This course is amazing for the value. Cost 40 on a Sunday afternoon in February. Course is in great shape. Greens rolled nice. Pace of play moved along nicely, we played in just over 4 hours. Would definitely play again!

I had not played at Sterling Hills in years and I was very pleasantly surprised. I was impressed that the rates were very reasonable, practice balls were included with the greens fee, the course was in excellent shape, and the lunch was essentially free. I think we only had to pay for our sodas. My son and I had a really fun round and I expect we will be back again this season.

It was great and the staff were extremely helpful and nice! I had a great time!

Got married here back in 2014, and my friends and I played a round the day before. Just went back here last month to play with a client. Such fond memories and a beautiful course.

I am a long time player at this golf course going back 10+ years. The new ownership the last couple years have done a nice job managing the course. The course is always a fun time, staff is friendly, and overall the layout, views, and course conditions are consistently good.

Sterling Hills, took advantage of the off time, the tee boxes were & are perfect along with the greens, A+, it’s the fairways that have improved so much. Looking forward to a real lunch menu again but that’s up to the authorities. Sterling Hills golf course is better than ever!!

Course is in good shape, a little mud. Really enjoy the challenge of playing here. Do wish the lawn mowers would move away or turn off engine when close to golfers.

It is now a Great Course again. Use to frequent this course many years ago it was going down hill fast and I stopped playing there. Now after the last couple of years and new owners and staff it is a great course again. They have fixed the fairways and are working on the Tee box etc.. all the time now. Love playing there and Greens are great.

My go to spot that feeling away from the city always well taken care of. If you ever just need to walk off some stress or hit the range. This place is a must stop. Ill see you out here. Just tell fore. I dont want to get hit.

John Zaruka and his team have done a first rate job making this one of the most improved courses in the last three or so years since they took over. I liked it so well I joined the mens club and enjoy rounds here at least weekly when I am not traveling. Johns staff in the pro shop is always friendly and welcoming as well as those great folks in the grill. Greg goes out of his way to make sure what were eating and drinking is just right! Great course for special golf events as well. Sterling Hills played host to my familys Waste Management mini tournament last year and we all (6 foursomes) had a blast!

I played here for the first time a few months ago and found a gem! This is a great course layout and solid challenging greens. Since playing here the past 5 months, my handicap has dropped 2 shots. Their golf shop staff is the best I have ever worked with!!

Course is definitely coming along nice. The entire grounds are well kept and it plays very nice. Greens were tough but fair. Driving range could use some work, but the lace is pretty limited, so its definitely maximizing what they have. Only negative I would say is the pro shop staff is grumpy every time I go in there. But I really dont mind since Im only in there for about 5 minutes. If you are looking for a decent course at a good price meat Camarillo, its definitely a good option. Just dont go expecting to feel welcome.

A very good golf course making a come back. After years of neglect, the new owners have committed to restoring Sterling Hills to tip top shape like it was when it first opened.They have a long ways to go, but fairways and greens are in great shape (except for all of the ball marks...my God people, how lazy can you be?!)We played early and got around in 3 hours. Pro in the shop was extremely friendly, and they even gave us coupons for free breakfast or lunch.If youre looking for a fun, enjoyable and not too demanding track at a great price, I highly recommend.

Greens are awesome. best part of the course. fairways are ok. everyone gets the price of water is an issue for golf courses. pro shop is hit or miss. some of the guys are nice. some shouldnt be standing behind a counter.marshalls are dealing with a unique situation as a lot of new comers out playing golf due to covid -19. that being said marshalls need to chill out. its just golf. let me repeat that - its just golf.

The owners are making a good effort in upgrading the facility. Its an enjoyable course to play and becomes even more so as their efforts progress. Weve come back and its worth it.

Just started to play here a couple of weeks ago, I have been playing at Camarillo Springs- which has closed . Everyone at Sterling has been great and as accommodating. The course is in good shape and I just got a membership- looking forward to playing here for a long time

Really enjoyed the course on Fathers Day weekend. Greatly appreciated how management dealt with social distancing.

