Our family absolutely loved our weekend getaway here. Our cabin was very clean and well taken care of. Our children also loved it just as much as we did, and even begged for “one more night!” We were able to unwind & relax in the hot tub. We cooked most of our meals over the fire outside. It was a trip our family will remember forever. Thank you Lori for allowing us to enjoy your cabin, we will be back!

Spent 2 nights at the Birmingham Cabin at Timberline and absolutely did not want to leave. The moment I walked in, I was blown away as the pictures on the website do not give it justice. Relaxing, spa-like music was playing and the lights were set perfectly as I walked in the door. Smells are so very critical to me and the aroma of this cabin was so delightful and refreshing. The beds were comfortable and clean and they were both decorated so adorable. The kitchen and outdoor area was stocked with everything we needed and I could go on and on about the huge hot tub! Booked already for a few days right around Christmas. I met Jerry the maintenance man and the owner Lori and both were so incredibly sweet and helpful. I was also extremely impressed on how you can donate cash for the firewood which goes for new clothing for area children. Class act Timberline Cabins! Thanks again!

This place is simply delightful in every way! I encourage all to make these cabins a must go location for all occasions.The cabins are nestled in a beautiful location with space between each one so to give a private feeling. The cabins have an amazing vibe inside and out. Each cabin has lovely outdoor gathering spaces, firepit, hot tub etc. Inside lovely, simple and functional decor, immaculately clean and well stocked with just right items.The local area provides easy access to many outdoor experiences for all ages and stages. A great getaway place that fits all occasions.

We had a lovely stay at Wildwood, part of the Timberline Cabins in Salt Fork/Cambridge Ohio. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to celebrate our Anniversary with the family. These cabin getaways come highly recommended. We will surely be staying again in the future.

The cabin was beautiful and clean. Very relaxing and a short drive to the state park. The only reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 5: owner with no compassion for boat issues. We rented a pontoon boat for a full day and had to spend 3 hours of our own time FIXING the boat. Once we fixed it (thank goodness 2 in our party were mechanics!), we ended up having a great day. However, I felt that a partial refund was owed since almost half our time was used fixing a boat. The owner was short and curt when I kindly asked. She even claimed we were told to not go out on the boat when it had issues before but were insistent... this is completely false. It is unfortunate that the owner was unwilling to do anything to help us feel better on the boating issue. She made us to feel like we did something wrong when HER boat was broken!Like I said, otherwise everything was good. Jerry was very nice and helpful. We had an issue with a bed being lumpy and uncomfortable and he went out and replaced it that very day (while we were on the boat dealing with the previously mentioned issues).I am appreciative of the time we had but I am left with a bad taste in my mouth because of the boat issue and unwillingness to make it right. I wont be back for this reason.

So much better than the pictures! I am so impressed and had a wonderful time. We come to Ohio every year to visit family and this is out new go to spot for a place to stay. 100% worth it.

The cabin and boat rental exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Birmingham cabin. It is beautifully decorated. The kitchen was stocked. I was able to make a large breakfast for my family. My husband used the grill and was happy they had all utensils set out nicely to grill. The hot tub was clean and hot for us on arrival. The fire pit area was nice and safe for kids to roast marshmallows and hotdogs. The 2 rocking chairs on the wrap around porch were the perfect touch and the patio furniture was nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. Theyll go out of their way to be helpful and give you privacy. I highly recommend Timberline Cabins. We will be back and hope to include horseback riding on our next trip.

Stayed 3 nights at the cabin with my husband and dogs. We put out kayaks in the water at the nearby marina at salt fork lake, made gourmet meals, sat around the fire and relaxed in the hot tub. Cabin was beautiful and well maintained. Lori and Jerry were very responsive and helpful. We had a great time!

WE LOVED OUR TRIP TO SALT FORK!!! These cabins are very well taken care of and the hot tub was awesome!!!! It was great for our social distancing!! I always enjoy fishing at Salt fork Lake and hiking in the park. I have stayed in these cabins before and the owner is totally awesome to work with!! I will most definitely be back!!!

