Beautiful scenery that is ever-changing due to the climate...sun/fog, high/low tide. look for Herons, Egrets, Osprey, Hawks, Ducks, Rabbit, jumping fish, Bat rays, leopard sharks ...every day is an odyssey.

Great place to visit the beach. Mellow waters for ocean swimming or letting the kids play in the water. Kayak and stand up board rentals. Get there early as parking fills up pretty quick during summer months.

Best Secret in Ventura dog beach one hour from valencia seal sanctuary etc.

What is with the no dogs or bikes? . I guess if it werent for the fact that those restrictions are completely ignored , I would just avoid the place. Its nice that they recovered the formerly drained swamp back its original configuration, but the various bizarre rules make it pretty uninviting.
