site event planning provided by Kyla made the planning a breeze and was very much appreciated. Both Eric and Kyla were willing to work with us at every step and were extremely accommodating (and very considerate of our budget!). Even our dogs were allowed to be present for the entire weekend! Im not sure words can fully express just how grateful we are to have found such an amazing venue, coupled with such outstanding service. Our wedding day guests (around 50), including family who stayed on-site for the weekend (20 - thanks to additional sleeping arrangements provided) were all amazed at the level of service provided and the accommodations...everyone absolutely loved the wedding. Kyla and Eric took care of everything from the food ( provided by a celebrity chef!), bar service (even allowing us to bring our own), the guest rooms and decorations! Everything was fantastic and we couldnt have asked for our special day to be any more perfect..even in hindsight. So Eric, please forgive the delay in providing my review, but know that you and Kyla were instrumental in allowing us to create beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you both!!

Eric Hokes Hamilton Scot In is a treasure. Nestled on fifteen acres in rapidly developing Cary, NC, this is a quiet retreat where time actually seems to slow down. Eric as innkeeper does a great job as host, preparing wonderful breakfasts or sharing a glass of wine with guests in late afternoon and early evening. The accommodations are extremely nice too.

Our second stay at the Hamilton Scot Inn was just a wonderful as the first. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the evenings on the back patio were lovely. The host went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We definitely hope to return again for another visit.

My husband and I drove up from the Gulf coast to bring our son his Labrador retriever.Our son lives in Cary. We were delighted to find Eric and his amazing inn. Eric is a dear one for sure. First, this is a fabulous house. Modern in every respect, but done in an historic manner, from the 4,000 pieces of wood in the entryway and dining room patterned after Jeffersons Monticello home, to the walls richly paneled with fine wood removed from an old Raleigh bank. The setting is very serene, but be aware that it isnt within walking distance to anywhere. However, it is conveniently placed about equidistant from Cary and Apex as well as between Raleigh and Durham (and the RDU airport for that matter). The rooms are what one would expect from a top-notch B&B and the service by the innkeeper is way beyond expectations. Although we drove there, after 8 hours on the road, we decided to use Uber to go to dinner in Apex. It was a short, quick, inexpensive, no-hassle experience and a great dinner at a restaurant recommended by the innkeeper. In case you somehow missed it, I highly recommend this B&B.

We had a fabulous stay! I cant say enough for the genuine warmth of the host! You are guaranteed a relaxing nights sleep and indulgence during the day. We cant wait till our next mini vacation there.

Eric is a true gentleman, his attention to detail is absolute and will make you feel at home. It was a very relaxing weekend. - Yes, we will be back with friends to share this awesome place.
