This place is a hidden gem. For $25 I got a private bath with a lock on the door. And for 2 hours. If your in the area please come here. There is also a good restaurant and bar right next door. Really recommend it

Had a good time at the Carson hot springs! I would definitely recommend for the cleanliness factor and really appreciated that. The employees were cleaning on a schedule while we were there and were not in our way. Other guests were courteous, nice to have options of a little snack stand inside, nice dressing rooms/bathrooms. Cant wait to see what the construction will bring. Maybe a cool temperature pool? That would be so nice.

Private pools are very relaxing. Make sure you step out once in a while to cool off (ours was 103°F).The outdoor pool was so relaxing I almost fell asleep in it (97°F). Dont rush into the hammer because the water falling from it is boiling hot. Bring sunscreen for the outdoor pool.Well worth $25 for the private pool + outdoor common pool.

Private hot tub rooms are my favorite part. The outdoor pool with the hammer has a big tube to pour down water. Its such an awesome massage. Best to visit during the winter. Theyve been doing construction here for many years now as theyre trying to improve the place.

Always great consistent plates. I come here for the fried chicken, so thats pretty much all I can speak about. Its always beautifully seasoned crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Its pasted with mashed potatoes and a chorizo gravy along with steamed veggies. Sitting on the small deck with a nice breeze and shade makes for a pleasant dining experience. When you are done walk over to Shoetree brewing and enjoy some of the best local craft beer around!

The pool and room were nice. It was the customer service that I am giving 1 Star. Short rude unhappy women at the front desk was rude and talked to us like we were her kids or something, ordering us around. All things considered, you’d think they would be nicer to the customers they do have. Good luck! You’re gonna need it with a poor employee like that! Yuck

Every time we visit here I think of how we can make our own Hammer at home! Pretty amazing waters and super special atmosphere. The owners are first rate people too.

We love this place, every time we stay at Lake Tahoe area (roughly once a year, thanks COVID-19 twice this year) we visit the place. Its very relaxing, they claim its good for your health. Afterwards we visit local casual restaurant Sassafras. There is beautiful East Shore trail nearby. Very nice full day plan.

Its not the fanciest but I love to come here. The hammer is awesome!

Ever since Carson Hot Springs has changed ownership it is a very unpleasant place to go. They discriminate against children, have raised their prices and give horrible service. Recently they posted online that only 50 people can be in the pool at a time so they have to limit the usage to two hours. As we were paying to enter this last weekend, they attacked a family that was exiting the property. They said that the family went over the two hour time limit and owed them more money. They were very aggressive and unpleasant. Once the family left, my husband and I asked them about it. They were equally rude to us. To make matters worse. They had taken my last two punches on my punch card because they thought I was not a senior. Although it is nice to not look my age, it is very rude to assume that I was using a senior card that was not mine. Once we figured out what they did, they insisted that there was only 1 puch left on my card. I mark the card with each use with the number of uses left. I had two punches left on the card. We used our last punches on our cards last weekend. We use to go there 4 to 8 times a month. We will no longer frequent this business. It is to bad.

Today, just last time, lady that works there as well as a young man who was in training, were pretty rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, I will not take a chance again to visit this place. I was a customer for three years. My friends and myself will visit another places , fortunately there are few, where we have more options to enjoy peaceful surroundings, where the place is cleaner , less expensive and has professional personnel.

Easily accessible, no frills hot springs pool. Definitely overdue for some cosmetic upgrades, but I hadnt visited before Covid so I dont have a comparison. Has everything you need for a soak and I will most certainly be back.

The new young staff members obviously have an excellent manager/trainer. They went out of their way to give us an enthusiastic tour and seemed to take genuine pride in the host springs and its history.Not being able to have a cocktail in the hotsprings was a bit deflating . im sure they have tbeir reasons but ive been going ofd and on foe 30 years and it never seemed a problem. Perhaps theu are trying ro enrich the wholesome family experience

Afordable price for a private room for 2 hours. I would recommend to step out to the pool public area , it gets really hot in there . But overall amazing. Super cozy and relaxing.

Ive been to this hot springs many many times but this time was probably the best Ive ever had the staff is great the private baths are immaculate. it was the best place I could have thought of to spend the day with the woman I love.

Disappointed! After a 3 hour drive from West Sac we noticed that the hot tubs weren’t there as they didn’t mention anything about construction on the hot tubs on their site. We tried to talk to the older lady “the manager” that we didn’t know that they didn’t have the hot tubs and that know one folds us about them being shut down through the phone and that we didn’t want to pay $15 just for the pool. We tried to talk it through and maybe get a fair price for the private rooms and all she did was shake her head NO and didn’t want to understand our situation....very disappointed...

Great hot hot springs pool. Locker room is kinda outdated, but ok, but not all that convenient. Love to go there for a hot spring water soak. The hi pressure water pipe over the pool is awesomw. Kids love the pool, once they get used to the very hot water. Samw w/me. Takes a few minutes to adjust your body to the very hot water temp. But oh, so, wonderful after you are in the pool for a few minutes of adjustment to the temp. Try this place in the winter---cold cold out of the pool, & jumping back in is an awesome experience. Go there---youll have a wonderful time.

Bought a card less than 1 year ago, and they said that card is expired. Terrible they stoled our money.

