This place is pretty cool. I had no idea Burlington even had a park like this until I rode through the area the other day. Everything is closed right now because of the pandemic but they have a carousel,a larger train to ride and a smaller train attraction for kids to ride by themselves as well. Very large parking lot along with numerous shelters and bathroom access. There are grills at most of the sheltered areas and a large playground along with a sandbox for the kids.

Been going here since I was a kid. Now I take my kids. Love the rides they have for the kids. Nice place to have birthday parties also. Or if u just want to take a walk.

This is a great park for families! There are lots of things to do here! From March until October, the amusement rides are open! The train and the carousel are fun for riders of all ages! The carousel is currently under repair, but it is scheduled to open at the beginning of summer 2018. I love that they offer a family season pass for $90 for up to six people! This park also has nice walking trails and a decent playground!

Seems like a nice park. The carousel will be closed for a few years. Most of the rides are for kids under 7. The train goes around 3x and dont forget to scream when you go in the tunnel. Bathroom was clean. Splash pad was a good size, just really crowded. The staff keeps track of how many people are inside. There was plenty of shade with tables under the canopy.

A gem of a park within the heart of Burlington! A historic carousel, train and other kid rides create a fun atmosphere for the entire family. On occasion, there are a plethora of vendors and booths with arts and crafts and foods of all types. Great park to visit anytime but check the calendar for events!

Burlington has this terrific city park that is just right for children and adults. Attractive and well maintained, it is a pleasure to visit. I love that it had some of the very attractions I remember as a child. My grandchildren had a great afternoon there while we were visiting relatives. They are eager to visit again. If you live in the area, take advantage of this treasure.

My family loves to go to the Burlington City Park because its just simply the best park around. There are so many reasons I could just go on and on all day but I will only list a few. They have great festivals, a great playground for the kids great shelters to rent out for birthday parties and they actually have rides for the children as well that are very cheap and affordable.

We drove an hour to come to Burlington City Park to ride the haunted ghost train and it was a lot of fun! Super yummy popcorn and cotton candy at the concession stand for great prices, too. It’s a lovely park and we plan to go back in Spring during the day time to enjoy the rest of what it has to offer.

It was clean and sort of bizarre with covid-19 closed rides made it feel like some scary Clown movie.

I visit this park at least twice per week. It is clean and seems safe. The trail walkways are maintained and covered in shade. There are many pokemon stops if you are into that...so I have heard...

Closed this time a year. But a great local spot to bring the family. Nice playground concessions and a few rides that I rode as a kid and a few new ones.

A really neat park! A big surprise on a visit to see some relatives, theres a small amusement park style rides section that was really cool to see and good greenspace with a neat bridge.

Great place to walk or just spread out a blanket and enjoy the scenery. A carousel, a train and a few other smaller rides for the kids are available during the warmer months. Also, holidays and different times of the year theres usually some fun family events such as concerts, rides, carousel festival, fireworks. Its also a great place for Pokémon Go gamers.

Sound was great at Burlington City Park Amphitheater! Brought our chairs and drinks. Heard the Aaron Burdett Band play, good time.

Loved that the town had things to do for free. Wish it would have had the rides open for free as well or just opened.

I would do 5 stars but some of the rides were not open and they only take cash at the concession station. My girls were very upset about not getting to get on the rides so I promised them we would go back July 3rd so they can get on the rides and watch the fireworks. At least my girls had a ball on the playground and playing with some of the other kids.

Absolutely awesome family fun place. Even with the carousel being renovated right now it is still the place to be for an inexpensive family outing.

The amusement park was closed, but still a nice park to walk around. My son really enjoys the playground everytime we go.

It needs more for teens & adults other than the trails. But its a nice park especially for small children.

My family attended Burlingtons fireworks and 4th of July celebration at City Park on July 3rd. I love the amusement rides at the park and my son really enjoyed the train. Lots of shade at the park. Theres not a ton of immediate parking so if youre going for an event, best to get there early or plan to park at a nearby gas station or something. Overall, this is an awesome park and we will be returning.Edit:We visited again August 9th, and we were not disappointed. There was no wait, and, although the train and carousel were closed due to recent weather, my son still loved the planes, boats, and trucks. We cant wait to go back!

This is a really nice park for anyone (families or single people).They have a nice shelter area for family dinners or cookouts. Theres a carousel and other rides for small children. Theres a train that the whole family can ride. Snacks & drink area. Theres a large play area. I love this place.

