We have always enjoyed this theater. Went before the recliners and enjoy it more WITH the recliners. It can always be counted on to be clean. That would be the lobby, hallways and theaters. We have also found the help to be very helpful and nice.’We would appreciate the group adding REAL butter for popcorn. The imitation is very tough on your system..Also, with the imitation butter being so far from the actual serving area ... you either go without your popcorn getting the imitation stuff/real butter 1/2 down in the container. Of course, you can hold up the entire line waiting for service, while you leave the counter to do that. I doubt you want that done.Please consider moving the BUTTER machineback for the servers to use and add the choice of REAL BUTTER. Yes, we know it will cost more.

This was one of the best IMAX theaters that Ive been to. The IMAX screen and sound was crystal clear and is worth the drive. Most of the staff I dealt with were friendly and inviting. I thought the design and statues in the lobby were a nice touch which is why I was tempted to take out my camera phone.I havent tried their food and drinks yet because it looked pricey. But I might try it one day to get the full theater experience. I would recommend coming here to catch a movie in IMAX which makes you feel like youre there and provides a great escape for a couple hours. Just wish the seats were a bit more comfortable but its bearable.

They have arcade rooms to play various games and win prizes.. Will definitely be back..

Pretty sweet. Loved the interior of the building. Super cool ancient Roman vibe (big statues, sculptures, and art). Sweet little arcade. The IMAX is LOUD! I expected to be but it was louder than anticipated, in case you bring kids. Comfy seats.

I have been to a lot of theaters in my life and this is one of the best. The interior is amazing and they have Imax. Great seating, beer and wine.

This is a great movie theater! I like the friendly people who work there. I like the decor. It reminds me of Greek mythology. Its normally nice and clean when I go in. Even the bathrooms are! I like all the different types of food they have in concessions. I particularly like the chicken strips and pizza. The butter dispensers are pretty cool. Id rather put on my own butter and salt. That way I can control how much I want on there. And I love the recliners in each theater. I like to take a blanket in with me and really stretch out in the chairs. Its the best way to watch a movie!

I hosted my daughter’s birthday party here today and I just want to tell how amazing our experience was! Starting with the planning phase, I was able to be in frequent and good communication with the managers via email or phone and they help me get everything set up very easily. We had an awesome party with about 12 kids and their parents and access to the party room was fantastic! Everyone was so nice and helpful and loved their experience. I would highly recommend theater and their staff.

Wow. Over the top first impression. Towering statues welcome you once beyond the ticket booths. Has an oversized screen I-Max theater as one option. (No leather recliners) the others are still large enough screens, but with leather recliners. Seating appointments required. Extremely roomy. Great temperature and volume for the movie showing. Nice large game room. Has a bar on the second floor that overlooks the lower level reception area and access to balcony seats.

Good theater to go to a movie at. Comfy reclining seats with walkroom for other patrons even with feet up. However, bathrooms needed repair. Loose faucet and toilet that leaked from the underneath side when you flushed. Some minor repairs could be done, but otherwise great experience.

Love this theater! Very comfortable seating and incredibly spacious. It is one of the nicest movie theaters I have been to. If there is a movie you are interested in seeing then this is the place to go!

This theatre used to be Paragon but has since changed to CMX. I really like this theatre and the cool statues and decor. The seats in most of the theater rooms are the nice reclining ones. The IMAX theater room seats are the old school seats that dont recline but its still worth seeing a movie in that room because of the size of the screen. The location has plenty of parking. It shares a parking lot with the Burnsville Mall.

This is a really nice theater. I love the decor...as if you have traveled to Atlantis to see your movie. They offer a variety of food and alcoholic beverages. The seats recline and are fairly comfortable. This is one of my favorite theaters.

It is a nice place to take your family and watch movies. The placement of bathrooms are very convent so they are right outside your theater. Overall a pretty good place.

