We love Preston Park. The new improvements are great! A real restroom not a porta potty. Now there is an in and out drive way. More parking. A great place close to home.

Map is perfect w/ distances to judge time it will take (was fighting sunset when I visited, from out-of-town). Grounds are very, very well-maintained & except grass cutting & major maintenance (which is done by boro?), seems to be done all by volunteers. Brochure tickles my history curiosity & has me planning some research into more about who Dr Preston was. So glad this special place has been preserved & is so well maintained.

My husband and I shared our first date here 9 years ago, and we keep coming back. Such a hidden treasure right outside of Butler City. Full of a variety of landscapes, lots of neat trees, older buildings and a few ponds. There are plenty of trails to explore and grounds to walk while visiting which will bring you back for more. So beautiful and serene!

Omg the place is being slowly ruined. Many of the things like the fossil brain coral for example are just gone. Where is it? tin temple gone. The reflecting pool gone. The spring is poorly boarded up. Really ruined the once great place for a tolit.

Much bigger of a park than you might expect! We spent some time geocaching, hiking trails, and saying hi to the dogs out on a walk. No playground but still a nice family stop.

I love this park, the trees are beautiful and there is actually a way to take a tour of the property. Its kid and pet friendly with multiple trails and a wide open grassy area to run around in. There is a pavilion area and a swing bench. There are also multiple picnic benches and trash cans. This park is very clean. Theres also a decent sized pond in the back of the park.

Quiet, still, peaceful, beautiful, alive, relaxing. All words that can describe this amazing place. I love escaping here to take my dogs on a nature walk. The scenic trails through the woods or by the lakes and fields give you options to satisfy your senses.

I really do love the park, however they removed to many of the larger trees and not enough of the dead ones. You can tell they were only removed for money and not safety, especially since I passed plenty of dead trees that need to come down.

This a very beautiful and interesting place. You can easily use a jeep stroller on the well defined trails. The largest loop can be hiked in less than 2 hours. Its a great place to bring the kids for a short hike. The maps of the trails leaves a little to be desired but the place is relatively small so its not a huge deal. Just make sure you dont inadvertently stay on one of the trails that leaves the property or you may be hiking a little longer than you intent to.

An absolutely beautiful park nestled right in the middle of busy Butler Township. It is a quiet, forested, 90-acre retreat that was once Dr. Frank Prestons private laboratory and home. Theres something there for everyone: hiking trails, picnic tables, a large pond for fishing, and an arboretum with many different species of trees. The park is also home to seven state champion trees! I go there all the time. I highly recommend it to others.
