Great seats!! You just can’t go wrong with leather power reclining seats in a movie theatre. The food is high but all theatres are high. We bring a few snacks in our pockets to munch on and enjoy the show.Glad the seats were updated to high grade they really do make it very enjoyable!!

Great place and comfy seats. My glasses fell in between the seats and the attendant cleaning up after the movie was extremely helpful in retrieving them for me. It took him about 5 minutes to fish them out and I appreciate that he kept trying for me! Thanks for going the extra mile.

5 stars for the seating. Most theaters have seats that are comfy and may rock back a bit. This theaters seats go above and beyond. They are super soft and have a power recline function that is a bit tricky to get into the perfect angle but once you do its pure bliss. Seriously, I want some for home.If you want the best view get your tickets early. You choose your seat when you buy the ticket.

Modern AMC with recliner seats and 8 screens. Be prepared to mortgage your house if you want popcorn and a drink. This theater also has a small bar with a few taps. Assigned seating in the recliners, and they arent exactly spacious. Not bad if youre with a significant other, but can be awkward if sharing with a husky friend.

Pretty pricey, and I could hear the movie playing in the theater next to us. However they do have comfortable seats, and alcohol if you can afford it. But its the only show in town..... See ya there!

Make sure the movie you are planning on going to see is a good one, because the chairs in this theater are so comfy that you might just find yourself waking up at the end of the movie, hahaha. Great place, great snacks and a great place to have a family or friends day at the movies.

We always have a great time, even if the movie isnt. The staff is always attentive and it is a very clean theater. We love the big cushy seats!

We had seats next to the doors. Unfortunately, no one came around to close the doors of our theatre or the one next to us until about halfway through the movie and we kept hearing the other movies every sound. Otherwise, this place is pretty nice.

Dont do the amc Premier option . it isnt worth it. It allows up yo 3 free movies a week. Problem is they dont show enough different movies to make this worth it. And the Premier line is supposed to allow you to get VIP service but that is also not true. You have to wait your turn just like everyone

Very clean, everyone was nice. I love the reclining seats, it is very comfortable. The only thing I wish was different was the temperature. It was freezing. When I saw other people walking in with blankets, I knew I was in trouble. I was glad I brought my jacket in.

This movie theater is awesome. The seats are amazing, the portions are crazy, and, of course, the movie selections are always a blast. I have a few personal gripes with this particular theater myself, like the adjustment button on the chairs being in a weird spot and causing my thigh to press it unless I sit a very specific way, but thats a personal problem that I wont hold them accountable for. Always my go to theater to catch the latest movies.

I love this movie theater. Before visiting, I had never seen automatically reclining seats like the ones they have here. Theyre really comfortable and I greatly enjoy them. Often, I will bring a blanket to the movies for maximum comfort.In addition to the comfortable seats, I like that they have $5 Ticket Tuesdays, which allows college students like me to go to the movies more often. On Tuesdays they also have discounted popcorn and beverages, I believe. There is a bar inside, as well.This movie theater is always clean. It makes it easier that you can reserve your seats online or in the app when you buy the tickets, too.

Took my kids to see the new dragons rider of been movie. I loved that the seats reclined and made watching the movie very enjoyable. I will be taking my kids to see a lot more movies at this theater. The staff was all very professional and the offer the adults alcoholic beverages if you really want or need a break during the movie. You can also order snacks through there app and they will bring it to you whenever you want. Very excellent experience.

They have comfortable recliners (not cloth) and delicious popcorn. They do serve beer and some food. They have just released movies.

We love this theater now that its been upgraded to comfy, oversized lounge chairs with a reclining function. What we dont like so much, is that if a movie is even remotely popular - you MUST purchase tickets online to get a seat, thus, paying an extra fee. Snacks are pricey - but havent been to a theater yet where they werent...

This is one of the absolute worst experiences I’ve ever experienced with a movie business. I highly advise you not to offer your money to such an awful business. Specifically a shorter brunette lady, was especially rude to us and threatened to kick us out of the theater for not being 17. If I’m the manager of this business, I would honestly consider losing this crazy lady. She is very detrimental to your sales and will continue to lose money for your business.

They charge $40 dollars for 2 people to watch a movie on a wrinkly screen that also had a hole. Would reccomend a different theater for a quality experience.

Visited for the first time since theyve renovated the theaters. The lounging chairs are comfortable and while I guess this is the future of theaters, part of me didnt want to feel like I was in my own living room. One of the reasons I go to the theater is to have a group experience, and they have literally halved the audience that can attend each showing. Snack bar is average and I see that they now offer bar service, but again, this is not my thing and Im not sure I want drunk people interrupting the movies.

I saw 21 Bridges and it was a excellent movie filled with lots of action!!! Very nice theater with power leather reclining seats!!! They even have a bar in the lobby !!!

Usually get great service but bought our tickets at the kiosk and no indication or warning that our Stubs membership had expired. Got to the concession stand spent another $50 on food/drinks and then found out that our Stubs membership had expired had reverted back to a free account so NO credit towards future purchases after spending about $90! and all she could say was someone should have told us before and that we could renew it online! So I guess you dont renew on the spot so credit could be counted for today???? NOT HAPPY!!!