My wife and I enjoy the reclining seats and the concessions are great. We saw a movie today in the Imax Theater, the movie was very good but unfortunately the sound was at times uncomfortably loud.

I love going to see movies here. The lines are usually not long. With ticket sellers as well as ticket kiosks located as soon as you walk in the lines keep moving. The concessions are resonably priced (about the same as any other theater). The bathrooms have been clean everytime Ive attended. AND NOW FOR MY FAVORITE PART. ....the seats recline and you have a generous amount of leg room. Its like having a personalized lazy boy! It makes the movie going experience 10 times better. Stadium seating is a thing of the past. This will be my location of choice for all upcomong movies!

Good modern theater with reclining seats, digital projection, etc. This theater has followed what seems to be a trend in having assigned seats (aka reserved seating) which, for me at least, has made moviegoing a whole lot more pleasant, especially with busy screenings. (Ive only been to a handful of movies in the past 10 years. With theaters like this, I should go more often.)

I moved here from Chicago. Im an AMC Stubs member and still choose this theater through and through. Very comfortable seating, accommodating staff, and overall good vibe.

The spacious reclined seating just does it for me that I no longer go anywhere else. I tell friends/family that havent been here about this needing to be their only theater choice. I tend to go on Tuesday nights with the great pricing. People bring their blankets with them and its such a cozy atmosphere feeling even when the seats are filled.

Lots of fun. Lots of snacks and food selection. Also I’ve never been to a theater that serves alcohol. So that was cool. And affordable.

Go to celebrate my birthday with my sister at this theater due to it having a bar and told no bartender available. It was 50 minutes after sign states bar is open. Told by manager nothing she can do. Ask where her boss is. Manager says he is here. Get general manager for same story. No one is here yet that can sell drinks. Thanks for the great customer service. Many nice theaters now. Will not waste money here again.

Pretty amazing theater. They have a bar you can get food are or drinks. The theater is set up nicely. Most of the staff is very friendly. Only ever had 1 problem and the manager was kind and made up for the problem quickly. Seats are comfy too.

One of my favorite theaters. IMAX seating can feel a bit crowded when its a popular movie, but the style of seating is clever and there arent many bad seats.The non IMAX showings are still enormous screens, plus most are recliner seating. Only downside is that if you slip too low in the chair you cant see the bottom of the screen! Very spacious, though.

Clean movie theater with nice plush black seats different then the red ones. The sculptures there also make it look very fancy i might add. Overall i will go again.

The screen quality was what you would expect in an IMAX, but the overall feel of the theater was cramped. The seats are not the recliners youve come to expect in theaters; they are rocking chairs which are practically stacked on top of each other. We experienced lots of chair kicking, and I cant imagine needing to get up during the movie to use the restroom; youd have to climb over your neighbor for sure. We didnt think the IMAX was worth the money and will stick with the normal theaters from now on.

Amazing lounge area. Greek style statues and decor. Food and drink could use a bit of an upgrade though. Viewing experience was good for todays expectations. Price is right too. Really a 4.5 for the value here.

Very friendly staff. We were greeted no less than 4 times at different parts of the theater.Even for an older movie, the theater itself was good sized and had decent sound. It wasnt Atmos but I didnt expect that for a 30 day old movie.Weve got young kids so going to a movie is rare. Good experience overall so a good use of babysitting time.

This is one of MNs first theatre that offered leather recliners and giant IMAX screens. Located across from the mall and easily spotted off of county Rd 42 and 35WS. They offer self service kiosk and ticket booth purchases. Great place to take the family and friends.

Went to Alladin (1:15PM) today with my kids. Kids were having fun, but like kids, there were a few bathroom trips. On my second trip I was walking into the Men’s restroom (near the entrance) carrying my son and ended up falling on my back. At the time all I was concerned with my ensuring my son was okay. I shrugged it off and got him back to the movie (avoiding the large pool of water). No caution sign. Nothing. I called the manager that night and made them aware that my son is now complaining of a sore leg, and my side/back is now aching. I’ve left my phone number in the hopes of a resolution.

