Terrific RV park! Stayed here for 10 days over Thanksgiving. Generous sites, lots of trees and grass. The pool and spa are very clean and safe. Restrooms and showers are modern, private and very clean. They have a cute miniature golf course and pickle ball court too! The cottages are modern and very well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back next year!

Im new to RV camping... well, and I have a pop up camper. Its an older one with little amenities and I quite enjoy it. This park was really nice for RV goers and quiet keep to yourself people. Great activities, huge pool, nice bathhouse and laundry facilities. Kids enjoyed the playground and I enjoyed the safety there. It is probably a great place to live while youre building a home or whatever... but for our little family popup camping adventures, Ill pass on staying here again.

We stayed in a fully furnished ,very cute and comfortable cabin facing the river. We enjoyed the pool, the bubbly hot tub, relaxed and played cards in the club house while washing and drying our laundry. Every building and the grounds are well maintained and clean. They have a cute little mini golf set up, dog park, pickle ball court and a nice gift shop where you can pick up snacks, drinks, ice, clothing and camping equipment. You can even get your mail and packages there.

The managers, Carrie and Ryan, have done a great job with this place. We have stayed in the new cottages and in several RV spots. Love it that our friends without RVs can stay in cabins to hang out with us. They have done amazing work on the landscaping and all the amenities. The pool & jacuzzi are fantastic & always clean. The gym, pool tables & pickle ball courts are always immaculate! Every time we come here we love it even more! They take great pride in managing this place and it shows.

This RV park has really good features and not so good features. The park is very large. The parks office is up the hill from the RV sights, which sells ice, sodas, and other Sundry items along with RV items. You can receive mail and packages. Also there is a Rec Hall, which you can’t use nor the kitchen. This is for Staff and special functions only. There are bathrooms, we never used. In the park there is a pool, Hot Tub another Rec room, bathrooms, and washer and dry facility. Where the not so good comes in; is the RV sites themselves. The RV sites are a rock pile of small rocks and dirt and mud which tracks in to your RV. The grass is not grass its nothing but Sand Spurs all over the place. If you need space don’t get the delux site as there is no space to set up. We moved to a less expensive site and got outdoor space. We were told when we needed to move that there were only two spots to choose from but while we were here there were lots of empty spots. This park is a good location to Sedona AZ or just hike. This park has lots of full-timers working in the area.

The most well managed and cared for Thousand Trails parks Ive been in the west! So much to do in the area, whether you like hiking, scenic drives, ghost towns, Indian dwellings, history, geology or just hanging in camp. Everywhere you look while at this park, the scenery is stunning! Everything you need (groceries, fuel, restaurants, etc) is just 4 miles down the road.

I have, up until a year ago never stayed at an RV Resort before. My husband and I checked out a few prior to this one and we fell in love. The grounds them self are beautiful, I tucked away off of 260, with beautiful pine and cottonwood trees throughout. The Verde river directly behind. All of the facilities here are spotless. Very well taken care of. They also do little events at the clubhouse with food and drinks. Overall great place!

Wow this place was amazing, stayed here for a week in our 5th wheel. Beautiful property, plenty of space between campers, a big gorgeous pool, firepit grouping, ping pong table, pickle ballcourts, mini golf course, basketball court, big clubhouse and beautiful landscaping. The amenities here are so much nicer than some of the nicest hotels we have stayed at and all from the comfort of your camper or cabin. What more could you ask for?

We stayed at Distant Drums last year and this place had been under renovation when we drove by. This year we thought we would try it. So happy we did. It is an outstanding place and when the grass they have planted comes in, it will be beautiful. They have really put a lot of thought into the layout and can accommodate everything from small rigs to the really big ones. The cottages are so cute and the pool and jacuzzi look amazing. The putt putt golf course is a nice touch. The only downside is the neighborhood you have to drive through to get to it, but its no problem. The people are friendly and helpful and its easy to get big rigs in and out. The staff works very hard to maintain and to continue the improvements. We will be back.

Great Park! Amenities are really on point and there were a bunch of them. Super nice pool, playground, putt putt and bathroom and wash facilities (many are remodeled and amazing, showers and spa and all). Super friendly staff too! Flowing Verde river only 100 yards away. Only complaint we have are the railroad ties around the spots. They are intermittent with short plastics dividers in between them with and the plastic pieces use metal stakes to keep the the dividers in place. Major trip hazards especially for kids and elders but not sure much can be done about this. We would stay here again though as we had a great time here.

