As a high school golf coach, I cant thank Palmetto-Pine Country Club enough for letting our boys and girls golf teams use them as our home course each fall. Their staff is top notch and have been great with our kids over the years.Aside from the great staff, the course is in great shape and the improvements that have been made to the course and facilities in the last year are amazing. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend checking them out!

Palmetto-Pine Country Club Restaurant, SW 9th Ct., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is some chatter and my 2 cents on the food.First chatter...My first observation is that there was no ID of where the restaurant was. 2nd they allowed anyone to park and take up more than one space in the handicapped area.When I enter I was greeted warmly and enthusiastically.It was very nicely decorated.The lunch menu was very limited to just wraps, salad and a burger or so.I was able to get a cherry coke made. Thank you.I got the house burger, medium rare, with cole slaw that is made with apricots of all things.I do like cooks to experiment with traditional items, in this case it fails. It was not very sweet nor very salty. Just blaahhh. I saw some apricot but just pass.Plus on the recommendation of my server I got the potato soup. It had cheese & bacon on top. It tasted like a liquid baked potato. Good and interesting.Now the burger. I tried to like it but could not.It was cooked to medium rare. It was served on those awful brioche buns. When they get wet they fall apart.Plus the grilled was not properly cleaned ( I have worked in a kitchen I know). I tasted the burnt parts from the grill not being clean with water.I also got a small raspberry mousse for dessert, delightful.But the thing that got me MOST mad was the bill.They automatically have the nerve to add a gratuity to my bill. I was not given the option of how much to give my waitress. ( note: she deserved 20%).When asked the server, she stated she has no control over this plus she waits 2 weeks to get the taxed money.This is obscene of BIG BROTHER. It is more the principle than money.For this reason alone. I will never be back.

Very poor attitude by employee in pro shop, acted like I was doing a favor by just showing up with no tee time, when going online you are charged an extra fee, so I preferred to just show up. Then was told play front nine twice, which was not mentioned online either. Ill prefer to play another course then be treated like that, might as well go back to private course with attitude like that..I wont be back

Wow! What an amazing transformation this course has gone through. The money and work they have put into this is evident on every hole. This has to be one of the best public access tracks in Cape Coral. I cannot give enough props to the maintenance staff for the shape of the facility, also the professional staff has done a great job of straightening up just about everything I could have once complained about. Again just wow, if you played it in the past you gotta to give it another try! And if your just looking for something new this is going to be a great day on the links.

Palmetto Pines is by far the best course to play at in Cape Coral. The service and management is unmatched. In addition to that, the course has had some major upgrades in the past years and it now looks better than ever. Would highly recommend playing here!

Havent played this course in over a year it was in terrible shape. Decided to check it ou today and see the renovations. I was very impressed course was in really good shape and the greens were rid of all the cancer they used to have. Will definitely go back to playing palmetto often.

I am a parent of a local high school golfer. For years, two schools have played and practiced there matches at Palmetto Pines. It looks like this year the course will not be made available. High school sports like bowling, golf, cross country, tennis, swim depend on local businesses, city parks, and local golf course for charitable donations of time and facilities to make help our students. We hope that the new golf pro takes into consideration that no other team is charged and reconsiders letting the teams play.

Great condition, friendly service a lot of amenities fair rate. Will definitely play here again, what a wonderful find on vacation here in Cape Coral.

The course was in amazing shape beautiful setting challenging course the staff couldnt have been more accommodating what a wonderful experience and a great time golfing

Sunday brunch was great including eggs cooked to order. Place was clean and staff was very attentive. Food and drinks were priced appropriately and we felt it was a good value for what they had. We have been there before as we live close by. We havent been in a while but we were pleasantly surprised with some changes they made since the last time we were there to the brunch offerings and the mimosas (you get a split of Preseco with a small carafe of OJ and a champagne flute to mix your own) and the Bloody Mary was delicious. We definitely will go back soon.

