Beautiful old theater. Its great to support the arts

Beautiful theater, but the front row balcony seats should not even be used. There’s maybe 10 inches of space from the front of the chair to the balcony edge. I could barely stand after one hour of sitting in this position. After intermission, I was dreading returning to my seat. Had we known how uncomfortable we would be, I’m sure we would have selected different seats.

What a great little historic theater and a hidden gem. I saw Bridges Over Madison County and it was excellent. They sell a covered cup for $2 that you can bring back and the signature drink was $6.00. I had a lemonade with champagne and vodka and it was like two drinks. I will be going again soon.

Great place to see local talent. I only got to see Hairspray (it was fantastic). I hope to see another play or musical in the future. The theater itself is very nice.

Set for Mama Mia. The Kavinoky production are sharp & creative. So much talent in Buffalo.

OMG ... me = age 75. Among the top 10 fully committed, full out, substantial performances I have seen. Script,cast,crew are 5 stars! Please, go and see it!

Went to see To kill a mockingbird at the Kavinoky. Performance was very good. This is the second play Ive seen there The Kavinoky is an intimate performance space with good, but not great sight lines. The theater could make better use of its pa system. Sometimes it is a bit difficult to hear complex dialogue. On the (really) good side, the production values are always high, the theater is easy to get to, in a beautiful building and they have a great bar. One can purchase a covered cup for $2(!) and theyll fill it with your desired libation, cost included. All-in-all, one of the many a great locations to see live theatre in Buffalo n

Kill a Mockingbird play was fantastic. Well done, emotionally griping. The actors were excellent. They made you feel you were in that southern village with Justice and Morality versus racist hate poverty and ignorance.I would recommend buying seats with a direct view of the stage. Our view of the left side of the stage was blocked from our left balcony seats. Otherwise a fine theater.

The Kavinoky Theatre is located on the DYouville college campus. Its has beautiful architecture. Excellent seating, Every seat is a good seat. A must see. What a gem!

I have seen two plays here, amazing actors and beautiful theatre

Quality local live theater productions with excellent acting performances. A variety of plays including dramas, comedies, farces and musicals can be included during each season. We have found most of the title selections and productions to be very enjoyable.

The recent production of Eqivocation was, as usual, a wonderful performance. I have never been disappointed with Kavinoky production.The cost is always reasonable for the quality of the show and it is well appointed and charming theater. Great staff!

A great venue and an amazing production of To Kill a Mockingbird

Great little theater!My girlfriend and I went and saw a show there, the seats were great, the show was very well done and Im looking forward to going back again. If youre looking for a small local theater, with big Talent performing in front of you, I would recommend this theater.

Fabulous theater and wonderful show! We saw Spam-A-Lot and it was absolutely superb! Congratulations to the cast and crew door such a wonderful performance! Theyre currently working on raising money to replace the carpet and seats, which I can see being needed, but the rest was in tip top shape. The bathrooms were clean and next time I might have to treat myself to a magic cup to enjoy a cocktail during the show.

I have never seen a bad show there!There is not a bad seat in the house!!

This professional theater company venue, with its charming old school proscenium stage has a long history of quality theater productions. Now producing a more full-on range of pertinent plays and raucous musicals its a great place for a date, family outing, or an active evening with friends.

Great place to watch a show. Front row in balcony a little tight, but perfect seats.

Lovely venue, very talented cast, impressive stage design, choreography, singing. Having the cafe down the hall, is a real treat, with swift service, too. Free parking on street is a bonus.

Cool little theater, I didnt even know it existed but came for an event and discovered it that way. They are currently putting on Sweeney Todd and I bought tickets to the Sunday show so im super excited. There is a full bar in case you want a pre show cocktail. Seating is pretty decent and it looks like pretty much every seat in the house would have a decent or better than view. Not terribly hard to find. Parking may be challenging though.

Leg room was a bust. But I love this place!

Most recent play we attended was Ben Butler. I had not heard of the play before, but it was most enjoyable with an excellent cast. The great thing about Kavinoky is I may not have heard of every play, but have never been disappointed.I plan on getting tickets for the next season!

Nice small theater. Saw A View from the Bridge here last year. It was a very intense play if I may say so.

Relatively small theater with good acoustics and sight lines. Productions are generally well-reviewed.

I saw The Producers at Kavinoky and I had a great time. The theater is small and cozy and the production was a lot of fun to watch.

Nice little theater not far from the Peace Bridge. Love the refreshments at intermission and meeting the actors after the play.

Mama Mia was wonderful. Sophies (Arienne Davidow) singing and dancing is terrific. Beautiful small theater with less than 300 seats.

There are some seats that are undesirable. Anything on the floor towards the aisle from row f and back are obstructed view seats ( pillar in the way). Other than that, nice theater