My friends, husband, and I drove about 3 hours to come and find out their outdoor jacuzzi tubs are under construction and not available for use. They have absolutely nothing posted on their website with any disclaimers saying their outdoor jacuzzis aren’t working. The woman who says is the manager was rude and had no good customer service skills, a couple staff in general were rude. It’s a bummer to drive 3 hours to find out we can’t go into the outdoor jacuzzi.

First day CC hot springs have reopened after Covid 19. Rate it 2.5 Stars! The Hammer is the cheapest massage in town! Love it! The waters are silky amazing and staff has always been incredibly friendly. Without the Saunas open this place doesn’t feel the same, not to mention construction started back up during the day so if ya enjoy breathing in loads of CO2 on your soak and hearing loud machinery, this is the place for you. It would be 4.5 stars as it was before since one staff member was great about professionally enforcing rules for everyone’s enjoyable experience. Don’t think I’ll renew my 10 punch pass until construction is finished!

Drove almost 3 Hours to a place that advertised outdoor hot tubs. GUESS WHAT? THERE ARE NONE... their excuse was “oh the outdoor hot tubs have been under construction for 2 years”. And yet in all that time they couldn’t post on their website that their outdoor hot tubs are under construction! Terrible customer service. No one is willing to admit they’re wrong. Literally tried making us feel stupid for not knowing the jacuzzis are closed.

Only 2 hours alowed inside, then you have to leave and if you want another 2 hour youll pay again full price and so on. Used to be you pay for the day. They reduced drastically the time alowed but not the price . Actually the price increased. No wonder there are extremely few people around.

Great place! Ive been coming here since I was a kid (over 20 years!!). They have private rooms, a large outside pool with The Hammer, a couple outside Jacuzzis, and 2 saunas. They used to have a massage therapist but Im not sure if they still offer that service. The history of this place is really cool. I recommend new (or old) visitors look it up. The history will explain a lot about the building. They have a really good website that offers more info and a webcam so you can see how busy they are. Bathing suits are required (for my foreigner friends). Oh and the restaurant, Sassafras, next door is awesome.

The hot springs is often under construction. Id like to see it done for a change.The real attraction is the restaurants Sassafras. Food and service is top of the line. We would recommend it to anyone.

Can be crowded and the water is murkey in the private rooms. They will significantly improve when they expand. Still a great place to visit!

We often visit the Carson Hot Springs. We will usually get a private room to soak as they are not crowded and you can choose the temp you want when you pick a room (from what is available). The outdoor pool is fun for the kid, has the water hammer that is like a lomi lomi massage and you can float around if it isnt too busy. When you get the private room it comes with access to the outdoor pool also if you want. The only downside is it can be spendy, or crowed if they are running a special.

We happened to go on client appreciation day but opted for a private roomUpgrades are wonderful and well worth cost. Last time we were here, price was less but security and appearance were too. Private room includes two hours of private room with pool and area to change that has bench for breaks from hot tub. Admission also includes use of sauna and heated toilet, unusual surprise! Clean, secured, excellent restaurant on premises, definitely worth a try.

Getting yourself into hot water isnt always a bad thing, especially at Carson Hot Springs. The mineral-laden water here has erased aches and pains for hundreds of years.Whether your time here is spent in the main pool, the sauna, or one of the private baths, the one thing youll regret the most is having to leave. And dont forget to ask about their discount cards. Your body and your wallet will thank you for it.

Brie cheese sandwiches. Belly dancers on premise. The waiter was amazing. The one place in town that is always fun, spirited and great food. Bit dont tell anyone... The place was packed full.

The water is great but unfortunately when we visited there were no shade in the pool area. Also, the constitution was still ongoing so most likely this place would become much better in few months time. We still enjoyed the visit with our family and relatives.

This place is a work in progress. Used to be nice and simple but now they are making a lot of changes. Some are good like the bathrooms remodeled and adding pools by end of summer. That means prices rise. The outdoor spa was pretty murky and jets were not working. Kids can also go in the hot spa tub now which used to be nice for adults to chill for a bit. At least they are improving the place. Just rough going there, especially on weekends now. But busy is good so they can make improvements. Just need to clean outdoor spas more. Private rooms went up a bit also but are still a great option.

Great place. Spend almost 4 hours in and out of the big warm pool. No chemicals, no mixing with tap water - cooling by fountain :) Clean and friendly. I wish this place was closer to home. Worth a drive from South Lake Tahoe, if you enjoy hot springs :)

I went early on Christmas day and it was great. I love theirs private rooms for a warmer soak.

Place is fine,better dont buy private room,it doesnt cost it,just go to public pool and have fun,the water temperature is perfect and staff is friendly.

This is the place to meet up with friends and take a great soak. Be careful of the sun or you could get sunburned while enjoying the springs. I buy a 10 time pass and come at least once a month.

Was thinking about going - havent been in a long time. but sister informed me you can no longer bring in food or drinks, nor can you go out to your vehicle and come back in without paying again. their purpose in doing this is so people wont stay too long. sucks, used to be a good place to go.

My 1st time here..reasonable prices. Family friendly. You can bring in your snacks and drinks.( No alchohol). Or they sell drinks and snacks. Clean restrooms. It is under construction but open. I will definitely make another trip here.

I like the place. I wish the big pool was more of a cool off and the smaller saunas a bit hotter but Im happy to have a hot spring close by.

Great private rooms each has a different temperature so you can choose the temp you like. Outdoor pool to kick back and relax. Definitely a family friendly place too.