The course is Beautiful. Tons of money has been poured into it. Awesome.

I played here last Monday, unbelievable the amount of positive changes I see going on.Thousands of dollars being invested in this course, new concrete paths, lots of labor intensive plant removal, sodding of fairways where needed, etc. And this all being done during a time (pandemic), where play has lessened. Usually less income equals less quality, but not in this case. Course is about 3 good rains away from being the best it can be. And this applies to all courses in this area.They are also very good at making it a safe place to play during this time.CheersDan Magruder

Great shape but a little over priced compared to other courses in the area and for this time of year. They were also encouraging people to double up in carts which no one else has been doing because of the coronavirus and making it impossible for social distancing. I for one will not play anywhere that doesnt allow one to a cart but some people dont mind the risk!

Best country club in Cape Coral. The new outside bar is spectacular as well as convenient! Priced reasonably well for a country club and the service and staff are excellent.

Good course for the cash. I like that there is ice and water supplied at the first and 8 or 9. Staff is friendly and helpful. Best prices are after 3 pm. Course condition was good. Will play again for sure!

Play here twice a year when down from Toronto. This year the course is in the best shape it has ever been. The owner has spent a lot of money cleaning it up!Super friendly staff, brand new halfway house with hamburgers and hot dogs, beers. Really enjoyed my round!

Course has completely changed from a few years ago. Cleaned out and its clear they have invested money in the right places. Hands down the best deal on Golf in the Cape Coral area in my opinion. Complete overhaul. Kudos to the Course Superintendent.

The course has improved so much in the past year. Cleaning out the rough has helped speed up play and make the experience so much better. Love the layout and will play it again. Many thanks to the great staff.

Course is in fairly good shape,greens are fast (compared to home )most fairways pretty good( I understand the drought issue)but things here are improving...my gripe is the bar,I have been playing here for 3 yrs now and always wondered why not many golfers inside....when you spend $20 for a bottle and a draught beer..excuse me but WTH... come to find out that they include the gratuity ( THEIR expectations)in the price...would b nice if you would let people know that or put it on receipt ( I paid cash so I didnt get/ ask for one) . So if/ when we play it again I sure wont be spending any extra $ there... By the way, the employees (pro shop,starter,ranger and young guys cleaning the carts) were very friendly and courteous!!!!!

Played this course a few times. Course is in great shape but one of the starters Bill was rude and pretty disrespectful. Ruins what should have been a nice day by being talked to like I am 12. If there is an issue talk to people like the adults they are and address it respectfully. I didn’t say much to him in return but don’t think I will be returning even though I live 1 mile away.

Course is in great shape all cautions taken for virus, all good, a little cook out and drink spot, all good

I came here for a banquet with the Cape Coral Tarpon Hunters Club. This is a beautiful facility and the Club has been coming here for years as they are very happy with both the experience here and the price they charge us for the banquet. The food was very good for this kind of large group service, although they seemed to be understaffed. I had a beef dish, it was good. Drinks were reasonably priced..Two glasses of cabernet and 1 pinot noir set me back under $19 before tax.

Average golf course. Not worth the price of admission

I am in charge of a group of 4 to 10 golfers. I spent the entire round apologizing for the ridiculous prices u charge to play golf at palmetto pines golf course. U think because u finished some cart paths that u are worth country club status. We will never play ur course ever again and was the concensus of everyone there. U will not receive a favorable word of mouth recommendation. Quite the contrary. Our friends will be directed to look elsewhere. If one of our players had not already paid we would have turned around and left.

