Honestly Im really disappointed in this place this year. Normally they are all in for Halloween and the most amazing things with some good prices. My mom and I have a tradition to go the beginning of every October. This year, not only are there prices absolutely ridiculous!! But they didnt even have a full aisles... they had 3 aisles empty for Christmas!!

I found just about everything I need to make a Halloween wreath. I just started the wreath, I have much more to add. Cant wait for the end product. Its going to be a Jack Skeleton wreath. Update on 9/12/2019, I completed the wreath for my daughter house. What a fun project. 90% of the items were purchased at Michaels.

Less people than hobby lobby. Its one of the OGs of craft stores. Lowering the rating though sending people all the way to Reno? Temporarily closed they had a lot of customers out front today. Oddly they stood around waiting as if it was going to open after I left. Probably did though things like that happen. Lights were on the second door was open. Yeah Just not feeling it. Brought my mother here hoping she could find an activi to do. Although it just isnt what it use to be. Its a shame.

Nice store, organized well stocked well

I was looking for a few types of beads. The sign by the beads said 40% off or buy 5 and get 70% off. I had a hand full. Someone came by to remove the signs since it stopped yesterday. They honored the price sign since it was up when I selected my beads. I also got more off because of coupons on the website. Always check it.

I love this store because they carry really neat home decor and I used to spend a ton of money there because they always had great sales but recently it seems their prices on things have gone way up and nothing is ever on sale. I’m sad but I won’t buy anymore

Discount for teachers and inexpensive items for Valentines day

I have spent about 5k here since Halloween. My family and I had to start from scratch and were blessed with enough to get our holidays on. Everytime we shopped here, customers were making nasty remarks about what we spent and how much we bought. The associated never ask them to back up when we were checked out. Although, Kimberly and another lady was very kind to us and just talked about the fun wed have. The younger ladies are rude and lazy. Many of our items were damaged during check out. And the last young lady to check me out had rung up several items twice. I caught it once and found more when I got home. I dont know if Ill be back here. Shopping online is much more preferable to being around this mess. The younger ones were even gossiping about how much I bought and spent. Its VERY rude. I am considering returning everything and going elsewhere just off the principal. The tree we bought here was not out together well. Strands of the needles were not cut properly and were unraveled, the brown fibers for the branch were clumped up and looked like wads of hair on the branch, the tree doesnt fluff up nice like the picture and there was a screw missing on a branch. Luckily my husband caught that and fixed it before it fell on our 1 year old. I thought that these guys would appreciate someone shopping here and spending money. Thats better bonuses and pay for them. I will only shop Michaels online from now on and I may be back in just for my returns. I really hate the experience of shopping here. And I shouldnt have to explain but I had to leave an abuser. We started from nothing. Its nobodies business what money I spend or why or what. Its not. Honestly, they should have just been grateful for the revenue that came in.

The Carson City, NV Michaels store was not crowdedb rather I noticed a constant flow of people entering. Lines move quickly and not unusual to see all 5 registers open. The inventory was neat, fully stocked and messy as busier CA stores. The staff was very willing to help and appreciated their efforts during the 4 times i visited over 2 weeks. They also have a huge class room for the classes they conduct. ENJOY!

For the most part, I like this store. It is pretty well organised, the staff is friendly fly and the store itself is easy to access. The problem is the prices, if tbey are not having a sale, then they are about twice as expensive as other places are for the same items. Still, their sales and coupons make it worth shopping there, particularly for craft supplies such as markers and pencils, colour books and paints.The lines usually arent long so the wait time isnt too bad and the aisles are wide enough for a wheelchair to comfortably fit. Overall, it is a pretty good place to go.

If youve.craftsor imagine you might, then Michaels is the place for you! Ive had a number of pieces of art framed there. Martha is talented and experienced. Ask for her. This is written September of 2018. So many other good reasons to visit and express your creativity via Michaels.

Michaels isnt what it used to be. When I was a kid I could browse the model car and plane kids while mom shopped. Now they hardly have any so I have nothing to do while my wife shops. The store is clean and well staffed, so it seems to be weathering the brick and mortar apocalypse well enough.

Although I love to shop at Michaels I was very disappointed that you do not give discounts on some of your art and crafts materials, I bought a huge coloring book and I could not use my 50% off coupon, very sad

I love Michaels Crafts!!! There is so many fun things to get and design! The best part is every week they have a new coupon that everyone has access too print out! Michaels has everything that you can probably think of from paint supplies and scrapbooking materials, to fake plants and picture frames!! There is a framing center located in the back that will frame your photos for a fee. Michaels carries adult coloring books and so many awesome little trinkets!!!

I really enjoy going to this store. The staff are always ready to help when Im lost or cant find what I need. The store is always clean and I almost never see random stuff on the shelves. Prices are on point and sales always visible! Thanks for being on your A game!

