I cannot recommend this class enough. If you are passionate and serious about your craft, you will love this class. Alex really cares about his students and their future. Even after the class switched to zoom during the pandemic, it was still incredibly interactive and I learned and am continuing to learn so much. If you’re looking for a class that will give you plenty to do and learn, especially during these shutdowns, this is it!

I cant say enough good things about this studio. Alex is an amazing teacher. He cares about all the students he takes on and truly wants them to be the best artists they can be. My semester was moved online via Zoom about halfway through because of COVID-19. Ill admit, I was a little unsure about learning Meisner through Zoom at first, but Im glad we kept going. I still got a ton out of the class. And there were some great benefits to the Zoom format.

The Taylor Studio is so much more than just an acting school. It is a home that truly breeds artistry. Since studying here I can am more than confident in my abilities as not just an actor, but human being. The tools taught here have carried over in to my day to day life in a way I am extraordinarily grateful for. I would recommend this program to anybody who is serious about honing in on their craft - for it is a life changing experience that you will definitely not regret.

I came to the Taylor Studio looking for an acting class. What I’ve found is a set of tools to give me confidence in any audition, on any set, with any material, and true ownership over my career.Studying with Alex has given me the skills, confidence, and perspective to take the reigns in my life personally and professionally. It has required more of me than any other class, which has led me to require more from myself and my career. Working at the Taylor Studio, I have a way of working that lets me trust myself and my technique. Having that confidence allows me to be a greater, more truthful artist and THAT is the most beautiful gift I could have hope for!Ive studied at several other schools both in LA and on the East Coast and I can say without a doubt that working at the Taylor Studio with Alex has been the best decision of my professional life.

This past Saturday, June 8th, finishing off with a phenomenal showcase, was the sunset of my 16-month training at the Taylor School of Acting.These were intense and thorough 16 months full of growth, insights and even more growth, growth, growth.Under the guidance of Alex Taylor, I grew A LOT as a craftsperson in my artistry, and even more importantly as a human being in life.Not only is the structure of the training amazing - allowing to break down acting into a simple set of tools and skills, which you tackle cumulatively one piece at a time, just like a brick upon a brick in the construction of a house - but its foremost due to Alexs devotion to, love and care for, and faith in his students that the fruits of the training come to rise.Its in how much care and commitment Alex puts in to make sure that each student, at every stage of the training, has the seed of the particular tool / skill at that stage rooted in them, so they can go ahead and water the seed to get to where they want to be. And the watering part is really where Alex makes sure the student takes ownership of THEIR work - its where the student has to do THEIR work and put in those deliberate, focused hours, as many as needed, until theyve gotten that cumulative skill being worked on at the moment BURIED in them.Due to combination of all these factors - Alexs care and devotion, him guiding towards owning your work, all the support, open heart, safe environment and community he and the school provide throughout the training - I was able to drop down from my head into my heart, connect with people on a deep human level, stand confidently in my truth, own and express it, really listen to people and answer them, deal with stuff and really DO things in a deliberate way, and most importantly, I was able to ACCEPT and TRUST myself and I OWN that.On the stage this made me a way better actor who simply LIVES TRUTHFULLY under the given imaginary circumstances; in real life this made me a better, more genuine, loving, open-hearted, empathetic and more persistent human being who follows their heart with confidence.And for this, I will forever be grateful to Alex, to the Taylor family and to my classmates and friends at the Taylor School of Acting (aka The Taylor Acting Studio).Anyone whos seriously seeking to pursue a career in acting, or already pursuing one and wants to hone in on this beautiful craft, The Taylor School of Acting is the place to go. No review can do The Taylor Studio justice. Alexs ability to teach and coach actors is unparalleled and I can say with the utmost confidence that any actor having gone through his studio is an immediate contender in the industry and understands how to work as a professional. Hes a rare gem whose ability to work with actors echoes that of a sixth sense. If youre an actor looking for a school that will push you to a new level, look no further.

The problem with acting training is you don’t know what great acting training actually is until you’ve experienced great acting training. When I came to the Taylor Studio I had a Bachelor’s Degree and had taken all those classes that you MUST have on your resume (from THAT office and THAT improv place that your rep sent you to) and within the first 3 weeks I had grown more than in all my years prior. That is not an exaggeration.There is no secret, no shortcut, no get-famous-quick BS here. There IS one of the most incredible curriculums in the history of our craft created by Sanford Meisner and honored by Alex Taylor who holds the craft to the standard it deserves, is scary good at giving you the exact notes you need to hear, and overall just goes above and beyond for his students.The rest is up to you. If you’re willing to put in the work then you will grow more than you ever imagine you could here. Everyone and their mothers in this town throws around “living truthfully under imaginary circumstances” (which is a gross misquote btw) but if you want to know what it really means, not in your head but in your blood, book your interview now.WARNING: taking this class may result in tremendous self-growth and a deep connection with the truth. Your family might think you have superpowers because you can tell what they’re thinking and when they’re lying.

Alex is a magical incredible teacher! He’s SO intuitive and he goes above and beyond for his students as he really cares. He’s seriously talented & professional whilst remaining so caring and personable! His passion and quest for the truth and using the Meisner technique to problem solve is ! I’ve seen the most amazing transforamtions in my fellow class mates and truly believe Alex has transformed lives for the better both personally and professionally ️ I am so grateful for your existence Alex

The Taylor Studio is where youll want to go if youre an actor looking to get a start on your craft and career. Alex Taylor is such an inspiration as a teacher and Im truly grateful to be learning from him.