Will not be playing this course again based on the lack of respect & customer service of one man named Bill. One employee CAN ruin the whole experience!This is typically one of my favorite courses to play in the Cape. Even try to play extra in the summers due to better rates & also because I feel it’s important to support local businesses. Especially when it’s ”slow season” for them.Today, after our foursome finished the round, Bill approached our group & was very rude because we took about 4 hrs and 20 mins to finish the round, and the course expectation is to finish within 4 hrs. We thought he was joking because of the way he was talking down to us in front of other customers, but he wasn’t. The “scolding” went on for a few minutes because he wanted us to know in detail why a foursome needed to complete a round within 4 hours and no exceptions.Needless to say, we didn’t feel like going to the clubhouse for lunch after the lecture.

Course was in great shape but rates are a little extreme. Also a six pack of can beer $25.00 is very extreme.

Reborn golf setting. Course was is disrepair and going downhill 3 yrs ago, but new infusion of cash and care has made a huge difference and this is again a really good golf course.

The course is progressing nicely.The greens are well kept and roll true. They are not slow so temper your stroke. The fairways and bunkers need a little more attention but are in good condition. The pace of play is okay. The staff are friendly and the clubhouse is very nice. A great place for beverages and something to eat after your round. The course is challenging and needs well placed shots if you expect to hold the green. The fees are fair so put Palmetto Pines on your list.

I used the practice facility. It was nice and not expensive.

Fairways re-done looking real good. Trimmed a lot of the surrounding landscape. Greens are crisp as well.

Parking can be an issue. Looks like they are trying to improve.

Food is good little pricey but great for meetings.

Great local golf.course. Staff friendly. Carts offer GPS. Good test of golf for all levels. Condition of course is reasonable not tour spec but very good. Some dry areas but it is summer. Pace of play is good and not crazy busy. Very enjoyable and will play again when in the area.

Went here through a friends invite and I can say the course offers fun and relaxing activities for anyone staying around cape Coral. Will go back again in the near future. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Attended breakfast meeting here buffet was good with several choices. servers were excellent refilling water and coffee. A very pleasant experience

Enjoyed the course layout. Lost a few balls in the thick rough. If you keep it on the fairway youre in good shape. Greens 1-2 weeks post aeration, played semi fast. Loved the GPS on the carts, didnt have to look for markers. Cart guys stopped me on my way out and chatted about her course, very nice staff.

Great place for a wedding. The bathrooms are set up a little weird. people playing cards watch you when youre washing your hands. I enjoyed the wedding and would recommended it for other events.

The golf course was in great shape the greens were perfect the staff was all very nice and helpful definitely worth going

After giving 14 year to Mataince of your club house,Its nice to see the upgrades you have done, & the portable service bar, I wanted that because it would take pressure of the bar & increase sales. I do hope you open the other bar that I worked so hard on. Ray Stout Jr.

The golf course really gets better every day

Mostly retired people live in here. It is a good place to live or vacation rental because it is close to town, they just upgraded there golf carts which you can order food and drinks from; a lot of golfers come here from the northern side of the country. Good place to buy a home if you have kids to raise, theres a lot of Cape pds that live in here as well. Safe place , they keep the community very clean and everybody watches every one for intruders in the housing. All in all nice place for this side of cape. Dont forget your umbrella in rainy season and also your gloves lol.

This is a beautiful location with a nice bar and restaurant , traditional good food and reasonable prices.

Staff were great, course was nice, reasonable rate 4pm+. While checking in another gentleman was there to check in but had forgotten to wear a shirt with a collar. Staff simply said no problem and offered him one to wear while on the course - great service!

Nice course layout but its so wet all the time and the condition is not good. Its almost like they have given up on it. I hope they give it the attention and money it needs.

My wife and I played this course while on vacation in December. We found the course to be in very good condition. All the staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. One example of great service is I asked a staff member, I think his name is Mark or Matt, if we could begin by playing the back nine. He quickly checked the turn and told us there was one group on the 10th and we could follow them as there was no one on the 9th. We liked the course so much we played it three times. I think it is a very good value for the experience.

They have some good deals for afternoon golfing. We missed the beer cart! Also, be careful after it has rained: the fairways can get pretty soggy. All in all a good deal for the money.
