Nice facility and in my opinion it is well worth the membership cost. If your even remotely interested I would suggest visiting and find out for yourself.

Great parking lot inhabited by a clean community of all ages. Dog park, decent sized parking lot, clean bathrooms and a lot of space for indoor/outdoor sports activities or enjoying a simple cup of coffee.If you can keep it clean, respectable and civilized then you shouldnt meet any problems.Be a great gypsy. Sweet little park. Everything is updated and in great condition. Theres cush AstroTurf, multiple slides, swings, and even musical instruments.

The rec center is incredible. I used it as a kid 20 years ago and didnt realize what I had then. The improvements since make an even better deal, especially for the price. Way to go Carrollton!

After the upgrades to the playground nobody thought about lights for after dark. With the heat as bad as its been we like to go when its getting dark but you cant see ANYTHING. But, just on the other side of the rec center the dog park is lit up like a football stadium. Its like our kids arent important enough.

Nice place to work out, a lot of activities you can do, clean and good prices for single or families.

They need more machines, but other than that they have what you need. Pick your workout times carefully as it can get very crowded in there.If it bothers you, it is a family oriented place that always has events going on. Most notably, they have a serious gymnastics presence.They also have basketball and racketball if that is your thing.The staff has always been very pleasant helpful.

This is a nice family oriented recreation center that offers something for everyone. The staff is always fantastic in the mornings.

The bomb! Has lots of things to do.

If youre a resident of Carrollton then its worth the money. Plenty of cardio machines and good enough weight room. Theres a few basketball/multi-purpose courts, racket ball courts, and the 3 major table games which include pool, foos ball, and ping pong. They also have plenty of TVs including a big screen in the lobby. Great family environment and great for single adults.

Its overly crowded. Basketball courts are busy with adults games. I would not join. Rec center is inviting teams to occupy the facility. In return regular members have minimal use of facility. The young teens use bad words in gyms.

My son enjoys going to play basketball when they have open play.

Good fitness classes, nice staff

The recreation center is a nice place for the residents of Carrollton. The water park is right behind it, which is convenient. There is a lot to do there for young people. The basketball gym is big and has multiple hoops. It is located on Rosemeade which makes it tucked away but still easy to find. There is also a dog park on the outside of the rec center.

I need to get in better condition. There are a few options in the area. This was the best option for me to get started.

I enjoy taking water aerobics classes at the outdoor pool in the summer. The instructor, Jill Sullivan, is great!I also bring my dog to the dog park. It is nice and clean. The pet parents are friendly and the dogs are well behaved.

Its a good place for everyone to exercise!

Im not a local to the area but for 8$ or so to get in, I wish I did live closer. The two diving boards was nice, the amount of tables, swim areas and overall quality is great.

My daughters friend had a birthday party here. Nice clean establishment and friendly staff.

Decent rec center with a lot of different activities from racquetball to ping pong, basketball etc. The gym has a lot of different machines to work out and the cardio room has a variety machines as well. The staff are also helpful.

I love coming here to workout. It’s clean, staff is friendly and it not crowded.

It had great price with a variety of activity to do for little kids to seniors

$150 a year for 4 people gets you a weight room, cardio, 2 basketballs gyms, racket ball court. Dance studio. Gym has all the equipment you need. It can get crowded around 5pm and will have to wait for equipment to be free. I gave it a 4 stars because the gym could use an additional squat rack or hack squat machine and some better back exercise equipment

Love working out here! Always clean and organized. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The membership is way cheaper than other gyms around the area.

Excellent facilities for kids and adults. Plenty of sit-down space around most of the pools, though the shaded areas are occupied quickly. Some food selection, however, its ballpark fare. The lifeguards are well-managed and do a great job of staying vigilant.

I have been a member of the rec center for 2 years now. Although somewhat dated, it is an affordable alternative to a gym membership. Residents of Carrollton pay only $95/year. With that being said, you get what you pay for. Equipment is sometimes broken, and takes a little while to get fixed. However I do not mind, because of the money I am saving, convenient location, and friendly staff.

Great place for the kids!

The pool facilities are top notch! My wife and I love to come here to swim laps, sun bathe and ride the slides. The giant water bucket is our favorite and it dumps water every minute and a half!

Has all the basic stuff you need and since this is a community gym its diverse and not intimidating.

My family takes our puppy to the dog park at the Rosemeade rec center. It is clean and well maintained and has a separate area for large and small dogs. Our dog always enjoys it here. However I do feel there are more toy/play options on the large dog side.

