Terrific place to put a kayak in to paddle the Great Fresh Kill in Staten Island. Saw at least 10 pairs of ospreys, dozens of turtles, and a stag. Waterfronts park is well maintained with a number of activities, a snack bar, and bathrooms.

One of my favorite places to visit for an enjoyable day by the water and watch the occasional boats go by. The area is kept very clean by the present groundskeeper. There are also tables for your use. I am happy I found this hidden Gem!

Its very quiet, plus in the summer time. They have some wonderful invents. Where you can go with the family.

The place is good maintained. The view is super. We discovered the walking trail this time and have good kids activities.

Good boat launch and parking. Bathrooms arent always open. Can be busy on weekends with Jet Skis who like to linger at the ramp.

Nice park. Clean bathrooms. Great marina. Annoying music being blared out of vehicles parked but other than that it is a nice place.

A very serene atmosphere for relaxing, taking walks, boat riding, leisure fishing, childrens play ground and a private marina. The 9-11 memorial site across the Arthur Kill just a view away. Nice music festivals and programs during summer for residents. Lovely, quiet and safe neighborhood .

The waterfront was amazing it was clean and a fun place to take the kids.

Nice park on the water. There are a lot of features but only a few were open. Theres a snack shop and mini golf but they were closed. The putting green has not been maintaned in years but the horseshoe pits look new. The boat ramp is kinda small and was quite crowded when I was there on a Sunday.

Seemingly little know marina with solidly built concrete floating docks and many empty slips. Accomodating staff, dedicated air conditioned bathrooms. Very easy in and out. 25-30 minutes to navigate to Manhattan.

Nice. Place good walk. Playground for kids, fishing can be done, water scooter allowed.

I have so many good memories of me and my dad walking here. When I grow older I plan to get a boat here

Very beautiful waterfront park. Well maintained by the city and also many nee things are coming like ferris wheel and Urban beach.

Bring an umbrella, water, snacks a camera or a good book. Late afternoon is great.

Great location for on land fishing. Area is quiet in the morning, with the exception of a few folks on jetskeys or small fishing boats.

Nice place and clean. Plenty of spots to fish.

Carteret has done a lot of work on this spot and Im deeply impressed and love that its here.

Hermoso...Beautiful Place

Its relaxing and has something for most to enjoy

Not you typical park. As you come upon this waterfront gem, you see a large lighthouse. There is a miniature golf course, a large pier, pavilion for summer concerts and a boat ramp. There are plenty of seats to enjoy the nice days. There is a little of everything for everyone to enjoy. Bait cutting stations for the fishermen, walking paths with exercise stations strategically placed. There are restrooms centrally located, and right near the swings / slides for the young ones. This is a well thought out park that is continuing to expand. Kudos to the planners and facilitators.

Nice water front walk. We went when they had a band in park. People were dancing and having fun. Dog friendly too.

Beautiful location for family and friends. Lovely view and theres also a boardwalk. No snack bar though so be sure to bring snacks and drinks if staying for a long period. Overall, its truly beautiful.

Very nice. I never imagined that the city had do e such a nice job cleaning and constructing a boardwalk there. It was clean and well maintained. There are plenty of space for people fishing, benches to sit and enjoy the view while watching the ships passing by or just walk around the park like scenery on the boardwalk.Parking was pretty good too. But the place is a bit hard to find, since there are no street signs leading to it. Make sure to GPS your way there.

The contrast of 30 year makes one proud to live in Carteret. Nothing but gains bro. Its like Carteret went lifting over the winter and came out buff. The waterfront is just the start.

Beautiful place with serene waters. It is good to visit with family, as it has play area for kids and open gym, benches to sit at, many people fishing. Love going here again and again.

The park is very beautiful but it was a good idea that they also thought of disabled children and thus put swings and other games for them.

Beautiful spot to walk at local with a view of New York on the other end. A lot of boat activity so pictures are lively.Only disappointing part is a portion of the pier has been closed off for better rebuilding, but that old steel pier portion made it kinda risky and entertaining.Nonetheless great spot to reflect and relax, also has a park for kids so enjoy and fishing is encouraged.

I have been down the waterfront in the passed couple of years lots of improvement new boat docking and boat parking ...looks amazing
