We visited while on vacation. This was my sons pick for a place to visit because he loves anything to do with History especially War History. The kids all loved doing the scavenger hunt and they all got a prize to. The employees here are amazing. This place was a hidden gem... the work that was put into this small museum is outstanding and even us whom dont have much interest in the subject of military history loved every minute of it.

To fully experience the museum you have to be prepared to spend a few hours here. Theres just that much to see. I did a solo tour, but I did speak with one of the guides briefly and he was friendly and quite knowlegable about the various artifacts throughout the museum. Admission is free, so theres no reason not to visit.

Went for the Christmas event where they so generously gave a big bag of toys for our daughter to unwrap on Christmas. After serving for our freedom, the veterans just keep on serving. Say a prayer and give thanks to each & EVERY VETERAN. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR GENEROSITY & GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. Merry Christmas

This small museum is full of items from various wars, uniforms from over a century, have a dining area and library. They even sell books! My favorite part were the artifacts and the exetremely friendly veterans who happily greeted us as we entered. They also have a kid coloring book that includes a scavenger hunt. This definitely helped make this a fun learning adventure for our 10 year old son. Our entire family learned so many things and we had a blast. This will always be one of our stops if we are in the Fort Myers area. It educational, fun, and free. Highly recommend!!!!

For me, this place was a little ramshackle. There were some interesting things but military history is a broad subject. Everything felt sort of thrown together.Lots of mannequins in uniforms. A very sullen Lincoln who appeared to be having a bad day with a flustered Mary Todd was something I found rather amusing.

History before your eyes. If the school systems wont teach kids about history properly, take them so they can learn why men would fight and die for this country. It is really interesting to see weapons of war, and period photos...really interesting for me personally I had uncles that fought in WWII and it was nice to see history preserved. Just waiting for the day that some crackpot gets all offended and tries to have things removed because it offends them...just sayin...very happy this place is here as a memory to the men and women who died serving their country. Thank you for your service...

Was very professional and volunteers who work there know everything about the items tell amazing stories because most are past veterans. Museum is free, which is nice as it runs off donations. If your a history buff you could be in there for about a hour to a hour and a half, just a family or someone looking for something to do to pass about 30 or 45 mins take a walkthrough and see all the displays

This is a very interesting place to visit if your interested in real military items. They have many areas set up with freak uniforms that were worn, medals all sorts of military items to name a few. There are also veterans who hang out at the coffee area chatting about old times, they are friendly and often happy to share a story or two if you have time to listen. At Christmas they gather toys for the kids to come in and pick out. When Scholl starts they gather school supplies for children whose parents need extra help supplying all the children require for school. Its definitely education.

This museum and the organization behind it are one of the highest shining institutions in preserving our nations often toughest history for future generations; while also serving as a center for veterans particularly of the Vietnam and older crowd. Though the group has and continues to grow among the current and Iraq/Afghan generations. Having started from a room smaller than many locals master bedrooms it has grown over the last several years into the leading HQ and center for veterans and teaching in the community. I say this with intimate knowledge of the men (past and present) whos determination, comraderie, and patriotism saw this through not earning anything to advance their own quality of life, but out of the love and sense of duty that each sergeant or officer feels towards his men and each sailor, airman, marine, or soldier does for their buddy fighting by their side. That we wont let them down. And for those truest of heroes to sacrifice their lives: We Shall Not Forget

While on vacation recently in Naples Florida I was looking for some place to visit of interest to me such as military historical sites. We used Google and found this place. After a short drive we arrived outside what appears to be a former grocery store. The first thing that catches my eye is a large sign about the Military Order of the Purple Heart. As we entered there is military memorabilia of all branches apparent everywhere.A gentleman in a wheel chair greets us and welcomes us. Hands me a red folder and begins an explanation of the museum. Exceptionally friendly Veterans and folks at the ready we begin to walk.I am blown away by what I encountered.Starting at exhibit #1 and walking around, at every turn is another experience. Thousands and thousands of pieces displayed, from all wars and conflicts from our military history. We were lucky enough to attract a member who took the time to walk with us and give us a oral history and answer our multitude of questions. The highlight for me was viewing the two Medal of Honor displays.Every branch of our military is represented in a very friendly way and its easy to get overwhelmed by the time and energy that was placed into this great place to visit. My impression is this, if your looking for a professional muesuem then this is not the place for you, but if your looking for a down to earth, honest and friendly folks with a tremendous respect for our military and displays of the lives of men and women who have been there, done that then this is the place to go.Its free and open to the public and while your there , visit the gift shop.I am a USMC Veteran.
