Sadly, they closed for good last night (1/18/20), but they were a great locally-owned escape room shop with lots of turnover in rooms, meaning more chances to play. Accessible to all skill levels too.

We took some of our scout troop to twin cities escape, and they had a blast, the owner was super awesome. She made it a super positive experience, we were sorry to hear that she is closing her doors in 3 weeks so make sure you try one of the rooms soon before there gone.

We had a great time celebrating a birthday at Twin Cities Escape Rooms! We did the Las Vegas themed puzzle which was challenging and fun. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The location is convenient and decorated so cute. We really had a blast and would recommend this experience to others! Well be back to conquer the other rooms!

My husband and I have done a few escape rooms and brought his parents with us to try the BWCAccident room. First, Kim was delightful, very welcoming and friendly. Second, I loved that there was a “mini-game” in the foyer. Since it was my in-law’s first escape game experience, this was an awesome warm-up and intro to how escape rooms work. Third, I loved the Minnesota-regional aspect of the BWCAccident room, there were some really clever clues/puzzles, and this place uses many different varieties of padlocks which I haven’t encountered at other escape rooms and creates an added layer of (fun) complexity. Sure, the bigger escape room chains might be slightly flashier and have professional corporate teams behind their designs, but there’s something about home-grown escape rooms that really make you appreciate the care and thought and cleverness that goes into creating them. That is very much the case at Twin Cities Escape Rooms. We will definitely be coming back for round 2/3/4!!!

Wow these games are fun!! Weve done 3 now and each has been a blast. The games provide different levels of difficulty and each feels wholey unique. The puzzles are fun and can really wrack your brain. We plan to hit the rest of the games soon!

Our family had so much fun at our first Escape Room experience! The perfect activity for kids and adults to enjoy together. Challenging and fun! Our daughter has been to a couple of other escape rooms with friends, and said she really loved Twin Cities Escape Rooms in comparison .

Okay, so I am a former employee here, so obviously have some inherent bias, but Im writing this from my perspective as an escape room enthusiast.Twin Cities Escape Rooms (or TCER for short) is an excellent puzzle room experience!With a nicely decorated lobby and a very friendly staff, it is warm and welcoming from your first step in the door. As for the rooms themselves, the puzzles are some of the best Ive seen, with a good mix of math, logic, and language puzzles with not too much search and find (my least favorite type of puzzle).Theyre always rotating their room offerings, including creating temporary holiday themed games, which means those of us who love them (and have already played all of their games) can come back and play new rooms two or three times a year!Finally, TCER has a wide range of original themes and difficulty levels (from 30% to 90% escape rates), and most of their games are very family friendly! Whether youre searching for the hidden Oscars, saving the carnival, lost in the woods, or grounded to your room for a year, Twin Cities Escape Rooms comes up with creative and fun rooms that anyone can enjoy!

After playing room escape games on line for years I was so excited to try a live experience!! Between my 30 yr old son and I, we have done 7 different escape rooms in the Metro area. The Twin Cities Escape rooms are the best by far. The quality of the scenario, the props, and the clues are so spot on. We would rate this 2 stars higher than any other we’ve tried. The clues and puzzles are so clever and all pertain to the storyline of the mission. The rooms are realistic which really adds to the experience! The props are well maintained, not worn out or broken like we’ve seen in some of the others we tried. The Last Will and testament is my favorite but the BWCA room is a very close second. It is well worth the trip across the river! You will not be disappointed! In case you are wondering we did manage to escape both rooms! So fun!!

My daughter and her friends had a wonderful time at Twin Cities Escape Rooms. A very challenging experience and they were lucky enough to solve it within the allotted time. The staff was fantastic and they will recommend it to their friends. Truly a great experience.

Had our corporate holiday party at Twin Cities Escape Rooms on 1/30/18. It was SO MUCH FUN! Creative minds there to come up with the puzzles in those rooms. Everyone in our group had a great time and I would definitely go back. Connor and Rob were great hosts also! And thanks to Kim for being so accommodating with game start time and allowing our group to reserve on a day the business is usually closed.

Weve played two different rooms here. Most recently the BWCA escape room. The owners are fantastic and the rooms are fun and challenging. There are options for all group sizes and ages. Highly recommend!

Did the BWCAccident and loved it! Well put together and I love the capacity and that a large group can still all play together! Game 365 seemed a bit disjointed to me, but that might have just been me. But I had a group of 23 that wanted to do it all together and Kim was super nice to work with over the phone, and Robb and Connor did a good job corralling such a big group of us. I would definitely recommend it!

This escape room is pretty mediocre compared to many in the area. It was a fun room with some neat puzzles, but it was easy and quite short. My biggest complaint was the lack of immersion. While many places have an amazing atmosphere, it was glaringly obvious that you were just in a conference room in an office park. This place would be good for families who want an easy room for their kids. I recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Booked our Escape Room for our sons birthday party. Connor did an amazing job making the room kid friendly, yet challenging. Boys had a blast! Will definitely be back!!

I’ve done every room at Twin Cities Escape Rooms and have loved them all! We’ve hosted kid birthday parties there, done rooms as just our family - there’s something for every group. The puzzles are challenging and make your brain work in different ways. The staff there is wonderful - they do a great job of prepping each group to let them know some of the different locks they may encounter, and give tips on how to work as a team.Can’t wait for another room to be built so I can go back!

Good experience!This is a bit pricey in my opinion, but I think escape rooms tend to be that way.The owner/host chatted with our group for a while after we finished since we were done in record time. She seemed quite personable!I cant compare this to other escape rooms since I havent been to any, but this seemed like a fun experience - but maybe something Im not keen to do again soon because of how expensive it is. Great group activity, maybe not a great first date.

Our family did our first escape room. We had a great time. We did the Last Will and Testament Room. The room was challenging, forcing us to really work together to solve it. We made it in time. We recommend Twin Cities Escape Roons! They do a very nice job!

Had 15 of the family to the Boundary Waters escape room. This was my first time at an escape room and Kim Frantz was wonderful with the explanations and some general hints as how to attack the puzzle. Very clever set up and all of us from age 61 to 8 had a great time.

The puzzles were extremely challenging and fun, I had a blast and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this to any puzzle enthusiasts.

My group had a blast escaping from the Last Will and Testament room! The room setup​ and clues are different than any other room I have done. Fun and tricky!

Worst escape room Ive done in the cities. It was insanely hard, the clues were garbage, and the immersion into the plot was terrible. Most rooms have other rooms that open as the story goes on, but ours didnt, which made for a boring experience.Wouldnt go back if you paid me.

Fun for the hole family. You can get out if you need to uses the bathroom or to take a phone call. It is fun cause they give you hints when you need them.

Today we did two rooms, BWCAccident and Holiday Hijinx. Both rooms were thought out very well and executed perfectly. Our host, the owner, instructed us before the games and helped us along with excellent clues when needed. Our 5 kids loved every minute of the excitement.If you are a huge Escape Room fan, BWCA is a great challenge and a ton of anxiety filled fun.We highly recommend it to everyone!Rick, Jen, and family!
