I would say 3.5 stars would be more accurate. The staff was very friendly and the food was good at the snack bar.The course is in decent shape. Fairways are burmuda grass and are in good shape. The greens were not the best several had bare areas where you had to move your ball several feet if you wanted to putt on all grass. The course had several dog legs which are not easy to read if you never played here.We paid about $32 for 18 and cart, which is not bad. I would play here again if they get the greens fixed.

I have a fantastic visit whenever I am at The Prairies Golf Club. The golfers here maintain the green by repairing their divots. This, sadly, is rare for the area. I enjoy the relatively easy course and the large assortment of wildlife in the small ponds and lakes around the course.I have noticed that many of the reviews for this place are from folks who were displeased. I have just started golf this summer and played every week or twice a week at various places around the metro-east and The Prairies Golf Club in Cahokia has been one of my favorite affordable courses. The course does not play incredibly difficult here but is relatively well maintained with greens in pretty good condition.I take a lot of my friends golfing with me and we all enjoy The Prairies.

Do not come here. Worst course I have played in Missouri and Illinois. You might think it will be okay because of the price, but it’s not even worth it. You would rather play somewhere else for 10-15$ more. Worst layout on a course I have ever seen. I repeat do not come here.

Great course for the very low price. It is maintained fairly well, however more geese on several fairways than I would like to see. Beer is very cheap as well and they have a good variety. Employees are friendly. Also bring bug spray, last time I was there the bugs were BAD

Given the amount of rain that weve had in the past few months, the course has held up well. Greens are in great shape and yes, there is a lot of thin areas of fairways. Yes, it is a muni course but I really think more people need to play this course. Was not busy at all.

I think this is a great muni course. Great value for the conditions. Fairways adequate, just patchy here and there. Greens have rolled true for most of the dozen years Ive been playing here. Typically on the faster side but been a but slower the last couple of times.Friendly staff. Good burgers to fuel you for the back nine. Interesting and challenging layout. We always have a good time here.

This was a one and done course. Be prepared to lose a lot of balls as the fairways are narrow and the rough long. No first cut - you go from (moderately) mowed fairway to 4 grass. The only positive was the price ($15).

Course was very rough but it was early season. The pace of play is unbearably slow! 6 hour rounds are not acceptable and management needs to do a much better job of keeping things moving. There are much better courses around that can get you finished in 4 hours.

Played here this evening. Very good price of $20. Unfortunately, whole 4 was covered in leaves from the fairway to the green. You could not find a ball on the fairway or put the green. Hole 7 had a small pond that has barly any water. There were about 6 dead huge catfish just laying there in the puddle. The smell was awful. The greens as a whole were not taken care of. Putting was tough since they were tore up pretty bad. I would not reccomend this course.

They have no Marshalls to keep keep order on the course. Groups of 5 and 6 going off at any hole they want. Up to 10 to 15 minute wait at various tee boxes . My friends and I are not going back anytime soon.

New management has the grass to long. Dead grass clumps litter the entire course. They aerated the greens and didnt put sand down. Very amateurish especially for a golf course management company.