Like everything else, prices are rising. Things like Stubs club and other membership programs can help but, ultimately, going to the movies can get expensive. That out of the way... This theater is newly renovated offering all of the amenities that a theater of a much larger city would offer. Food is always fresh and the quality is what you would expect. To be honest, thinking of all the experiences that I have had with staff, they have all been fantastic. We all know that a job at the theaters cant pay incredibly well so thinking of the fact that Ive never seen unhappy/angry/apathetic staff actually comes as a welcome surprise.Comfortable reclining seats with foot rests are a definite plus and theres never a bad seat anywhere due to the arrangement of rows. This is definitely the best theater experience in Southern Illinois.

The seats are the best! You might want to bring a blanket though, I was freezing cold! Still very pricey but we had a blast even though the movie we watched was kinda dumb. Oh and I loved the assigned seating.

Its pretty nice of course its pricey but if you get a AMC stubs card they have $5 Tuesdays and discounts on other items. It is always cold in there though. A lot of people bring blankets.

I love coming here to watch movies its very friendly and great stuff to choose from and the AMC membership is worth it when you can watch multiple movies in a whole week especially those deals.

Best theater in town! Reclining seats, bar, and you can butter your own popcorn. Weve signed up for the a list rewards program and it has saved us a ton because we go so often.

Extremely comfortable seats. Dont ever get concessions since, well, they are expensive anywhere. If you do get concessions however, they are not bad. They also serve food and alcohol so thats great.

Very comfortable and clean atmosphere. The recliners are a very nice addition to the remodel. The prices are pretty fair for a movie theater; I have definitely seen worse. The only complaint I really have is that the drink machines were almost out of everything good to drink.

Only theater we go to anymore. Chairs make even longest movies comfortable. There’s a bar (we don’t drink but it’s an option). Everyone complains about concession prices but if they looked it up, that’s how theaters make money-NOT FROM TICKETS. Staff has ALWAYS been super friendly, professional & helpful.

It was redone with new seating. The seats recline and are pretty comfortable compared to most theater seats. However, the temperature is never comfortable, you sweat in the summer and freeze in the winter, so dress accordingly. The sound proofing also isnt great. We have heard explosions form neighboring movies in the past.

Bathroom stools are to low to ground no rails need to put some in stalls. 1917 not as good as I thought it would be

I go there pretty often and the service is always really nice, the theaters are clean, the seats are comfortable though I tend to accidentally bump the button to recline the chair due to having things in my pocket. Buying tickets at the counter is usually quick and the same goes for concessions.

Reclining chairs, good screen, and good sound. I saw a movie in this theater recently, I could slightly hear the bass of the theater next to me when it got really loud but it was not enough to bother me.

The service was great. But even though there are leather recliner seats you cant really enjoy them it was freezing in theater 5. Dont forget to bring a jacket or keep your coat on. Went see Widows... Good story not enough action.

Im an A- list member, so I see the movies for free, (beyond the $20 a month fee) so Im there at least twice a week. The staff is always super friendly. The theaters are clean with the seats in working order. Im going to keep my membership and keep coming as long as they let me.

The recliners are very comfortable! You buy an assigned seat. Screens are nice. Bathrooms are clean. Nice snack selection. It has a BAR! Offers Real 3D. Overall a very nice theater. But bring a sweater. Like most theaters its very cold.

Even though the AMC theater in the University Mall has closed (the other one) this one the University Place 8 theater is still open. The names may throw ya off but this is the one still operating. Choice of the normal concessions or a bar for adult beverages. I do like their assigned reclining seats. You get to pick where you would like to sit before you even get there and your seat will be waiting on you. Seats are generally cleaned but I do take a wipe just in case, just me.

I wont be patronizing this theater anymore. My husband and I ordered tickets online for a movie got there and people were sitting in our seats, we asked the manager to have the patrons sit in the correct seats and she said just sit elsewhere which we could not do because it was a sold out movie and there were no seats left so they had to rearrange everybody in the middle of the movie for the latecomers ....Completely incompetant and unprofessional staff.

The seats are comfortable ability to recline and navigation to the seats is also easy. The little LED lights help you identify seats easily

Very comfortable & cozy inside the theaters. Food & drink is over-priced as expected & ticket prices have risen as the comfort & higher level experience has. Over-all the prices didnt matter because my experience was wonderful!

The newer seats are too tall for a person under 56 to be able to put their feet on the floor if they dont want to recline. I didnt feel like reclining in the giant chair and my only other option was to sit there with my legs dangling. I just wanted a regular seat. My friend and I also really disliked the self-serve ticket machine that they have now because we didnt get to choose our seats once inside the theater. Thats one of the things that makes going to a movie more fun, getting to choose your seat and AVOID sitting next to a lot of people! We ended up sitting in between a lot of people in our row and the outer seats were empty. I wanted to find a regular seat without people snoring/coughing all around me but didnt see any regular seats. If I had, were we allowed to move to them? These new changes SUCK in my opinion! Please bring back regular seats and being allowed to choose your seats INSIDE the theater!