We have been staying here since February in our toy hauler and Mom is staying in a cottage on the river. This is such a wonderful place with caring people working here. They do so much and are constantly making updates around the park. There is a clubhouse with heated pool, hot tub and comfy fire pit seating area. There are also saunas in the bath house, and the mini golf area is gorgeous. Dog people they have a big, fenced in run!!! We love it here so much that we have decided to stay until January 2021!

First class RV resort. We didnt have time to use the spa, mini golf or other amenities because we were only staying one night. Grounds, restrooms, showers, basketball and pickleball courts seem well maintained. This would be a great place for a family reunion. Family without an RV could rent a cottage. This place is a renovated KOA campground. The new owners have done a fantastic job with the campground. The prices are reasonable, with very spacious sites.Service was top notch. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. We went over Memorial Day and they were hosting a celebration at the Club House and Pool, with a bounce house, live band, drinks, and hot dogs. This was a nice extra touch that made our stay extra memorable. There were many amenities for this location. The site we were in was decent sized, with LOTS of room between us and our neighbors. The pad was gravel, but nice and level. You get cable tv with more channels than we have at home, water sewer, and 20/30/50 amp service. There is a club house with activities, a theater room, and of course, a heated pool and Jacuzzi. The Verde River at the NE end of the property was flowing during our stay, and made for some good exploring. There is a fairly new playground next to a half-court basketball court. This provided a good destination for our 4yo to blow off some steam. The only issue that detracted from our stay was some ants in our site. We put some peppermint down on 3 different ant mounds, and they avoided us during our stay. I wouldnt even knock 1/4 star off for this.We are definitely adding this to our must come back destinations, and for the rates they are charging, you need to check it out too.

I appreciate their rules for driving slow and providing a large dog run area also the bathroom is very clean with showers and next to the pool and hot tub which were both open in March. Super friendly staff, kid friendly, great activities throughout the week for both adults & children.Grounds are kept up...only complaint is some sites have stickers if you have animals or kids that like to run barefoot. Nice playground for the little ones, heated pool and hot tub and AWESOME outdoor entertaining area with a propane fire pit & lounge chairs. The RV sites are pretty spacious depending on your spot, we were in #172 and it had an awesome size yard for the kids to play in plus a good amount of shade for the Arizona desert.Decent Internet service & cell reception, they also allowed FedEx, UPS and mail to be delivered which is always a plus for us. Very nice facility, terrible management. If you like being micro managed while on vacation, this is the place for you!My family and I just spent 4 nights at this resort. We rented an RV to get away from the city and relax for a bit with the kids. Before we even arrived, I felt un welcome. I received a phone call to confirm our reservation, and was told(in a rather annoyed tone) that I will be checking in late and will have to get my info from the late checkin box. Since when is 3-4pm late? Don’t mind the late checkin procedure but why the attitude?Another incident, with the same individual, came about Saturday night. A friend of ours happened to be kayaking at a nearby lake and wanted to come for dinner. He called me shortly after 5pm and Asked for directions. I told him to visit the front office when he got here to check in. He arrived around 530 and the front office was empty so I gave him the gate code. The girl that drives around in the golf cart with another gentleman drove by and threatened to tow our friends car. When I spoke to her about it and asked what we needed to do, she became aggressive and confrontational with all of us. This put a damper on the evening and our friends didn’t stay long, needless to say.We are a family of four with two young kids. We were quiet and in bed by 9pm every night. In no way shape or form were we bothersome to any neighbors and we followed the rules to the best of our ability. The management here has no business in a customer service role. Rude, condescending, and completely negative every time I saw her on the property. There were other incidents as well, but I can’t type forever. We were warned of this by some friends that stayed here a month ago, but we figured it was an exception. Boy were we wrong. Will never stay here or recommend it to anyone. Lot’s of RV parks in northern Arizona. Too much competition to make your first feel unwelcome.

