This half mile #hike is moderate, but rewarding. Long, gradual incline pathways canopied in trees and natural flora, followed by steeper paths with tree root steps. Great for a mild workout, scenic views, and lots of wild blueberries at the top during summer.Photo cred: Cats Eye Studio @photosbycatseye
There are lots of trails available for hiking. But we did not have enough time to hike, so we decided to drive up the lookout point at the top. The view at the top is breathtaking. For anybody who loves photography, it is a must do!
Great hike! Steep and fairly slippery in places when wet, but if you can do a bit of bouldering and have solid, grippy shoes, you should be ok. I was wearing Vans. :/ They were ok until they got wet. I only slipped badly once though so that’s good! At the top there is a small castle turret you can climb for a slightly better view than the ground, but it looks cool, so there’s that. :) We caught good weather on the top and could see the whole valley. Awesome! When we got to the top we saw a parking lot, I guess you can drive up there. The hike was pretty steep but worth it! It really was a nice hike!
This is an incorrect map posting. It’s a private road. To get to Mt. Battie, take Route 1 North to Camden Hills State Park.