It looks lovely, but be sure to call ahead. They close for private parties and mechanical issues and their website does not accurately indicate whether or not they are open to the public. Our first visit we drove half an hour and found out they were closed.

2 of the rides were down. We checked online before we drove the 1.5 hrs there with our 8 kids and didnt see anything about that. Got there and 2 rides and the train was running. So my kids were disappointed. We were not impressed the least bit. Waste of gas and money. Dont bother.

Love this place. Gave 4 stars because carousel is under renovation. Without it there is just one ride for older siblings. Be sure to bring cash they do not accept cards. Nice value.

Have a lot if memories here as a child. As does my mom when she was a child. Few little places for a quick walk. Has been clean everytime I have been. Enjoy this area just wish it was bigger.

I was there for the Independence Day fireworks. Good show, live music. Patriotic music during the fireworks.

It had a number of things to keep you enjoying the park. And Its child friendly.Its large enough, where you dont have to wait in long lines.A fun place to be.

The park is very pretty wthe new shining rides. But I really think that the carousel deserves to be back in its original home. If you are concerned about possible flooding then elevate it some. Or just put it up on top of the big hill.

I love going to city park with my children because its a great place but today I saw about 4 people smoking near the children and I didnt like that a bit. City Park should be smoke free!

We visited for the first time at this park. We were very impressed with the way things were put together professionally. Friendly people and staff. Prices were very reasonable. At the concession stand there is a map that you can request so you can not get lost and enjoy all of the parks perks and fun!!! Fun for ALL ages!!!!

Burlington City Park is a lovely place to spend some time. It is clean and well maintained.

I love taking my grandson here to play.. He loves the jungle gym.. And the swings.. And on weekends they have the rides open.. Omgosh, he really goes wild! Running through the park, enjoying the fresh air and being with his Nana.. Me.. I really love being with my grandson and will continue to bring him to this park!

Fun cheap amusement for the kiddos, our son loved the choo choo train the best! Airplanes are currently under maintenance but they hope to have them back up and running by the end of the summer.

Have been going to City Park since I was a kid and now I take my twins here. The park is clean and the play areas are well maintained. The train and carousel are the main attractions.

They have a train for all ages and adults. The games still open are for more small kids. I wish they had more things for bigger kids to do that are fun tho.

Me an my husband just enjoyed the atmosphere very welcoming to the naked eye. If you enjoy mother nature this is the place for you. Especially when the weather is very nice you just watch the birds and listen to them communicate n search for worms. It relaxes the mind body heart an soul. Take a nice stroll through this park.

Outdoors just open fun

I loved the park. My family and I went today and had a blast. The only thing is my to oldest kids. Didnt have anything else to ride. Because they were too big other than the . So if you all could get something for the older kids. It be great thank you and have a happy Easter!

Burlington City Park is a great place to take your kids or siblings, you can meet all sorts of people here and the amusement rides they have are a nice way to keep your kids/siblings enternained, the concessions are good as well if in a hot sunny day you need a drink, do be careful if you visit more later on in the day, the park has a new policy in place and lock gates and exits later at night and youd have to called BPD to come and get ya out, all in all great place to hang out at, Id recommend for anyone looking for a good time.

I love to ride the train,and I can hardly wait until the Carousel return back.

I consider it a very nice park. Has rides for children, several ball parks for adults, very nice walking track which is fenced in, 2 dog park/play areas, YMCA, covered shelters for groups/cookouts, rentable facility, great old style mini train ride for children and adults. There are many activities through out the year such as fireworks in July and October. Its a nice large park that covers 2 city blocks. Its a Jewel of Bigger, Better, Burlington!

Very nice and clean park with amusement rides, a train and a large playground. They usually have events on weekends during the spring and summer also. A great place to watch fireworks on the Fourth of July. Nice picnic areas with well maintained tables, trash facilities. Would have been five stars, but the restrooms are typically pretty bad.

If you have small children, this is a wonderful day trip for you. In addition to the rides (very cheap if you ask me) and the train, you also have the restored Carousel (Merry-go-round) which is a riot to ride. Plenty of parking, wheelchair accessible, free playgrounds and walking paths. Very safe. Patrolled neighborhood.

I always enjoy this place when Im there. Wish they could get the carousel fixed a little faster. Would like to see and take a ride on that.