Some friends and I spent the weekend at the cabin to visit, catch up, and enjoy a stress free weekend. The cabins was private yet luxurious. We never heard any other campers or road noise.The cabins wall decor was cozy and elegant. The beds were comfortable and the blankets were soft. The cabin has a great walk in shower in the bathroom and fully functional toilet/sink.I can see where the grill/picnic areas/porch/fire ring/hot tub are great for family gatherings however due to weather, we didnt get to utilize these amenities.Lastly, Lori was great to work with. We updated her with our itinerary because we arrived later than expected due to weather. Lori checked on us (via text) to make sure we were settled and if we needed anything.This is someplace I hope to return to with my kids to enjoy a nice quiet retreat.

We rented the Wildwood and Pinewood for a family weekend and it was a great experience! Very clean and well maintained. The owners and maintenance man are super friendly and helpful. We needed help working the central air and I texted Lori and Mick came up right away. When he got there we were unloading heavy coolers and he helped carry them, and also started our weekend with some great Bigfoot stories! We loved the hot tubs, and the patio area was really nice and large so we weren’t tripping over each other. Also loved that it’s just a quick drive over to the state park and hiking trails! We definitely would love to come back!

We have stayed in the pet friendly cabins a couple of times over the past few years. The cabins are clean, and the owner is very friendly. It is just a short drive from the cabins to Salt Fork State Park. We have always had a quiet and relaxing stay. We will be back for sure!

Really well priced. Cabin was clean, all needs were supplied, owner was very friendly. The only drawback would be the steep incline to the cabin, people with mobility issues might struggle. Overall a superb experience.

Stayed at the Birmingham on a weekend I proposed to my fiance (she said yes!) and the cabin and property exceeded every expectation! The inside wowed us when we walked in and we couldnt stop smiling all weekend...everything was cozy, comfortable and a perfect romantic getaway. Inside, the rustic feel and decor of the bedrooms, the wonderfully decorated and appointed living area with fireplace, and the well appointed kitchen and dining area gave us the luxurious cabin feel weve always dreamed of. Even though it was chilly, we spent a good deal of time outside and thoroughly enjoyed the perfect temperature in the hot tub multiple times, the fire ring area and decks on the wooded lot. Lori and Micky were gracious hosts and attended to our every need, from the wonderful romantic setup on Friday, to checking in on Saturday, to giving us a little extra time on Sunday. Thanks for making our weekend one that we will always remember and cherish! We DEFINITELY will be return customers!

Timberline Cabin was there for us...I wanted to do something very special for my man on his birthday and Lori made it happen for me. She was so helpful and sweet, she gave us the perfect cabin.My boyfriend had no idea that I got a cabin for us for the weekend until we got there. He was like a little kids on Christmas day! It made my heart swell... It was so peaceful and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We will come back again...

If you want to unplug, unwind and relax this is the place for you. The cabin is clean and cool. You can drive right down the road and fish. It was perfect for my parent and my husband and I. They have corn hole, horseshoes, and volleyball or you can just relax by the bonfire and roast marshmallows. You also have your own grill and hot tub. And the best part of all is that if you enjoy animals you are only 45 minutes from the wilds. I trusty cannot say enough good things about our stay.

Beautiful scenery at the White Tail. Great hot tub. So close to Salt Fork! Had a very nice time. A dog stole my sister in-laws shoe off the deck lol.

We rented the Huntington cabin July 1st and 2nd. Super cute an isolated, but less than five min to lake. Cabin was great with upstairs loft and a cozy feel. Full kitchen and fire pit for evening relaxation. Nice front deck faces the woods with seating and a hot tub. Great for couples of two four or six. Everything you need for a getaway.

One of the best places to stay in southeast Ohio. If you’re looking for a quiet get away surrounded by nature’s beauty this is the place to go.

