Must visit place when you come to MIT or Cambridge. Significant building, very impressive academic look and feel. Nice and clean everywhere. From here you can visit MIT store just about 100m to the design school with various souvenirs. Laying or Sitting on the grass, looking to the sky to feel like a MIT student :). Please look at the sentence on the ceiling to feel the spirit of this famous university. Wish all the people here health and prosperity

Beautiful place and building! It’s got a funny little few stories about it too, if you happen to visit MIT, definitely take a family photograph right in front of the Great Dome on the field! The infinite corridor is also a nice touch in the area. Good food court inside if you need a quick bite on your way.

The Great Dome is located at MIT. Visit here towards sunset and you will get some awesome photos! Please do respect the faculty and students here aswell. You can take a stroll inside the building and then get awesome views!

Almost a century old place! The worlds number 1 University. A great place to visit for tourists when your friends and family visit. Once you cross the road, you will find an amazing Boston skyline with Charles River.

Like everyone else I LOVED IT!

The Great Dome is the reading room of the Barker Engineering Library at MIT. It consists of individual study pods in rooms on the far perimeter of multiple floors, group spaces, individual study pods on the inside perimeter, walled off four person tables and four-person starfish-shaped couch chairs with rolling footsrools so each person is facing a different direction. You have to make sure your seat has a plug nearby. Not all do. All this is under a 27- foot wide skylight comprised of 1,042 glass bricks specially etched to increase light refraction. The skylight is at the top of a 100 foot dome. Its quiet there and, depending on room, it is available to the greater Cambridge community.

Its always an amazing feeling to come here. It is so refreshing and sitting quietly, observing people. You can go inside and take a tour of MIT.

MIT Juggling Club worlds oldest juggling club every Sunday 3-7. Come practice or learn how to. All are welcome! Usually under the dome in building 10

Its free and pretty magical, respect others studying and stay quiet while on the 5th floor in the dome room. Its quiet and nice place to study and chill with wifi, power plugs and nice sofas to take naps after studying. The clock is also something to gaze at.

Took a tour there with my family a month ago. Fun and informative. Ask any students there about the cop car on top of the dome! Lol

Its MIT. Its iconic, its renowned, and7 7 , unlike some other Universities further west in this city, it actually is worth all the hype. This is where the Visitors Center and the first pile of maps and honestly Im pretty sure Admissions is right in this building too, I myself like to wander aimlessly and get scared by some of the names of the buildings, and the warning signs that dont have tell you the reason you should under no circumstances open this door while alarm is sounding, if you understand the mechanics and technology to understand what you just randomly happened across, you can get a good spook on for some inspiration for your next spec-fi (thats what nerds who are stickler for accuracy call sci-fi) work.

Its cool to see this interesting place in reality, but also a little of track for other touristy things. Probably its much nicer in spring or summer.

Its my alma mater and was a great place to go in the sixties. The physical plant has changed a lot, and for the better. So has the student body, but it still seems to me to be a great place to go.

Was at MIT for an alumni event, so naturally Google detected my presence under the Great Dome as I transited the Infinite Corridor ... and later as I walked past the Great Court on Mem Drive.

The iconic MIT dome. Looks much bigger when we are near it. Large courtyard and large building surround it. The building are named after prominent scientists like Newton, Darwin etc. It is very close to the river, just cross the road and you get a beautiful view of river.

The MIT campus seems to have become more industrial than I remember from visits 40 years ago... But impressive. I didnt get to see it during the day.

Very beautiful and the lawn was a vibrant green, but there were some ugly brown patches and mud that stuck to my shoe. Otherwise, great for photos!