One of the newer theaters around. Has a bar upstairs with a wide variety of beers and spirits. There is even access to the upstairs bar from a couple theaters. A good amount of screens with an imax for one. For kids there is a decent sized arcade to play while waiting.

This is the best theater in MN in my opinion. They have the best seats and their prices are not extremely expensive. They even have $5 Tuesdays - hardly anyone does that.I used to travel half an hour every Tuesday to come to this theater. Ive moved closer and come here frequently. The staff is always friendly and the bar is great! The bartenders make the most delicious drinks. I recommend this theater to all of my friends and family.

Interesting lobby. Seats in the theater were comfortable and they had electric recline. Bit pricey, but worth it for the right flick.

The theater entrance is amazing. The theater itself, the seats are a bit close side to side but they are really comfortable. They dont really have places to put drinks or food, the drink holders are low and very close to your neighbor. The food selection......... of you want anything satisfying it is lacking. Its also overpriced, but that is expected is the theater. The parking area is atrocious. All in all, a mid level experience.

We went to a 10:10pm movie and sat in the adult club level. A couple dollars more for more comfort is worth it to us. The seats here are larger and are in sections of four. You can lift the center armrest to make it a love seat. No lines. Relaxed and slow atmosphere when we were there which was fine because we were early for our movie. The full bar is nice outside the club level to have a drink during the movie. The theatre itself is new and interesting to look at. Clean as well.

Oh my goodness I love going here for movies it has an a ancient Greek feel to it. The prices are up there but its amazingly beautiful some auditoriums have chairs where you can click a button and the legs come up and the back leans backwards then there are the older ones where its crowded and a older style. They have a bar on the top floor. They have a bathroom to the right as soon as you enter popcorn, soft drinks and candy as straight ahead as soon as you enter. The popcorn is good they have multiple sizes from the small bag to the souvenir bucket. Its a very elegant place. I love it.

Met family from southern Minnesota, it was a half way point. Super nice movie house. Easily located off interstate, clean and welcoming attentive staff. Super stoked at the reclining chairs and being able to pre select our seats there were 7 of us. So I find others prior reviews of seat selection hard to imagine if one did their research as this is the new age of picture shows. Welcome to the new age folks.Pricey to most on snacks but one can get an adult beverage and feel like your viewing a film in the comfort of ones own home.I would definitely drive the 30 minutes again to this movie house with others or without.

Usually we go to AMC but tonight decided to go to CMX. Instead of going to the one at Mall of America, we went to the one in Burnsville. It was our first time at this theatre. I wasnt sure we were at CMX due to all the signage outside still reflecting the name of the old theatre, Paragon. The experience at this particular theatre was nothing like the experience at Mall of America. The CMX website states the theatre experience in their theatres offers guests an innovative and VIP movie experience. Our experience was far from VIP and innovative.The concessions was mediocre; far from VIP. The temperature in the theatre was warm and humid which provided for prime sticking to the vinyl recliner seating. My recommendation for CMX would be to shut the place down for a month and renovate to make it the true VIP and innovative experience your website states your theatres are known for. Want the true CMX experience? Go to the CMX at Mall of America.

Took the family to see Toy Story 4 and someone there made the decision to show the Downton Abbey trailer before the movie. That trailer was very inappropriate for children. My wife and I were mortified and it really ruined the entire movie for us. I sent an email through the CMX website but got no response.For some reason I think management is completely fine showing trash like this to my children, which would be unfortunate. I hate giving this local theater 1 star because there are many great things about it, but seeing that trailer was extremely jarring and unsettling.

Nice movie theater with a restaurant and bar inside where you can grab drinks and food. They also serve wine and beer at the concessions stands which is a nice perk. They have the comfiest seats. If you are going to a newer movie you should really buy the tickets ahead of time as the seats are reserved.