Had a wonderful weekend away. The place was exactly what my fiancé and I needed. The cabin was peaceful and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely come back and would recommended it to anyone that needs a little get away!

My husband and I had a fabulous time on our 5 year mooniversary while staying at the Birmingham cabin. The decor is lovely, the kitchen is well stocked and the atmosphere is peaceful. The hot tub is amazing!! Jerry is so nice- he stopped by daily to make sure everything was ok and to make sure we knew about the amenities on the grounds. (I absolutely love that he takes children in need every year to get school clothes and supplies with the firewood donations). We even had a great time with “Tony” the local beagle who would visit us daily- as dog people that were missing our pup, he was a welcomed visitor. Thanks so much to Lori & crew for making our stay enjoyable. We look forward to going back soon!

After spending a week at the Timbers (The Huntington) we have found our yearly get a way! It was perfect for a family of five(including our dog who might as well be one of our children)! I must say we drove to salt fork and looked at some of there cabins and they would not meet what we need! I encourage people to contact Lori and tell her what you need and she will suggest what will work for you! Very secluded, private and cozy! Made lots of memories this past week! The only bad part was time went to fast! Thanks again Lori and Jerry for everything! Very honest and trustworthy people! Will see you next year!!The Dennis Family

Loved Pinewood cottage! The place was clean and well stocked with the kitchen essentials! Hot tub was clean and fully functional. Our only complaint was that the cottages are placed too close to each other. We could easily hear other vacationers through the trees. Would definitely go back!!

We had so many problems with the Dogwood cabin. There were so many dead bugs when we arrived which showed they didnt clean before our stay. A doorknob was broken, the trashcan was broken, the front door is stuck and we had to ask each other help to get in and out. Look for other places before booking.

Second trip to Timberline and awesome as usual. Everything was super clean and smelled like log cabin! I love that smell! Too cold for us to use the hot tub however we did use it in the first cabin we stayed in....relaxing... the fireplace didn’t work but Lori brought in extra heat. Chilly at first but we cranked the furnace and everything was fine. We don’t go to the lake/park but we love antique shopping! Thanks for the awesome stay!! Again!

This was an awesome hideaway. It was super clean warm and very inviting. The hot tub was very nice for our family to enjoy. Its great for a family or group of friends who want nothing else but privacy, a place to play games, boating, fishing, the beach, golf and more. Give them a try. Glad we did !! Gorgeous, comfortable, and super-cozy cabins!! The settings are beautiful, spacious, and quiet. Perfect get-a-way!!

Unfortunately the cabin smelled like smoke. The hot tub was filthy. The bed (mattress) was old, uncomfortable and dirty. The deck was nice. These cabins are basically on top of each other...we could hear everything... Maintenance man Jerry was beyond nice and very helpful, however I would not recommend.

Me and my two boys would like to thank Timberline cabins and Jerry for the school clothes. I am a single mother I have two growing boys. When timberline cabins offered to hep with school clothes it was a great blessing and a relief was not sure how I was going to be able to purchase school clothes this year. We rented out the whole Timbers area (four cabins) and had the best time! We have a very large group, so it is difficult to find a place that will accommodate all of us, and we were blown away by how great and hospitable Lori and her husband and Geri were. The Birmingham is definitely specious enough to gather with a large group if you rent out any other cabins with it. They offered extra tables so that we could all eat together and set up chairs for us at the community bonfire, plus they were very easy to reach if we had any questions throughout our weekend stay. We loved having a hot tub at each cabin, especially with the cold weather, it was nice to be outside at night but not freezing! The cabins were perfect, giving us a rustic feel with the exposed beams and western decor while still keeping us warm and completely comfortable. We enjoyed hiking at the state park just down the road and even took a long walk on their property up to the Cottages, it was beautiful! I recommend renting all four cabins -- we LOVED having the whole place to ourselves, and there is a grassy area between all the cabins that is perfect for cornhole or kickball! Thanks again, Lori. We really hope to be back!

