My 1 star is strictly on behalf of the ice hockey part of the facility and not the other ice skating classes as my daughter loves her ice skating class and I too love their program. HOWEVER DO NOT GO HERE FOR HOCKEY!!!! My son is new to ice hockey. He is 4 and has never touched ice before. There was ZERO teaching or education for my son. He got on the ice and fell (ok so what) no one came to teach him how to stand up. He was laying on the ice sprawled out the whole time trying his hardest to stand up and the only thing the instructor said to him all the 2 times he came by him was youll get it well no he wont get it if he is not being taught how to do the correct skills or ANY skills for that matter!!! My little 4 year old was left alone, ignored and mistreated. We couldnt take him out fast enough! On a positive note the regular ice skating classes are amazing!!! They are well organized and the teachers have amazing patience, super sweet, kind and caring they get 5 stars!!! Ice hockey here doesnt even deserve one star

Very sad. Mens league was the best in Illinois hands down. It costs a lot of money to play there which means you should have a say in where you play. People who have been playing for 10 years are leaving. Huge bummer.

Both of my boys play hockey at this rink, my husband in the mens league, daughter in figure, and I played before my knee injury. I could not be happier with the community here and the youth hockey director and adult hockey director. Unfortunately, some reviews I have seen here that are bashing the kids teams are from hockey coaches/parents from other rinks whose teams get distroyed by twin rinks (and I say this because I have seen the lack of class from these salty adults ). Twin rinks has some teams that would give travel teams a good run because these kids are hungry for the competition. I have never heard or seen any of our coaches encouraging cheap shots. Actually, to the contrary our coaches tell the kids to win by skill while also teaching them to be respectful to refs and other teams. Perhaps, if hockey is too intense, figure skating would be a better option.Which brings me to my unfortunate negative review regarding the figure skating director. My family is dedicated to twin and spends a lot of money there and when there was a scheduling issue to get my daughter to her figure class on thursday we asked if she could make up Saturday morning before both my boys have practice and we were shut down with no compassion,or understanding. I am starting to think getting her into hockey is the better option! If I could i would give 10 stars to this rinks hockey program!

I would like to thank you for the years of my life that you helped me trough. Your rink was always open to me and has the best cheese sticks. You have any amazing hockey learning program and an amazing rec team. I no longer go to the rink because I have moved to Maryland and have taken all the skills from this rink and now play AA ice hockey as well as start on my varsity high school team thank you for everything I have not been to the rink in 4-5 years but they teach you good lessons. Most of the kids don’t care if they lose they teach you to love the sport not just the win

Cheaters for every level of league play, especially children. Parents and director cheat in every way possible, this rink produces cheaters, cheap shot players, who will do whatever it takes to win. Way to go !

If you play hockey this is a great place to play. They have an online system to sub for teams that might be short a player or two. So you can basically play 5 or 6 nights a week if you wanted. If youve never played hockey and want to this place is awesome for adults (and kids) to learn. Im in the adult instructional league and the coaches are awesome. They make it fun and teach you the correct way to play. Completely worth it.
