I have played this course since it opened. Good and bad . However, for the last two seasons I am grateful to the groundskeeper and his associates as well as the golfing staff as well as the barn workers. It is my favorite course in the DFW area. Yes, its out of the way but the charm of being truly outdoors ob the front nine with zero homes is a blessing. Ive seen rabbits, cattle, snakes, wolves,coyotes and various other types of woodland creatures. If you tee off early enough, on some days the local high school band is practicing. A great place. We had our wedding at the Oaks Event Center. The golf course is beautiful and the staff are wonderful. I highly recommend this for either your golf or tennis needs or any event you would like to have.

They hosted celebration of life for a death in the family. They did a splendid job. Good food and drink. Beautiful place. Recommend highly for any event.

Nice country club the golf course in a great shape Staff so friendly took my son to play practice round before his tournament and forget umbrella in the golf cart. The next day morning go ask at the pro-shop the staff check at loss and found didn’t see it and call the cart barn to check and about 5 minutes staff from cart barn bring it for me I’m really appreciate for all of them to help find my umbrella.

Beautiful and challenges in disguise

Did not play.Went to practice at the range and we had to search for balls to hit.Ball bags were practically empty.They must have been short handed with staffing.Other than that, had a good time.

Excellent, track! First time to play it and really enjoyed the round. Greens were a bit slow due to recent maintenance. Overall, worth the trip to Burleson.

We were invited to the Southern Oaks Club for a company Christmas party. We had 2 other dont miss parties that night. Due to logistics, Southern Oaks was the last party we went to and got there very late. Bad timing at the first two parties meant we had nothing to eat all night. By the time we got to Southern Oaks the food had been cleaned up, there was nothing left at all. We must have looked very sad because the next thing we know the Southern Oaks staff somehow came up with two plates of wonderful food for us! Boy were we happy and very grateful. You dont get service like that anymore! We were very grateful that night for the awesome generosity and service we received from The Southern Oaks Club that night. They treated us better than right!

This course is in great shape and they have senior and military discounts on weekends. Staff is great and helpful.

It is a beautiful place for any occasions. Nice and neat staff.

Wonderful Wedding Venue. Affordable compared to the price of other Venues for Weddings. The Brides Room was set up with several chairs for doing hair and makeup. Very nice establishment and good personnel. I wont quote a price, thats for you to workout with them. They were very accommodatable. Yoo-hoo the last of them are out of the nest!!!

This is a great place to have any kind of event. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The owners of the event center really care about thier customers.

Played for my first time in a long time. Course was in great shape other than dormant fairways. The set up with parking lot and pro shop is a little weird. The practice facility is awesome. Staff is great. Had one of the best burgers at a course in a long time.

Course is in great shape and they are putting a bar in the pro shop. I had not played there in years but this is best shape i have ever seen this course. Fairways and greens both great

First time to play since the reopen. The course is in pretty good condition. The pro shop has been moved and the new setup is a little honked-up. Youll just have to see for yourself. Had lunch and I gotta say $13+ for a fair at best BLT and fries. Play the golf but pass on the food.

Great place for golf and Tennis. Has brand new about 10 tennis courts with nice pro shop. Tennis courts are next to golf course which makes it quiet without car noises. To see open green area is relaxing also unlike other courts next busy street. A lot of different tennis activities all the time and can get lessons from pro. On site restaurant is very good that taste good and nice atmosphere! Ample parking spaces.

Played this course for the first time 3/29 and really enjoyed it. Setup is great for all levels. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Tennis courts are superb. Looking at a membership.

What a amazing facility from the Golf Course to the tennis courts! The course is challenging but fun, and immaculate kept. The staff is very polite and helpful, and their venue is spectacular. Food at the restaurant is great, and the bar full service.Visit them.

Played 2 weeks ago and the course was in perfect shape. Played the Cowboys course ($200 per round) the same week and Southern Oaks was in better shape. Will be my new go to course near Fort Worth.

Beautiful golf course just South of Fort Worth. Lots of mature trees and rolling terrain. Course seems to be well kept. Good practice facility. Theyve recently added tennis courts and have several nice meeting and party rooms. It is a bit difficult to find behind Spinks airport, but worth the try.

The staff is super friendly. I stop in for some of the activities they have that are not golf related. The new owners have completely revitalized the grounds, golf course and clubhouse. They have added on an event center and soon their tennis courts will open. Next on the list is a fitness center! Cant wait to see this golfco6and community grow.

Many tennis courts and nice bathrooms, theres even a shower! Would definitely recommend playing and hosting tournaments here. Only complaint is that the lesson prices are quite high.

Played golf there today. The course is really looking good. Looking forward to playing again soon. Fairways were fluffy and allowed for a great lie. Greens were receptive and putting true. I appreciate the work that is being put into this golf course. Tip of the hat to the superintendent and the staff.

Went there to meet people who where wanting you to buy stuff. Too high price for this family. It was just a scam. Said we would get a gift card for Starbucks and it did not happen. Dont know about the golf or tennis part. It looked like a nice place to join.

Just heard it will reopen in February 2019. Great news for local golfers.

Good place for wedding

Nice place to play a round of golf then spend the afternoon inside the clubhouse and enjoy a good meal and drinks. They have nice banquet rooms that can be rented out for special occasions.

Course was lovely, sand didnt mess my putting at all. I am not sure if they will punch/sand the back nine. I suggest calling ahead of time if using Golf Now/ other online signing up services.

I got through the first nine pretty good. Got to the back 9 and apparently they let their members go off whenever they want to. It took me 45 minutes to complete whole 10 and part of 11 before I gave up. The folks in front of me had a five-year-old little boy which is totally fine but refused to let me go around. I doubt I go back

Nice place to have an office meeting but the food could have been better.

Course was beautiful, people not so friendly. Cart path only which sucked, didnt know or wouldnt have gone. 2 holes closed as well.

We had our 35th reunion there this summer. The place is great. The catered food was good and the bartenders friendly and efficient. We had the place to ourselves and the porch was the perfect place to relax with a cigar and a scotch overlooking the course.

Nice venue but doesnot have open vendor policy

Went on 6/10/2018. Front desk guy made me feel unwelcomed. Ive been there 2 times with my father-in-law who lives within walking dostance from the course and theyve always made me feel welcomed when Ive gone with him. Today was different. I went without him and when I asked about a driver they had, the front desk guy rudely said, are you going to buy it?. I then walked away. Ive been wanting a new driver and by his response, I wont be buying the M4 driver they had.Another bad thing is if you pay for the driving range ($10) they will give you a bag with about 15 balls. I can buy 48 at walmart for $13.99.I golf 4 times a week at many different courses and am a member at another course. I usully bring 3 other people who will golf where I golf.I will not be coming back to Southern Oaks.

First time here.. great experience the golf course is great and staff is very friendlyThe greens are fast and tough to read but but they roll true..but dont be on the wrong side..Layout is right in front of you..you can score well here.. its must play again..

Played 7-25.2013 and the course is in excellent shape. They need to put a cart girl out there and start cooking breakfast. Greens a fairways are great.

I guess it depends on when you are there but, while the fairways were nice, the greens sure werent worth the $48 fees. Service was very good though.

I love this course, great layout but yet challenging to play. The front nine is so peacefull its makes the worst of shots great to hit. The fairways are nice an open, so your drive off the tee is sure to play well. Some of the best green surrounds accent the beautiful soft hitting greens. The greens have came in well this year they hold well even for the amatures! For those you have been here at its worse need to come back, you have to hit rock bottom before coming back on top!!!
