Small local pub with limited menu of burgers or quesadillas. We ordered a quesadilla and pizza rolls. The quesadilla was incredibly flavorful and I would highly recommend it!

My sister and I went here on 7/16/20. We were greeted by a blonde bartender who told us to turn around and go home. We then walked outside and saw a white male walk in without a problem. We asked the blonde bartender why she let him after denying us entry? She had no response. I guess this bar hires misogynist employees. Do not go here.

One of the only bars opened so far to go out for some drinks despite the post-COVID happenings. Might be a little risky, but it was nice to feel normal again!

Ive been going here for pver 6 years. The staff is fun and hard working. The food is delicious and the price is right!! There is bar seating or high top tables. They have tvs that can been seen from every seat! Great local place!

What do you notice when you walk past this place? You notice the bar off to the side that is covered like a tent to protect people from the lake effect cold. This place is rather big inside and usually has a loud crowd to fill the space. It has a comfortable sports bar feel to it.

Great bartenders, great food and great drinks. Gives you a neighborhood feel and a great place to watch games. Perfectly located on Elmwood. Opened in 2008 and this bar has become a staple in Buffalo!!!

I am from Pennsylvania, whenever I do come upto Buffalo I only come here for wings. I am a fan of spicy food and they have the spicier wings Ive ever had! Usually foods that are very spicy lack in flavor/taste, but it is not the case here, theyre wings are spicy and delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Waitress just got back from a long break but barely followed our orders and was super slow.

I was aggressively harassed at this bar for not being a Bills fan, because I’m from Colorado. As a woman it didn’t feel safe. Careful ladies, the man that harrassed me was over served and not controlled by the staff. What good was the bouncer at the door I’d they don’t use him? Not going back!

Do yourself a favor and get a well drink. $5 and it always comes in a pint glass with at least a double pour. Food is hit and miss sometimes its some of the best bar food around and sometimes its pretty mediocre.

Great beer, and great bar. The food wasnt exactly the best, but everything else made up for it. They also have a nice area upstairs to sit at when the outside temperate isnt literally the devils ass.

So, lets start here. It was New Years Eve, but no excuse. My 3 friends and I got to Thirsty Buffalo about 1:30 am but sober. We walked in the door and tried to get a drink. My Boyfriend went to the bathroom and returned through the atrium section where a bouncer grabbed him from behind and told him it was time to go. He kept saying it over and over but with no reason. I walked up to him and asked very politely what was going on because we needed to get a ride home and he refused to even look me in the eye. He didnt look quite right himself, but in all fairness he probably had a bad night, but there were people in there who couldnt stand and we are almost 30 and straight sober. I told my other friends what happened and to cancel the drinks the bartender told us it was the owner who had kicked him out. He was definitely on something or hammered drunk himself and Ill NEVER go back to that establishment.Im not a child and dont expect to be treated as one. Thanks for my 1st visit to your place Thirsty Buffalo, you just lost a neighborhood patron.

Thirsty Buffalo is the perfect name for this establishment as youll die of thirst waiting for someone to take your drink order. Made a special trip to come in for Tuesday Trivia. Should have known it was going to be a disaster when I called to ask for directions & the person on the phone had no idea how to get there. Absolutely no direction on where to get forms if you wanted to play trivia. Wanted to get a table so we could get something to eat. Nobody tried to seat us. We got a table on our own. Sat down & waited for someone to take our order. Nobody ever did. We were there for 15 minutes & during that time not one single staff person tried to interact with us to take drink or food order so we walked out. The only reason Thirsty Buffalo gets one star is because Google wont let you post if you dont give any stars.

Terrible service. Mangers drinking on the job. Didnt service us food 15 minutes before kitchen closed and didnt care they we were upset. Never going back.

I went there for drinks and dinner. The Fiesta Burger was absolutely delicious. The service was very good. And price was reasonable.

Stopped here on the buffalo pedal tours. It was trivia night and such high energy that it made me want to stay there instead of continuing on.

I used to come here all the time for brunch and football games. I went in last Saturday to find two things. One, the brunch menu was seriously cut down and changed, omitting many of the good dishes (like French toast!), when the original menu only had about 8-10 items anyways. Second, I feel like the chef had changed. The food wasnt nearly at the par it was before. It was okay, but my sandwich was a little soggy and my fries very overcooked. Unfortunately, I probably wont be back.

Today was the first time I have ever been there. It was JAM packed because of the bills game. My one friend got shoved by another person and accidentally shoved a girl who works at the bar but wasn’t currently working at the time. We apologized 100 times (even though it was not our fault) and our friend got kicked out. After that, the girl that works at Thirsty kept trying to initiate a fight with us. Very unprofessional. I am very disappointed with how this was handled. This was was suppose to be a fun time to watch the bills game and the staff of Thirsty made it frustrating and kinda ruined it.

1st issue.....The menu online was not up to date and accurate at all from food to prices and when2nd issue... when I went to pick up my togo order and after 20 mins of waiting at the bar for my for my food they never brought it.

Everyone was 40 and over. They dont have a drink menu. Only a beer list. The music was a mix between folk and rock. Not for the youger crowd or even the young at heart. They do have liquor but they are not familiar with its placement. I got a hard cider. $5 for a glass which is a good price. And it was cold which was also good. The bartenders were nice and attentive. They seemed to have a lot of regulars because they knew a lot of ppls orders as soon as they came in. If youre a beer drinker, I say try them out. But if youre 30 and under, only go if you dont mind being the youngest ones there. Theres also a sense of uncleanliness there so I probably would never order food. Trivia Tuesdays (7pm) is a great time to check it out for the first time. Also, dont worry about being cold. Unless youre directly under the ceiling fan, you wont feel the air....