The course is in wonderful shape and the staff are very nice and helpful. It is also priced very nicely right now!

We would play Sterling once a month before the shutdown and when we went back the green fees with cart went up $10 and we didnt get a lunch. All other courses we play within 30 miles have the same greens as before the shut down. We dont play Sterling anymore.

Course is in great condition. Only negative is before pandemic you could play on the weekend with cart fro $55 plus a meal. After reopen it is $55 to walk on the weekend without meal. Seems unjustified to me.

Sterling has always been one of my favorites. I used to call it a public country club course. But with the Covid-19 two month break and getting back to the course reopening it appears there is a fair amount of maintenance overlooked. I know it can get expensive but the course overall looks dried out. Need more water or feed for the grass to liven it up. Lots of weedy patches in areas that used to be beautiful fairways and scenic greenways. Hope this formerly magnificent specimen to Camarillo paradise isnt heading the way of another public course in town that has been hijacked by someone more interested in development revenue than green space.

Plenty of parking. Little spot for ordering beer and food. Nice dining hall for weddings. Pretty view if the farms and hills.

The new management team has taken care if this course and it was in excellent shape! Fun with family on a beautiful day and golf course! Food at the snack bar was good as well!

Pretty decent. Carts are prev generation but in good shape. Ball washers rather dilapidated but present on every hole. Greens are fast. Fairways in good condition.

From Alex in the bar to Greg in the kitchen and the Sam and the rest of the fellas in the pro shop, this place is run by pros who know how to take care of their customers. The golf course is in the best condition ever and I continue to see more and more upgrades with every round I play. This is also the best deal in the county at $55 which includes a great tasting meal and range balls. I am a member of the mens club here and its extremely well organized, and the tournaments are alot of fun. Thanks John Zaruka for making the improvements that you have made and continue to make.

The pace of play was remarkably good given how crowded it was. The greens were punched so they were very slow and bumpy, but that is to be expected given the time of year.

The new management team and Sam Gardner have turned this once pristine golf course around after the disastrous previous owner...who ran this course in the ground and did nothing but milk it and put nothing back into it .Those days are over . This course has undergone a metamorphosis. It was a complete awesome day playing here.You can tell they are working hard to change...and it shows . Greens are super true and wonderful to putt ...fairways are getting better than I’ve seen it in years .Sam is a great ambassador for this course and Mike made us feel welcome.The last time I was here the old people had an ex cop by the name of Steve Ramirez who has/had absolutely no people skills and chased people away with hassling them ...why spend money and have a person yell and constantly be irritated.Glad he was gone .Do yourself a favor and play here ....you won’t be disappointed

I was attending my Sons wedding. The staff was wonderful. The banquet room where the reception followed was very nice. Food was very good. Lovely surrounding grounds.

The price doubled during the COVID and didnt notice any improvements in the course. Will play elsewhere for less money.Why you do these?

My niece got married here, it was a beautiful day for both the weather and the friendliness of the staff and hosts.

Attended a wedding here as a vendor. Great staff and great event planner. Awesome wedding ceremony location. I hope to be back.

Golf course was in great condition and the green fees are at a great price.

Let me start with the food. It was very tasty n good size portions. Tables were set adequately n drinks were plentiful n cold. What made this less than a 5 star, was the noise from the restaurant next door. Open windows (at ceiling level) let in too much noise which made it difficult to hear our speakers.It is well worth the visit.

Decent place to play for the money. Only play in the afternoon when rates are cheap. Greens in decent shape. Fairways could use some work but they are getting better. Bunkers are nothing but packed dirt, I just pull my ball out and hit it off the grass. My two complaints are that when you’re playing close to sundown they drive around telling you to have the cart back by a certain time, which was kind of annoying, cause they’re trying to tell you that they want to go home and don’t want you to finish. Also, we were playing on a Saturday afternoon, there was no beer cart running around, it was just sitting at the club house the entire time. So make sure if you like drinking while you play that you get beers before you head out.