This is the second year I have rented a Timberline Cabin from Lori. The cabin itself is nicely decorated and very clean. It has everything you need to spend a few days away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Lori is always pleasant & always available to answer any questions. And her staff, Jerry and Tim were very helpful. The cabin is so peaceful--and the people are so nice--cant wait to come back next year!

Our experience at the cabins was exceptional. Cabins are well kept, staff was wonderful (especially Jerry... Doc says Hey), very easy to find and definitely would recommend staying here. Lori was wonderful to work with considering all the changes we made to our reservations. Thank you so much and cant wait till next year to do it all again.

I stayed at the Richmond Cabin this past weekend. The cabin was just the right size for a group of 4. The cabin was remarkably clean, the hot tub was 104° and ready to use upon arrival. Lori has the kitchen stocked with plates/cups and kitchen utensils that I had forgot to bring. The hot tub was so relaxing after a day out on the lake. It is very private and very quiet. We didnt hear any neighbors in the cabins next to us. You cant see any of the other cabins from the back yard firepit, which was an added bonus to the privacy. They have a Volleyball net with a ball and corn hole for an added bonus. It was a short drive (approx 5min) to the several marinas/boat launch areas. We will definitely return for a much needed relaxing weekend.

Tim and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. We were celebrating Tims birthday and Lori did a wonderful job in having things ready for us when we arrived. The cabin was perfect. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We walked around and went to Salt Fork State Park. I only wish we would have had more time to stay longer. We will definitely be going back!

The cabin was cozy and the decor was perfect. Very comfy and spacious! The hot tub was so relaxing. The owners thought of everything from fly swatters to dish sponge. Things we would gave never packed for the weekend. The boat rental was perfect and a very nice boat at that. The stairs are a bit steep but there are railings. The cabins were very clean and cozy. It was unfortunate that we were unable to use the fireplace due to a safety hazard, but better safe than sorry! The hot tub was a great feature and got a lot of use throughout the weekend! All in all, it was a nice and relaxing getaway

We loved staying in the Wilmington Cabin! Our whole extended family rented all 4 cabins, and it was a PERFECT setting for a family gathering or reunion. The cabins were cozy but not crowded, with plenty of eating and living space, which was really helpful for game-playing and visiting. It felt like a mini family cabin resort; horseshoes, cornhole, a fire pit, hot tubs, and hiking all outside on the beautiful property, and fireplaces (with fire logs, not wood-burning) and an inviting rustic environment inside. My children loved the loft! We noted with delight that the layout of our cabin was the same as the Ingalls’ in Little House on the Prairie—only bigger and certainly more modern. ;) We were there over New Year’s, and each cabin had lovely holiday decor that made the setting feel very personal and well-cared for. Each cabin also has a charcoal grill on the porch, and a large TV with cable, so we Indiana folks could watch the Colts. :) The largest cabin had a DVD player as well.

What a wonderful weekend! The Huntington is a beautiful property and Lori and Mick make it very easy to enjoy. Its a terrific location, very close to the state park. They also have 2 pontoon boats available which again, they make very easy to rent. The rental rates are very very competitive until you realize that their price includes tax and a full tank of gas...excuse the pun but that blows the park rentals out of the water. Well be back!

This was our fourth year staying at Timberline Cabins. We love it! The beds are comfortable, the scenery is beautiful and hot tub is so relaxing. Lori is an awesome person to deal with and Jerry, the maintenance guy always comes up to make sure we don’t need anything. Can’t wait for next year!

We stayed at the Huntington cabin with our 5 children in July for 9 days. This is a beautiful property with plenty of room for the kids to runs Run and play. The cabin is quite spacious and We loved the hot tub. Lori was very helpful with anything we could have needed! The cabin is very close to the stay park and also close to town. I would recommend 100%.

Had a great weekend getaway with the girlfriend. Cat loved it too :) Clean, comfortable, run by wonderful people. Highly recommended, you will have a marvelous time.