First off I love the park and the first class amenities. What we didnt like is the weirdness of this place. The handout sheet had all of the rules. But you dont pay never mind to that sparky. We have another set and we will ask you to leave without argument... nice introduction.Another is the friggin cameras... feel safe yet? They have as many as some casinos. If the cameras miss something they have there own neighborhood watch program. Just in case your breaking that 5mph speed limit (the flyer says 10).So safely first.. it was 20% full.. I told my buddy in chino valley about the place. He used to live in Camp Verde.... he laughed.. they had a family get together there a year ago. They all left early and made other arrangements also.. so if your at a time on your life where your up in everyones business, need maxim security and are pretty much sedimentary this is the place for you....there are plenty of other places to go for us...

Clean park and MOST of the staff were friendly except for the woman who seemed to be the manager... for privacy sake we will call her Karen (AKA Carol Baskins evil sister). From the moment we arrived and began setting up we were repeatedly harassed by Karen Baskin the manager and her golf cart gestapo. The spaces are very tiny and to make matters worse the sewage hookup was at the very front of the spot. Even with extra sewage line I could not back up all the way. You would seriously need 3 lengths of hose to reach which is crazy. After I disconnected my truck I pulled it as tightly into the spot (which allows one vehicle) and out of the main part of the road, barely sticking out on the street. I was asked to re-park. I repositioned my truck to get it further off the street and then they said the part I parked on was grass. THERE WAS NO GRASS! With nowhere left to park I swapped with my wife’s mini-van which was in overflow parking that we paid for. Off the street… 95% off the dirt Karen said was grass and we got in trouble again. My wife visited the main office and asked if they could have somebody instruct us how/where to park… after sputtering some nonsense about how we needed to pay more and something about the river rising they said they would come out to help and didn’t. Finally our friends who had a smaller rig let us squeeze in next to their motorhome which was still a tight fit.On Saturday the park had a social distancing party at the clubhouse serving food and snow cones for the kids (nice right?). My kids patiently waited their turn for a snow cone and asked Karen Baskin for a rainbow cone (because they saw other kids walk out with the same). Karen rolled her eyes and said, “Ughhh, what do I look like a professional snow cone maker?” To my 6 and 3 year old kids!!! How miserable can you be?We do have another bad story which I will not write about here but my friend will most likely mention in another review about the terrible manager lady at this place.Bottom line: if you drive anything other than a clown car or have kids don’t stay here.

My husband and I love trying new places. This campground looks brand new. The pool, shower house, mini golf and dog park are really nice. Make sure you specify you want a spot with mature trees or they’ll stick you in a spot that looks like a field. Not many shaded spots but the ones that are there are nice. Cute cottages. The only issue we had was with ANTS.. Multiple nests on our patio area... Thousands of them. We couldn’t be outside at all. We brought our dogs and they were stuck n the camper. We left several messages for the office and no response at all. Office was always closed and no one to help. Hopefully next time the customer service will be better and ant hills gone... ( fire ants and regular ants) everywhere . The park was almost like a ghost town .. not many customers we were surprised. We were not welcomed by anyone upon arrival instead greeted by a teenager who very firmly went over the park rules and highlighted the ones showing us how we would get kicked out of the park. We felt like we were on a military base instead of a vacation resort. Park is nice.. Staff and park rules need to be adjusted .

It is clean, the staff is extremely friendly, the sites are definitely big rig friendly, there is a wonderful doggie park (which we all know is VERY IMPORTANT), and the views are spectacular. We didnt have the time or opportunity to visit the pool but it looked very inviting. Plus they have a mini-golf course and a pickleball court for those interested. All in all, for anyone visiting the area, I would HIGHLY recommend this place.

I loved this campground. The staff was so helpful and accommodating! Lots of amenities: swimming pool, sauna, 2 great clubhouses, WiFi, full hookups, happy hour, clean bathrooms and so close to old town cottonwood, wine tasting, Sedona and more...

Beautiful resort! All the amenities at a great price! Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back soon. Just one recommendation...keep the hot tub and gym open later or 24 hours. We went back after dinner to get in the hot tub but gate was locked. Also would have like to use the gym space early AM. Thanks!

I wish all places were this nice and friendly. They have recently remodeled and upgraded and everything was super clean. We were there for one night over Labor Day Weekend which was customer appreciation and it made me want to stay longer. The bathrooms and all facilities were clean and inviting.

The people were great and overall the park is clean and appealing. They are in an expansion mode, so new trees were being planted and a little more mud was evident because of that. Our site was extremely narrow and we had to step on to the railroad ties that bordered the site when we exited our vehicle. This will be better when the grass grows, etc.
