More money could be spent to enjoy this island like a park that it is. Otherwise a health hazard to explore it.

This has always been one of my favorite local places. It is great to just grab a cup of coffee, head down and sit at the pier. No matter what the season is, it is quite a sight. There is a neat little Fishermans Village of vintage boat houses that people still utilize and own. There is not a huge amount of parking, but during the colder months, you shouldnt have any issue. I still go there at least twice a month during the winter. You do have to deal with kids coming down blaring music out of their cars sometimes, but its not that big of an issue. Its Scenic, peaceful, and located near downtown. Definitely stop by if you have never been