I absolutely love coming here!, so peaceful and cozy!.I don’t understand the nasty review below because I have stayed here with my boyfriend and my girlfriends an we had an amazing time and felt so relaxed. I’ve been in just about every cabin and cottage on the property and we have always said “ these must be the most comfortable beds ever slept in, feels like I was laying on a cloud of loveliness!”. As for smelling like smoke and the hot tub being dirty, I know nor me or anyone I’ve referred to stay here has ever had that problem!.My favorite thing about Timberline,How quiet it was and how much we all felt relaxed and the bird watching is spectacular.Miss Lori and Jerry made us feel so welcomed and I can’t wait to go back!.I can go on and on about all the great things Timberline has to offer but then I would be writing a Full novel lol

My family and I just stayed in the newly renovated Birmingham, which is one of the Timbers cabins. It was absolutely gorgeous! From the furniture to the dishes to the decor on the shelves and walls, everything was beautiful and functional. The hot tub on the private deck was a special , relaxing bonus.

Spent over a week at the Timberline Cabins and really enjoyed the experience. Cabin was clean and beautifully situated on a wooded lot. Corn hole, horseshoes, and volley ball all right on site. BIG back area with fire pit, picnic table and of course there is the HOT TUB!!!! Kitchen is good with full size stove and refrigerator/freezer..... right next to Salt Fork State Park and two exits from good size grocery store, restaurants, local stops. Lots to do, or NOT do. Sitting on front porch sipping some wine (local vineyards) in the evening, or coffee in the morning is wonderful. Come out an enjoy a great place to stay. Owner is wonderful to work with, Maintenance is friendly and stays on top of any requests.

My husband and I rented a cabin here for our anniversary. It was great! Relaxing and peaceful environment, great hot tub, very clean and great accommodations. We stayed in “The Birmingham” and loved every minute of it. I would recommend it to anyone lookin for a getaway.

My family vacationed here at the dogwood for a weekend birthday getaway and boy what a present in itself. The place was so peaceful, clean, homely, and the owners were very personable and friendly. Also provided for us (and all of the other campers) was a big stock pile of firewood) they provide & only accept donations towards it! Very nice gesture. They even went out of their way to come help us with what we thought was our car being broken down but the problem was fixed. Thanks again Lori and Mick my family and I will definitely be returning and we thank you again for providing us with such a nice stay. Felt right at home!

I have spent many relaxing weekends at Timberlines cabins and cottages. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to stay in each cabin and each hillside cottage. I have never been disappointed! All are exceptionally clean and fully stocked to meet all of my needs. I can physically feel the stress leaving my body the minute I turn onto Endley Road! Life is so hectic and moves so quickly that when I am able to find time to get away, I call Lori and she has always been more than accommodating. The surrounding area is so peaceful and picturesque! I honestly cannot wait for my next visit! If you ever find yourself in the Salt Fork Park region, I highly recommend booking your stay at Timerline Cabins!!

Went over the weekend with a couple friends. Have to say its one of the nicest cabins I have ever been to. We stayed in the wildwood and it was private could barely hear the neighboring individuals had lots of trees around it is secluded. Inside the cabin was really nice has a full kitchen bathroom and the room were very nice. Firepit area is really nice also. Would highly reccomend going and planning to possibly go back this fall or winter. Met Lori and Jerry both super nice and helpful easy to get in contact with any issues. We also rented a boat and the boat was just as nice and comfortable as the cabins. Wish the trip was longer but life does get in the way. If your are looking for a place to visit to get away for a couple of days or longer and would like the comforts of home then would recommend visiting. If you need anything there is a grocery store about ten minutes away called Riesbeck has everything you will need from food to toiletries. Staff is helpful and nice. Also having never been to Salt Fork was really happy with the choice we made and the ease of getting to the park from the cabins was less then 10 minutes away. Cant wait to go back. Cannot say enough good things about the whole experience. Thank you Lori for making the trip easy from setting up the rental of the boats and the cabins to the comforts that were available.
