Excellent museum. Housed in a very nice, purpose-built structure, the artwork is displayed professionally and is stunning. The jade and ivory is spectacular. There are a large number of objects with exquisite detail that can only be fully appreciated in person. Nice little gift shop. The entry fee is low and parking is free. Easy to find, only a short walk from Main Street.

Wonderful docent - personal friend of the woman who collected the art. Beautiful professional display of fabulous Chinese and Japanese artifacts - large jade and ivory sculptures.

It’s a beautiful space and amazing to see how German arts connect and were influenced by Chinese arts. The value of going is definitely worth the small cost. Worth the 1 hour drive from Pittsburgh! Plus, exploring Butler is a fantastic day or weekend opportunity.

This is a gem of a museum in the heart of Butler. The history of this place connected to a prominent family and providing a rich cultural overview of both Japanese and Chinese history through collectible artifacts makes this a must visit when in town.

Ive been to the Maradon 4 times. Each time I take friends or family along. I want them to experience the museum & all it has to offer. The jades are breathtaking and the Ivory pieces are all so beautifully done. I love the huge wall with the netsuke collection. I find something new on that wall every time. I cant express how glad I am that this incredible museum is in our locality. I feel it warrants much more publicity. The ladies that work there are very knowledgeable & pleasant. Its an experience no one should miss....

Asian pieces take my breath away. That ivory egret is still my favorite. If you come to visit from out of town, stop into Natilis North for good eating too & its only blocks away.
