What a beautiful reservation. Their sites are large and shaded. Great bike friendly! So many beautiful ponds. The bathrooms are sadly in need of an uplift. We have a travel trailer and would absolutely love water and electric (we do know it’s camping though), hoping as state parks are getting water electric on sites, this campground will be one which jumps on board. Over all, love this place.

Its where I bowhunt for deer, and fish the gin clear kettle ponds for bass and trout. Its far enough from town, and also large enough to enjoy total solitude. Aside from the occasional car driving by, or a distant dog bark, its a very quiet place and gives you the feeling of being in a wilderness environment. You will enjoy great access to all the ponds and pine baron forests unique to SE Mass. Standish is my church and Ive been a devout congregate since I was a little boy when my late father brought me there...

Every year since I believe 2015, my family and I go camping here. It’s always so nice and fun. We find new trails every year. We ride our bikes down the big hills and skateboard at the basketball court. We love the pond near us. Every year my cousins and I discover something new that we always return to the next year. Overall, this is an amazing place.

The East Head Pond Trail was a nice easy hike for my very young niece. Watch out for the horse droppings, though. Also, at the time of writing, there is a section of the trail that is closed and you will have to walk along the road. Another section had a downed tree limb but, i expect that to be removed soon.

Every summer my family and I enjoy camping. This place is very affordable for big family’s like my own. The kids enjoy it very much. If you don’t wish to camp the have ponds you can go for the day which the day pass is 8 bucks for mass people. They have bathroom with free showers when camping you can take your pets. I take are two dogs which one is a pug and Pitbull. The sites are all nice ferry pond and college ponds are great. July 4 gets so packed so we skip that day. Other then that’s kids enjoy fishing swimming going on paddle boats.

Wow what a beautiful park!! The campsites where huge with nice thick cover between sites. The park while not in the most rural area, you will be fooled into thinking you are miles from civilisation. The pond was clean and well kept but the beach/s was a little small. The main office and the campsites are miles apart and the campsite can be a little tricky getting round because the park is so big. Bathrooms were clean and the staff were very welcoming. Well worth a visit.

4th of July 2020 went to celebrate and make a day of it i was so disappointedBecause on line says opens at 6:30 woke up 5 am drove all the way down there being the first. 2 cars in line at 6:00 and not open until 9am. here comes 3 more cars at about 6:30 cuts the line turns their cars facing the opposite side on a ONE WAY STREET to cut the line park ranger came at about 8am i went over and ask are we in the right area to enter the park? And i explained about the 3 cars one the wrong direction on a ONE WAY STREET park ranger says oh they do that every dayI said thats NOT RIGHT ! Here everyone is in line in the right direction and you allow them in before everyone else is absolutely wrong and i have taken pictures and will file a complaint i was first here before anyone and they are illegally parked. Well he let my car go first then allowed these 3 cars before allowing the car behind me that was with me and arrived with me at the very same time. Oh and when i arrived i walked down to water to check out the area and my lord it was filthy trash EVERYWHERE it was so disgusting i mentioned this as well to the park ranger and he says well thats why the gates not open yet because the crew will go in to clean first and that is absolutely uncalled for trash could blow into the swimming water and infested with ants and wild life throughout the picnicking area and charge $8:00 for a DUMP to picnic inFerrings pond area and this includes campers swimming area not just day use for a picnic and charge $17:00 a night for camping with such conditions is ABSOLUTELY UNCALLED FOR !!THE PARK CLOSES AND CLEAN UP CREW SHOULD BE IN CLEANING RIGHT AWAY.it was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING !!

Ive spent thousands of hours in these woods in my life time and frankly I dont think youll find a more beautiful North Eastern pine barren forest. If your an adventurer, equestrian, biker, hiker or you just have an adorable pooch who loves to run this is the place to go. I suggest swinging by the rangers station grabbing a folding map and checking each trailhead off one at a time.

Absolutely gorgeous state park with beautiful clear ponds. Unfortunately fellow campers use the dumpsters to dump things like mattresses which I could live with if people didnt litter literally every where. Fire pits full of cans. Site full of Nerf gun pellets and beer tops and other assorted trash. While we were sitting in our site someone literally drove by and threw a bag of trash out their car window. The ponds were gorgeous and there are places you can take your dog in off the main beaches. Big plus. There are 4 dumping stations behind the registration building but the driveway is marked employee parking only so ask when you check in so you dont have issues trying to figure it out leaving. People also left trash here too.We were in loop E. Bathrooms were just ok but showers were hot and included so you dont have to fuss with quarters which is nice. Sites were large and reasonably private. Neighbors were respectful of quiet time which was good because rangers are not around much after dark. Dumpsters were full all weekend and also two weekends before that when we drove in to look at sites.

I recommend this area to anybody interested in exploring the different plants and animals in the area, or even just taking a leisurely stroll around.