Always been a great spot, even growing up remembering having a good. Havent been a while but I heard it has been renovated and is already pretty nice as I remember in fact this makes you want to go back

Very clean; weight room is busy in afternoons but has wide selection of weight stations; huge cardio room including row machines; surrounding park and dog park are really nice. Highly recommended!

Good place to play football, nice place for walking too

Cheap like $150 a year or so for a family of four!! Indoor basketball courts, racket ball courts, a wide variety of exercise equipment and machines, and weight work out machines as well as free weight lifting ( bar bells etc ). Many additional programs you can enroll in that are very reasonably priced.

Nice, clean and friendly staff, but I wish they would open earlier on the weekends. It would be nice if they opened at 5:30am the same as the weekdays.

I love that they built a dog park attached to the rec center. We take our dogs here alot bc we stay in apts and the dogs love it. They have a doggie bags for poop and its a nice clean park.

Carrollton is the best. Rec Center has affordable classes for my kids.

Great new equipment, no high pressure sales people, and very reasonably priced... Oh and its only blocks away. Ill never join another gym.

I go here every weekend for basketball practice and the place is really nice

The various pools are nice. There are lap pools, a small lazy river, diving boards, a volleyball net/pool, water slides & a nice baby pool. The bathroom was dirty & not well maintained. There was no soap in the only soap dispenser. There was no paper towels & I couldnt get the automatic hand dryer to work.

Had a great time there with my family and my niece and nephew! They loved it and I was able to see them go down the water slide from the lazy river. They have multiple pools you can swim in and I saw people with coolers that they had brought in! Lots of places to sit and plenty of tables.

Nice place, not giant like some but perfect so you can watch your doggie. Majority of people are nice but every once in awhile you get some people who are not so great.

Has the amenities expected in a rec center. The staff , however need to understand the meaning of customer service. They were more interested in their phones that actual service..

This is a great place to get in shape. Very few lunks. Avoid late afternoon unless you enjoy unsupervised kids who love to cuss. I wonder if that Carrollton charter school pays the city to provide after school care. I guess thats one way for the school to increase profits.

Fun fun fun fun funnnnn ... for the whole entire family and village ... albeit extremely crowded on summer weekends (as expected). Parkings a bi*** (hence the 4 *s)! But totally worth it!

Great variety for a very cheap price! You can borrow life vests and volleyballs for free. Even cheaper if youre local.

Great place in the city that has since its opening entertained northeasts carrollton for quite some time.Dedicated, friendly staff that take care of the building and equipment hosting basketball courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, a large dog park, an aquatic family center.A wide range of exercise equipment for any and all types of workouts, treadmils, weight training, cycling rooms, classes, ping pong, racquetball, volleyball, and even more!It functions as a complete gym with lockers, showers, and restrooms.

Enjoy the recreation center. Would like to see better monitoring of people bringing food & drinks into the racquetball courts.

I have been going here for years and they have made improvements, but they have neglected the racquetball courts. They need to resurface floors, fix wall seams around doors/glass walls, frost bottom third/half of back glass walls and provide cleaning materials (large push broom and cleaning spray) for players to clean floors.

A good time was had at the dog park this morning.

My daughter takes gymnastics at this recreation center and has for a little over 1 year. The coach is fantastic and I cant say enough good things about her coaching abilities and her relationship with the kids. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of this coach! There always seems to be confusion with payment and the staff is pretty young so they frequently are confused. As a parent that is on a time schedule, this is a bit frustrating. Overall, the gym is well kept and everyone is friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

Warning: Its a great gym, but just stay clear from this lady name Kerry Stallo. Shes a personal trainer there apprently and is extremely rude. I am at the gym and she tells me in front of everyone to get out cause its not a place for “day dreaming.” Tell me privately if at all. You dont own the place lady. You are just a contractor there. Stop strutting around like you are the boss of the place.

Sure the Rec Center can be a good place to work out, but playing on the teams was the worst experience of my life. Ive played on plenty of good teams with this place and have had a good time but this last coach I had shouldnt be there. He didnt speak English and always had a translator which wasnt much of a problem until he started showing favoritism towards those who only spoke Spanish as well. He started shaping the team around only them. This last game he picked all the good players and put them on a team together and excluded everyone else. Although EVERYONE is paying to play and be there the coach sat everyone else on the sidelines. Everyone else is done.. Not playing. he said. That is definitely the LAST TIME I EVER play anything at the Carrollton Recreation Center.