Hands down my favorite movie theater in the area. The IMAX here is simply the oversized screen, not the domed style I personally associate with IMAX and is not worthwhile from my experience. Theater has assigned seats that recline and are always clean.

There is no handicap door. Im just temporarily handicapped due to needing crutches and I cant even get through the doors on my own. They have handicap seating but no accessible doors??? What about someone else worse off than me?

Not the cleanest place in town. Lots of dust and empty soap dispenser in bathroom. Considering it was not a busy time of day, you would expect things to be cleaner. High matinee prices. There are better theaters in town.

Lovely movie theater. Love the reclining seats. Not a fan of the IMAX part though. Seats in comparison to standard are like traditional theaters. We were disappointed and would rather have seen the movie in one of those theaters and paid less money.

I have been VERY impressed at the re-modeling and new upgrades including a 2nd level lounge with snacks, drinks, and a beautiful view near large panoramic windows. They have the upgraded seats and good service all around - purchase tickets online before you go for best seating!

This place was awesome. Saw Avengers Endgame here. The staff was kind and prompt and the theater and restrooms were clean. The seats were comfortable but a little bit crowded.

Ever since CMX took over from Paragon service here is a joke. Nobody seems to know what theyre doing. Theyve been promising for the whole time theyve been CMX that the Rewards Program is coming. I asked one of the concessions people today when and was told maybe the holiday season. Dont remember the exact date they took over but its been at least 6 months . Never specified which holiday season.First pretzel they gave me today was cold. Mozzarella sticks overcooked. Last time I was there was about 6 months ago because the theater was dirty and the staff was completely disorganized. Not much has changed. Back then I was a regular but then I found the AMC in Apple Valley. The last straw at CMX back then was the ice machine was always empty and today I tried 3 of the ice dispensers on the 2 soda machines before I got ice. Will not be going back to this theater again. Only reason I was there today with my friend wanted to sit in a recliner. The only good thing about this theater.

Went to see Venom on the IMAX screen. Love that there refillable drinks and popcorn. Makes me feel better considering how much spent on the tickets. Comfy, cozy experience...will definitely be back.

Great theatre experience!Theres a full bar on the upper level!The season in the theatres are quite nice. The IMAX screen has plush chairs that rock back. The smaller screens have power recliners!It is always clean in the theatres and bathrooms.The staff are all happy and helpful.Definitely recommend this as a movie going experience in the South Metro!

Probably my favorite reclining seats in the area. The Pepsimax theater was really crammed in though, last time I was in it. Otherwise, the theater rooms are real nice. Average prices. The whole place seems improved since CMX took over.

Always a great place, however when I asked for beers he told me to look myself and I was not going to lose my place in line so I started asking. They didnt have 3 of the beers that I asked for saying they dont come in until tomorrow. I had to ask him what they actually had on hand . Normally a 4 to 5 star place

I really like this theater. The CMX Odyssey is our favorite theater in the area. They have nice theaters with reclining seats, a good selection of show times and movies, and mostly nice staff, (a couple less enthused, but the vast majority are helpful and kind)! The whole facility is nice, and we recommend viewing movies here to everyone! We also used to dine upstairs quite a bit, and while Im not sure if the restaurant is still up there, I would still recommend it if it still exists - is been a while! The architecture is nice, bathrooms are clean, and the is plenty of parking outside.Tip: Tuesdays are cheap days at $5 (+ tax) per person! Also, come early or book ahead online for popular movies/new releases as the seats are reserved!

Was a grand experience, for only 3 of us in there, they had first pick of seats and chose the very last row middle of that row. I pick middle of the row in the middle of the theater. I go in there and see idiot 1 and 2 in my seat. In an entire empty theater, they chose my one seat... This is not the first time this has happened here either.

Came here for Captain Marvel. Recliner seats and wide aisles are a big plus. Tickets are very reasonably priced for the experience.