Prob the biggest store in town with biggest selection of machines, apparel and parts. The last two times I was there the parts guy had no clue what i was talking about. No experience and no knowledge at that parts counter. Better off buying parts myself online.

Im not a crafty guy but do occasionally need something you cant buy and have to make. The staff was helpful in finding an odd request (sealing wax) cause evidently you cant just melt crayons. Items are a little on the expensive side but maybe it falls into the cheap is a disease category.

This was the only store in town that had the little Polaroid cameras that were all the rage at Christmas. They also had a great deal on it plus a free pack of film when I bought the camera, so I am glad I ended up here for my purchase.

Always clean. Always friendly people once you engage them. Sometimes finding someone to help isnt easy, but its a big store with many aisles, no big deal. I usually end up finding three more things I didnt know I needed while I look for help.

My daughter and I literally spend over an hour there every time we go. There is just so much to look at and its so fun.

Nice store, plenty of options, but understaffed severely. If you have a question is almost impossible to find an employee that isnt busy. They are very friendly though considering they are over worked.

Although I usually love this store and my dad really loved it, I was very disappointed today when I went to shop looking for particular items. The first thing I was looking to buy was supplies for my bullet journaling, which Included journals. The first thing I noticed was, there is no real organization to the store and was going up and down every isle which was really wasting a lot of time. That lead me to look for some help in customer service and I was shocked to find, that I was completely on my own! No one around to help at all!! The selection of journals although advertised was ridiculously very little and nothing there that was advertised by commercial or paper advertisement and online. I picked up what I could as I traveled the isles. I found one particular journal on the opposite side of the store where it didnt belong which I was happy to find, but in the area of sewing and latchhooks which made no sense whatsoever! They were good priced and I was relieved at that. In other supplies I needed, I realized I needed some help and finally found several customer service people in that side of the store, but not the other. I asked for cross stitch while I was in that area and two of the store personnel had no idea where any of it was. The third person who was obviously a lead, was rushing and rude and told me there wasnt much of a selection and I said but this is Michaels? She informed me that what I was looking for was no longer in style and referenced age, which was insulting! She pointed to a section on the other side of where we standing and continued to walk away from me, when she knew I had other questions.. I ended up not buying that as I was frustrated with my shopping experience and the prices being so expensive, I stopped with what I had and went to the register which the isle for that was not clearly marked . I told the customer service cashier girl, that I thought store personnel could be a little more familiar with their store in regards to knowing where things are and also, not being rushed or insulted by a higher up person. That if they are going to advertise products, they should be in the store and not be told they dont carry them. You are a store that specializes in these type of products for goodness sakes! The customer service was awful and not knowledgeable about the store set up or products. You can clearly tell why, with no organization really. Isles should be clearly marked with signs of what are included in those isles and be organized by type of supplies. I was looking forward to shopping there today and I left feeling annoyed and disappointed and only a few of the supplies I was looking for. Thank God for Amazon and other online related shopping areas. You can do better than this Michaels.

Great selection and awesome customer service. The cashier let my 3 year old help put the groceries in the bag. Prices arent cost effective sometimes, but I found some great stuff on clearance and everything looks quality.

A real disappointment if you are looking for art supplies. It’s the only place that sells ANY within a 50 mile radius of South Lake Tahoe, and given that, you might think they would keep their shelves stocked and provide a good range of products for artists. You would be wrong. Limited stock, very little variety, limited quality, high prices. VERY high prices. Their “rewards” program is a joke. Customer service depends on the day, but If you drive 40 miles to buy watercolor paper, you shouldn’t be told that they are rearranging the stock and you will have to come back another time. I am certain that they are missing an opportunity, but given any more time no one will bother to drive over the hill, and online retailers will win the entire market.They are even less competitive online.If you are thinking of picture frames, now that they own Aaron Brothers you would think you could get some quality, readymade frames in popular sizes. The quality of their readymade frames is appalling, cheap materials, split corners, peeling finishes, it’s primarily laminated MDF or plastic. And much too expensive for that. Even Walmart does a better job on gallery frames.If you are a papercrafter, they no longer carry a decent assortment of cardstock, only one brand, and that’s not Bazzill They have stopped stocking Silhouette products, accessories and machines.And one more time-very expensive. Do not believe that their coupons are a good deal- they just make their prices a little higher than online retailers. To buy anything without a coupon is a joke, you have to know you are paying at least 25% more than regular price.

No help at checkout. Went in for a 2oz bottle of paint spent 45 minutes in a line waiting to pay. Ridiculous not a busy time 230 on a weekday. 1 cashier and several walking around doing what appears to be nothing. Wake up there are people there buying things

For art supplies it is okay. More of a crafting store. Michaels is high priced on a lot of items. Sad this is the only decent place to buy art supplies in this area. Staff is friendly, store is clean. Paper supply for art works is very limited.