If you’re looking for a bargain with a fairly good quality course, this is your place. With that said, the price is low for a reason. They stack the tee times and there is ZERO enforcement on the course for pace of play. Expect to take 6hr for your round. It is ridiculous. They run out of golf carts and force you to wait until one is turned in.As for the course itself, I thoroughly enjoy it. Greens are in good condition and most portions of the fairways play great. If you go, stick to a weekday or after 3pm on a weekend.

I always have a good time at this course. Of course I seemed to lose my way around each time I play it. They could have more obvious directions. Food is good and the pro shop staff were cool.

Course is nice except for the dry grass. Course layout is perfect. When I was there I paid $40 for cart, a small buckeye of range balls and a good lunch. If they can get more water there it would be perfect.

It was an amazing experience. Was there for an evening wedding. Everything was set up and ready to go once we arrived. The wait staff and bartenders worked diligently and were a pleasure to be around. It was an awesome experience and appeared to run flawlessly. General manager and head golf pro Lee Harlow has really turned the conditions of Sterling Hills around. The fairways are mostly lush and green. This is only going to get better. It is good for golfers that this golf course has been acquired by a true business man and golf enthusiast. John thanks for your dedication to this course and hiring Lee.

This was a great place for a Christmas party. Looks like a nice golf course to play at as well. I have not played golf in long time but I will keep this place in mind.

Course was totally torn up,employees very unfriendly. We paid for lunch with our reservations, told it didnt apply when we got. Wont play there again.

Love golfing at Sterling Hills. Everyone working here to make this place great are super friendly and helpful and always have a smile on their face. Course is always in great conditions, fun course with great prices and with its fair share of challenges, and definitely grab some food on the turn, cant go wrong with anything they got cooking up, my personal favorite is the cheese steak. Check it out if in the camarillo area.

The greens are great but the course is not in very good condition. Doing alot of work so hope this summer its in great shape.

Beautiful day with no waiting on the course. Greens were smooth but not a lot of hold. This was our first time there, we will defiantly be back. A marshal was very kind making sure we didnt get lost, nicest marshal weve ever met. Sandwhich was good. They were just starting a wedding as we were leaving, looked nice.

I have not played at the course for several years. My son and I played 36 holes in about 6 -1/2 hours and enjoyed the course. The greens were nice and very challenging, but the rest of the course was disappointing. The tee boxes were a bit shabby and the faiways were less than desirable. To put it simply they need to reevaluate their website and just make it a public course from the semi-private atmosphere . The green fees are a bit high for the condition the course is in and they dont give any breaks to Jr golfers.New ownership is in place so hopefully they will bring the course back into shape.

Drove over 2 1/2 hours to play this course. Played the course with my son and wife, yesterday, June 30, 2013. The course was in really good condition. The range was in good condition, the range balls were fairly new, and the employees were friendly. This is a great course layout with several tees to choose from. Its suitable for any handicap. The most difficult aspect of the course is putting. The greens were relatively slow compared to what we were accustomed to. All of the carts were in good condition and equippped with GPS. We would not hesitate to recommend this course for the price. Its good value for SO CAL.

Course is under new management dead spots in the fairways the lakes are drying up bunkers Need sand they have a flat rate of $40 comes with small bucket of balls cart and lunch you can walk but its still $40. Hopefully they will turn the playing conditions around!

Great course, usually on the cheaper side but has quality greens and a great view in certain areas. Grass range as well which is nice. Some of the fairways could use help, but overall one of the better reasonable public courses in the area. P.s- the loaded quesadilla is phenomenal

The course is decent but do not go on Saturday. They do not offer any discounts and youll pay $80 with a cart. If you obtain the Ventura County Axxess card, they have a good discount and youll pay $40 with a cart on any other day besides Saturday. They offer Military discount on any other day besides Saturday as well.

One of the better tracks in the area when the keep it in good condition. Bring a range finder cause they took the gps out of all the carts. Better that way cause they were wonky to begin with. Lost a star for the staff. Hit or miss Id say.

The course is looking better and you can see they are putting money into improving the fairways, etc.

Terrible experience, our cart died and we had to walk all the way back to the club house from the 16th hole. Dont waste your money here
